There was something disturbingly familiar about the letter before me. The handwriting was all pretty curves.

"You're in a zombie apocalypse, Max."

The truth split my skull open, a glaring green light washing the lies away.

I was fighting for my life along with a tiny guy in a space suit, a crude drawing of Sonic the Hedgehog come to life, and a Japanese high schooler that looked as if he lived at a gym made of anabolic steroids.

I was in Left 4 Dead 2, the game's files so horrifyingly modded that, if I were back on the force, I'd need to identify it through it's dental records.

Funny as hell, it was the most horrible thing I could think of.
