As a fairy light enjoyer, I love this mod to pieces. However, there's an extremely noticeable difference when placed next to the vanilla fairy lights: the modded ones' bulbs are dimmer in comparison (the bulbs themselves, not the emitted light). Any possibility of making these lights' sprites unaffected by light, or however the vanilla ones do it?

FYI: The Frackin Universe devs say that this mod messes up the default unlocks. Which makes this mod incompatible with the new research system in FU.

Is it possible to place these without attaching them to a ceiling? I want to stretch them between houses in my colony.

@Top Nep (cakazuya) Yes, you can make a string with only one color. Like I mentioned, the recipe for the string lights is in the description. So if you want to make a red string light stack, you'd need 10 copper wire, 10 core fragments, and 10 glass, and 1 red dye.

I'm asking if you can make a string with only one color,like only blue,only red,only yellow.
Because I'm not looking for a string with multiple colors.I'm sorry if it's hard to understand me,I am brazilian and definitely not good enough at english

@Top Nep (cakazuya) I'm not sure what you mean. You can make a string light but only if you have the associated color dye for it. The recipe's in the mod description

Is it possible to make a light string with only one color? I'm just asking before putting it to work because everytime I uninstall a mod I need to restart my computor,and oh boy,does it take some time....

@Dead_Inside it should work, as I've personally modified the light source colors. Give me a pastebin of your starbound.log and let me see what the issue might be

Why don't the colours actually work? Like I'd have a red string light up but only normal light came from it, not red tinted light. Why is this happening and anyway to fix?

@Swan Sure! I'll tweak it very quickly

Could you change the crafting station to the "lights" section of the workbench? They kind of clog up the basic crafting menu, and by the time you have dye, copper wire, and glass, you'll almost definitely have a workbench.

@Draconis I know very little about weapon modding. The only weapons I've modded were the wrenches in the Lombax mod. Like I said before I'm very new to Starbound modding.

actualy come to think of it frakin universe has basically become an overhaul mod at this point more mechs ui improvments a byos built into it many extension mods new races, vendors quests and features.

also what do you know about making weapon mods?

@Draconis Okay. But if its a part of Frackin' Universe, I doubt someone will want to sub to FU for just the string lights. That's about 400 mbs for one feature, especially with how much of a commitment you're making when subbing to FU.

Should also be worth noting that I made this because there was no standalone addon for string lights that was similar to the Colored Flares and the Colored Torches. Make of that what you will.

@Draconis I'm aware. That's what I was referring to with the fairy lights in the swamp biomes in the frog aliens' huts (which has a merchant that sells the regular vanilla string lights). But those in particular aren't able to be colored. Or able to be crafted. These are for those who like the concept of the fairy lights, but dont like the restriction of just yellow being a choice.

I hope you realize fairylights are a thing right?
now if these could change on the fly that might be interesting but that might be a tad bit harder to do.
