@FruitSyrup usually music mods stay compatible with every version of Stellaris as there is a very low chance that it´s changed on how it works. This is also mentioned in the mod description on this page ;) (see "Important information regarding game updates")
FruitSyrup 7 Jun @ 5:51am
Hi! Just checking in, does this still work for 4.0+? And if so, might be worth updating the description!
spacecowboyyyyy 28 Apr @ 5:55pm
so good

@Darth Dangermouse Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm happy to hear you enjoy the music in this mod so much! :steamhappy:
Darth Dangermouse 7 Apr @ 7:45pm
Honestly I see this mod as a irreplaceable part of my Stellaris experience now.

This music is so good I often forget that it's not apart of the base game, it fits in so well with the rest of the Stellaris soundtrack and I absolutely love that.

Thank you so much for creating such great pieces of music.
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 24 Feb @ 6:53am
@The Cyber Skunk Words can hardly express my gratitude whenever I read comments like yours. :Hire: While it was my intention to create a soundtrack that should add something meaningful and enjoyable to the existing Stellaris music, I keep getting surprised by the positive feedback given my limited experience (and often distinct departure from Stellaris' style). So THANK YOU for sharing your thoughts. :)

Additionally, the tracks are available on my Youtube channel, but it appears there are no links specifically to my YT profile anywhere on this mod's page. The good news is that all but the latest track (Menace or Savior) are available on Youtube... and that one is probably only missing because I forgot to upload it.
https://www.youtube.com/@XTRMNTR2K

Last but not least, the links at the beginning of this page should still work just fine and contain the entire mod's worth of music as either .mp3 or .flac files. Just thought I'd mention it in case you missed it. :)
The Cyber Skunk 23 Feb @ 3:13pm
These tracks are unironically some of the best we've ever listened to and have permanently integrated into my stellaris experience. If it were at all possible, I'd love to see these uploaded to YT so we could add them to our personal playlist to listen to outside of stellaris, but I understand if that were like a copyright risk or something along those lines. I'm just lazy and don't want to use more than one platform for music on the go lol
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 8 Feb @ 1:43am
@Chara Thank you SO much! That's praise of the highest order in my ears! :steamhappy:

It's fascinating how we associate music with experiences we were having while listening to it, isn't it? This is especially true for game music, where we usually spend many hours playing while listening to the same few tracks - and even though the Stellaris soundtrack has grown over the years, there's still *a lot* of repetition going to happen, haha!

On a related note, I wanted to release an update with an additional track around the end of last year, but had a catastrophic SSD failure on Christmas Eve (but of course, when else?). I've since been able to reinstall my OS and get my computer up and running again but need to get a few more things in order before I can release the track; it's basically done though, so hopefully won't be too long (unless I forget about it :steamfacepalm:).
Chara 7 Feb @ 6:06pm
Hey so I've had this installed for ages so I opened it up to find out which are modded, and these tracks are synonymous with stellaris in my mind, like if you'd asked me if any of these were modded, I wouldn't have guessed a single one, I've heard them countless times now and they've cemented themselves into my subconscious
My favourites are echoes of light, smugglers blues and interstellaris^^
SirChristian288 9 Dec, 2024 @ 3:37pm
@XTRMNTR2K Looking forward to it!
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 9 Dec, 2024 @ 12:32pm
@The Second Coming of Christ™ Thank you so much! You'll be happy to hear that I am planning to release another update, though I can't say when yet. Either way, the mod should retain full functionality regardless of Stellaris updates in the meantime. :steamhappy:
SirChristian288 9 Dec, 2024 @ 11:13am
This is one of my favorite mods. Fits right in with the vanilla soundtrack.
El señor de la Lechuga 28 Jul, 2024 @ 12:17pm
One of the best mods, have used this ever since I started modding, and some of these songs are among my favorites while I'm playing.
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 28 Jul, 2024 @ 1:14am
@jessica! Thank YOU for your comment! :steamhappy: Glad to hear you are enjoying the mod! To be honest this was something that came about as much as a project to learn the ropes of working with a DAW as much as creating additional music for Stellaris that I'd want to listen to. The positive feedback I've gotten over the years has been nothing short of mind-blowing!
jessica! 27 Jul, 2024 @ 9:11pm
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful mod! :)
KubiG 5 Dec, 2023 @ 1:37pm
You're welcome :) I played the game a lot lately and I had a feeling as if something is 'missing', could not figure out what... Then I realized there is no extra music I'm so used to. xD
Regarding mods - yeah, it's better to keep the text saved somewhere. Mine got deleted during upload a few times as well.
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 4 Dec, 2023 @ 9:17am
@IllustrisJack Yeah I suspected that was the case. Similar thing happens with the mod page description, too (at least on the PDX site), which usually gets deleted or messed up - good thing I remembered to copy and paste the old one earlier today before uplading the update, it even preserved the formatting this time. :)
IllustrisJack 4 Dec, 2023 @ 9:12am
@XTRMNTR2K everytime you create the mod using the paradox mod thingy it always sets that path automatically, it´s annoying but you have to remove it every single time :D
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 4 Dec, 2023 @ 5:57am
@KubiG Holy Moly, thanks for spotting this! To be honest I have no idea why there would be an - absolute - path reference in the descriptor file at all! That does not make sense... How this mod even worked for anyone (besides myself) is beyond me. Thanks again for reporting, I just fixed it and the mod should work without the need for workarounds (plus it no longer shows as obsolete... for now).
KubiG 4 Dec, 2023 @ 3:58am
Hi, does this mod work for you people?
I've been unable to make this mod work in the current version, the new tracks don't show up, the game keeps saying "Could not find files for *your mod* ". I believe it is because there is a wrong path in the descriptor file (there shouldn't be any path at all in this file actually)

I got your mod to work by creating my own copy of yours and deleting this "path" line in the descriptor.
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 9 Nov, 2023 @ 3:36am
@YutaniWakazashi This isn't the first time Paradox added new music to the game. Pretty much every major DLC has had new music files added, and there was never an issue. It's rather simple, really: The main game and DLC music gets loaded first, and then any mod gets loader after that, adding any music that is included in that mod's list for tracks.

As I said before, unless Paradox changes the way this whole process works, I don't see why any music mod should stop working :)
YutaniWakazashi 8 Nov, 2023 @ 7:49pm
Even with the upcoming update adding music files?

I just wanted to make sure that Paradox messing with music files wouldn't mess with this mod. I love it!
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 4 Nov, 2023 @ 1:29am
@Mortarch of Blood
If they are pure music mods and don't add or modify anything else regarding gamepay then no, these mods should never need updating. :) They might show up as outdated in the launcher, but will continue to work just fine.

By the way, if you are looking for another high-quality mod featuring original music, I highly recommend IllustrisJack's mod "Handcrafted Soundtracks / Music by Suabia". These two music mods are pretty much always active in all of my Stellaris games. :D
Ciaphas Cain 3 Nov, 2023 @ 6:35pm
Do mods like these ever need updating? Never used them before so I'm pretty clueless if music mods will work or not
Whacky.PC 6 Aug, 2023 @ 10:36am
@XTRMNTR2K Thats completely fair love your work though man keep it up, maybe you can make music inspired by it
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 3 Aug, 2023 @ 11:26am
@Whacky.PC what do you mean? Making a mod using music from the movie? If so, no, that's not my style. Original content only. (:
Whacky.PC 3 Aug, 2023 @ 10:32am
Have you thought about making a mod having Oppenheimer Destroyer of worlds music?
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 1 Jul, 2023 @ 10:30am
@A-Train Thank you! It's been a while since I played Stellaris - guess I'll have to catch up on all the latest DLC one of these days. :steamhappy:
N8 1 Jul, 2023 @ 10:25am
One of my favorite mods for stellaris keep up the great work bro
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 2 Apr, 2023 @ 5:05am
@Obinice Thank you so much! Your kind words are - pardon the pun - music to my ears! This mod also holds a special place in my heart, because it was the first time I was serious about really creating any kind of music. If you enjoy the music in this mod, be sure to check out my BATTLETECH tribute album that is linked above. Some of the tracks on the album are even variations of music found in this mod. :)
Obi 2 Apr, 2023 @ 2:44am
I just wanted to chime in and say I've also been enjoying this mod for years, it's absolutely a must-have for me! It also opened me up to a whole new genre of music to be honest, this is the kinda thing I listen to while I'm working these days :-D So thank you!
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 12 Feb, 2023 @ 12:43am
@Grund4life Thank you so much for your comment! I am happy to hear you are enjoying the mod/album!

And let's face it, while the soundtrack of Stellaris is - pun intended - absolutely stellar, listening to the same tracks over and over again for hundreds or thousands of hours does get a little old. :)
Grunt4life 11 Feb, 2023 @ 11:10pm
Incredible work im forever grateful for this work of pure art and blissful sound
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 6 Nov, 2022 @ 2:34am
@n.pedrazalis Yes, unless something has drastically changed in a Stellaris update, it should still be possible to use multiple music mods. As a matter of fact, I used to run several others in parallel with my own mod, such as the Handcrafted Stellaris Soundtracks by Suabia. The only reason for limiting the number of active music mods in your game would be memory usage (aside from getting lost among hundreds of tracks, haha). :)
n.pedrazalis 5 Nov, 2022 @ 8:51pm
Hello i have a only question , can i use multiple music mods ? and they can work together without problem ? it should not conflict so i can choose all the music on the game i suppose ?
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 20 Sep, 2022 @ 1:30pm
@T145 I don't think so. As far as I am aware, the game only supports .ogg files. And at this time I don't have any plans to return to Stellaris modding anytime soon.

You are free to try it for yourself, though - that is, download the .flac album and make a mod for personal use out of it. All I ask is that you don't share it on the workshop or anywhere else.
T145 20 Sep, 2022 @ 1:03pm
Would it be possible to upload the lossless version as a separate mod?
PinBag 15 Jul, 2022 @ 5:10am
I think it might just be steam being weird. unsubscribed and subscribed again and it still wasn't working. shame, was looking forward to listening to it.
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 14 Jul, 2022 @ 11:12am
@PinBag Did you activate the mod in your current playset? I just tried running the game with my local copy of the mod - which is identical to the one on the workshop - and the songs play both in the main menu and show up in the game as well.

If setting the mod to active in your current mod playset doesn't work, try unsubscribing and subscribing again. It appears that sometimes steam (or Stellaris) does funky stuff with subscribed mods.
PinBag 14 Jul, 2022 @ 7:34am
Subscribed to the mod but the songs are not appearing in game for some reason. is the mod up to date?
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 2 Jun, 2022 @ 5:53am
@Saber Thanks a lot for the feedback! :)
Saber 1 Jun, 2022 @ 10:31pm
nice stuff. pretty fitting.
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 24 May, 2022 @ 4:05am
@ProphetFallen I have added new songs with every update of the mod (last one in August 2021 as you can see), but never removed any songs, no. Why do you ask?
ProphetFallen 23 May, 2022 @ 8:36pm
have you ever edited the playlist? added new songs/taken some away?
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 22 Feb, 2022 @ 4:04am
@give you up, let you down
Thanks a lot for letting us know about this! As I said before, unless something is changed about the way purely cosmetic mods like music packs are used by the game, this mod should always stay compatible no matter the version number. And thanks for your feedback as well, I am glad you are enjoying the mod! :)
Give you up, Let you down 21 Feb, 2022 @ 11:14am
Still work for me, game version 3.*, nothing goes wrong. And I do enjoy these wonderful music, thanks so much :)

@Melkor Thank you so much! Glad to hear you're enjoying it! :)
Schmeeda 2 Jan, 2022 @ 1:27pm
Really love the mod! Echoes of Light is just perfect, gives my playthrough so much more spirit, thank you for this amazing mod!
XTRMNTR2K  [author] 28 Nov, 2021 @ 2:12am
@n.pedrazalis
Why? Is the mod not working? I haven't run the game with the latest updates yet, but if it's just the warning in the mod launcher you are concerned about there's nothing to worry about. The mod should still work just fine (and also be achievement compatible).

So unless something big happens that actually breaks this mod's functionality, there will be no more updates just to change a number in a text file, sorry. For all intents and purposes, I consider this mod complete.
n.pedrazalis 27 Nov, 2021 @ 2:25pm
Hello could you uptate for the last version 3.2 please
