Starbound references ABC files in its songs folder to play music.
You can either go through the painful process of making ABC formatted music, download some, or you can get a converter to turn MIDI's into ABC.
btw the ms path is steam/steamapps/common/starbound/assets/user/songs

wow im very impressed by this mod even now that this game is kinda dead its music features is the best and adding popular records like the indiana jones theme is just amazing ! im sure you wouldnt uptade it anymore so im not gonna wirte about any more songs... i wish you all a good day :)

To anyone wondering if your friend needs this to hear the music they do not. My friend Rin and I play this and as she is murdering everything I am jamming out for her lol kinda like battle music.

@Night Light I am 90% sure they do not need it to hear the songs, I remember playing Take On Me for a friend who just got the game, and I know for almost certain that he did not have anything at all downloaded before then
