P.P.S. Does adding these mods/GPs affect the asset allocation numbers available (and limited by non-sensical Firaxis)? For example, I love the mod Real Great People, but if removing it means I can add 60 more assets like unique units and buildings and civs, it's a no brainer, especially after the game goes stale after thousands of hours (and years) of playing. Entiendos? Do you know if this is how it all works? I'm techno stupid.

As per your very first response, I say add more Merchants. Particularly now that the Monopolies game mode demands more, and they are usually gone by the time in the game you need Merchants to found Products, so you are lucky to have one, yet 9 or more Product slots to fill like it's easy. great Merchants also incentivizes making Commercial Hubs, which don't really add all that much other than Trade Capacity. You could pillage another player and couple of times and get more than a lifetime of coin from Commercial Hubs. Money is the single easiest thing to get in the game, so I think Great Merchants offer a fantastic opportunity to something interesting or powerful in the game.

P.S. Is this mod working fine these days? It's been three years since the last comment. I guess my question could apply to all your Equally mods, whose idea and size I love.

@AOM Looks the equally great people mods aren't working as intended. All of the wonders that the great person will build are available to be built in the city from the get go.

Hi @Litteul-Kevin,the mod seems to work with R&F. We played one complete game with R&F installed before de-installing it, and the mod caused no problems in that game.

[He is a merchant at chinese war kingdom era (Zhang qian is lived in Han dynasty,Fan Li was much more ancient than him) ,as the Patron saint of business in china till now,just like the hermes of greece.He became rich for 3 times,and donate his weallth among the citizens for 3 times as well. This is the reason why he are praised by later generations]

@Faysal, this mod is compatible with Resourceful 1&2. I just tried restarting the game 5 times with only this mod and resourceful 2 and there were no problems with the board games on the map. Try starting a new game. Updates to mods that add or remove resources can have adverse effects on a saved game that was started using that mod before the update. That is just how the game works, and there is nothing we can do about it. If there were, we would.

ahhhh okay. well i play with this mod, i enjoy it, it has compatibilities with an incredible amount of mod (like the equal great scientists as well) and didnt show any bugs to me (yet). So great mods, thank you so much for them! (im talking about this and scientists).

It most certainly is correct English. I will give you examples to illustrate the meaning.

1. Era change: Levi Strauss (1829-1902). He was an Atomic era (began 1945) merchant. We moved him to the Industrial era.

2. Removal: Mary Catherine Goddard. This merchant no longer appears in the game.

Borealis, the purpose of this mod is to make all the merchants equally great. We removed some merchants from the list because they weren't very great, some were historically insignificant (or not merchants), and it was disappointing to build commercial zones and districts only to receive a dud merchant. We can consider adding more merchants, but, if we do, they won't be the not-so-great ones we removed.

i agree that they are powerful, thats why there cant be too less?

If you stop using this mod, all the removed merchants will return. However, the merchants we added will no longer show up. There are 21 merchants in the base game. With this mod, there are 24. We didn't want to add too many as the merchants are pretty powerful, but if many people think there are still not enough, we could always add more.
