The names of the factions are missing after the first turn, I dont know why. I only use this three mods, Radious, Radious Units and this one. Playing in german

Big thanks to this really heavy and beautiful mod, the best I've tested so far in terms of artificial intelligence, really a challenge! Thank you for this wonderful mod.

Does it not work without those two modes?
as1031010 21 Sep, 2022 @ 7:20am
Do I need Radius Total War Mod or Radius Total Units Mod?
Cloud71 3 Nov, 2021 @ 6:04am
A great job and well done, THANK YOU.
But I was wondering if in the future you planned to make a version without the battle rework.
The battles I have played so far are very short-lived.

Ran another campaign recently ...... and in my zeal for a real challenge I would note the following: the Radious mod has one GLARING flaw about it when it comes to keeping the game challenging. It lies in the diplomatic area. Everyone is too nice! I get it that people wanted to be able to manipulate their enemies via diplomatic relations ... but in doing so ... the games becames far too easy ... you end up having one singular front. I prefer the challenge and reality of having very few allies ... everyone should be suspicious and belligerent towards everyone (as it is in Vanilla mode). I can't even find a mod that reduces the diplomatic relations. Radious campaigns always devolve into giant allegiances pitted against one another and all your neighbors pose zero threat. These campaigns are fun for the first 25 turns ... after that it's autopilot/steam roll (dullsville). The game needs to stay consistently or even progressively difficult ... and no one has addressed that.

Hey man. I love this mod (and hate it Lmao) but there's a small thing that i noticed. It removes the gorgeous UI that radious adds for each faction. And when i'm abandoning settlements, the abandoning icon doesn't show up as well as abandoned settlements also don't have their icons so it's hard to find out where the settlements are. Thanks for your work, makes WRE really REALLY difficult which is why sometimes I just hate everything XD. but I'm a masochist and I won't stop until I beat the campaign.

Hey Greq7, i love you mods for radious. Just wanted to ask if you can make a version of this without the battle part? So a version to only change the campaign aspects. Thanks. :)

@american_tiger thanks for your feedback. Once I have time I will make changes you have asked.
armenian_tiger 7 Jan, 2021 @ 11:53am
Last thing to note: it wasn't until about 400+ AD that I retook Belgica and realized that Forest/Timber resources gain you access to Onagers/Large Onagers. I badly could have used Onagers prior but the Large Onager is frankly just lame. Every battle thereafter is just blasting away the Barbarians with explosive shot and sitting back forcing them to attack my defensive stance. If there was one adjustment, I'd advocate removing Large Onagers (at least make it harder to acquire, or put a limit to how many you can recruit).
armenian_tiger 7 Jan, 2021 @ 11:52am
The cost of raising armies and the weak replenishment rates really tax your coffers. Ultimately I conceded a bunch of frontier settlements and kept falling back. Almost every Barbarian wanted war with me. Furthermore it was brutal that 2 african nations immediately waged war and I had to keep them at bay with 3 little armies until the Garamantians (ally) snuffed one out and I took the other. Priests are huge benefits to economy and should be used in every province that has substantial income. Eventually the economic improvements start to kick in and you can start to hold the line with several armies defending your territory. By about 400 AD there's ample money coming in to support numerous armies and start reconquering. By 406 AD I had taken all of Britain and even parts of Greece. I'll wait and see what the Hun invasion is like at 420 AD but at this point it's kinda on autopilot. Your corruption does take a big hit once your empire/imperium grows to its fullest scale.

Quick update: I abandoned the Vandal campaign as I found it going to smoothly/unchallenging. Tried WRE (Legendary) again. 1st I tried it with the V2 Mod and the $80K was helpful but really the access to recruiting high end units from the beginning made it too easy. So I started again (WRE-Legendary) with no V2 Mod but I did keep the Garrison mod (which isn't that helpful of a cheat since the added garrison units need time to get replenished and due all the chaos replinishment rates are really low ... it takes like 4 years to get those units to full strength. Anyway it was an extreme challenge.
armenian_tiger 23 Dec, 2020 @ 2:02pm
Furthermore the sacking/looting revenue can be obscene. I immediately b-lined for Africa with my two hordes and sacked 6 Roman territories along the way (net result was 90K!). That's quite the war chest. I did burn through about 75% of it of it converting my buildings, etc ... so to some degree I needed it but it still seems excessive and it does decrease the challenge. Balancing budgets is huge aspect of the game's challenge in my opinion and it just seems to be lacking. I do enjoy the increased battle challenges (no more defending a town a wiping out enemy stacks with 4 units. But I will also note that the Radious mod heavily favors missile units, so once you figure that out you can tilt the battles in your favor. Anway ...That's my 3/5th of an opinion ... again thanks for all your efforts.
armenian_tiger 23 Dec, 2020 @ 2:02pm
Greg, cheers for all your hard work here. I first tried this mod as Rome (VeryHard) and found it dishearteningly difficult (even with increased garrisons) but as a Barbarian (Vandals - Very Hard)) it's alot easier. In fact, it's almost too easy. I'm slowly/methodically steamrolling Roman territories in Spain/Africa (even though I have the V2 mod). Granted I'm only on turn 30 and the other Barbarians haven't turned on me/each other yet. But what makes it too easy is there's no economic challenge. The money comes in too easily. On turn 30, with 9 territories I'm making 20K per turn and I'm only getting started. I assume the monetary influx is a rollover from Radious but I'd contend that you might consider addressing it.

Does it work with vanilla attila or I need the 2 modes you say it works on?
bodmergygax 4 Nov, 2020 @ 12:46pm
Ok guy, thanks for your work !
Greq7  [author] 4 Nov, 2020 @ 2:57am
I dont think so
Greq7  [author] 3 Nov, 2020 @ 1:46pm
Also the loading should no matter because my mods will load as they should unless you are using something that conflict.
Greq7  [author] 3 Nov, 2020 @ 1:44pm
hey bodmergygax. Keep your comments here. I will look into it when I have time. It seems like I have done some small mistakes in latest battle improvements. I will try to slowly revert those changes. I don't think Radious has anything to do with it. Previously battles were slightly less visual but AI and playability as well as realism has been great in my mods. But recently I have tried to improve the visual side of the battle and it impacted the realism. I will fix it but it might take some time. days, weeks.
bodmergygax 28 Oct, 2020 @ 10:27am
Last question, i have two graphical mods, Chi-Rho emblems and weapons textures, they must be before or in the end in the load order? 1 your mod, 2 Aoc units mods for Radious 3 Radious units mod 4 Radious main mod and 5 and 6 the two mods that i'm talking about? ( i will delete this comment after the answer, don't worry :p )
bodmergygax 28 Oct, 2020 @ 9:40am
My second exemple, it happened many times when i was the defender during a siege. When my city is attacked, i like to concentrate my troops on the central place. Most of the time, the ennemies attack my soldiers only using one path instead of taking them from behind like before when they could. Also, somme ennemies units during the siege was totally inactive. They enter in the city, watch their comrades fighting but do nothing. I saw twice a ennemy unit that could attack my troops from behind staying inactive whereas they were very close. That never happened before the update. Now, i will tal about normal battle. I noticed that the AI more exposes their general. They are less careful and often they charge without waiting for your army when that advantges them. In conclusion, the AI battle is less tactical. Your mod is very good, that's why i tell you that. Sorry for my english, it's not my native langage (French). Tell me what do you think.
bodmergygax 28 Oct, 2020 @ 9:40am
Ok no problem, i will explain. I noticed ( after Radious update, so it is probably the reason) that AI didn't behave like before. The campaign's AI seems normal, nothing strange in their decisions or movements. On the other hand, the AI during sieges was different. I have two exemples in mind: i attacked a little stellement with two big armies and i don't know why the little roman garrison, instead of waiting for me in the village ( city with no walls) started to go out of the village to come in front of my second army ( reinforcements). They didn't attack but they turned back to my first army. They walked between my two armies on the map with no logical.
Greq7  [author] 28 Oct, 2020 @ 8:22am
@bodmergygax mod is now updated. Name of that city has been changed. Please explain what battle AI behaviour? I need more detailed info if you want me to adjust anything in the future.
Greq7  [author] 28 Oct, 2020 @ 8:09am
it works, I had to delete the radious mods from data folder. Steam will download new version automatically when you subscribe again. I have no idea why Radious did it. it all worked well before.
bodmergygax 26 Oct, 2020 @ 2:14pm
This mod still works or we have to wait that you update it because of Radious main mod update? Because i noticed strange AI behaviour during battles.
Greq7  [author] 25 Oct, 2020 @ 1:45am
Radious updated his mod. I have crashes at start. Just so you guys know.
Greq7  [author] 25 Oct, 2020 @ 1:33am
ah btw this mod should go first but I think it goes first automatically anyway
Greq7  [author] 25 Oct, 2020 @ 1:22am
@bodmergygax try it on Very Hard dif. but keep battles at Hard always.
Also I will check on that name. Thank You for pointing it out.
bodmergygax 22 Oct, 2020 @ 1:26am
One more thing, with this activated, Ctesiphon, the Sassanid city becomes Tesifon.
bodmergygax 21 Oct, 2020 @ 7:35am
Hello guy, i discover your mod today. I really want to test it. What is the load order of the mods? This mod must be below or above Radious main mods? and graphical mods must be at the end? I have another question, for the best challenge possible, the campaign difficulty = Very hard or legendary, same question for battles difficulty?
Greq7  [author] 3 Oct, 2020 @ 5:39pm
it's fine we don't have to rush this. Remind me about it even if it takes months or years. I also don't always have time. Sometimes I do not mod or play Attila for months but I always come back because other total war games are just too shallow if you know what I mean :)
Bern 3 Oct, 2020 @ 5:31pm
I dont mind, though im not sure when i will have time for it.
Greq7  [author] 3 Oct, 2020 @ 5:04pm
彼女は私の完璧な女王 also make sure your battle difficulty is set to HArd not Very Hard like campaign.
Greq7  [author] 3 Oct, 2020 @ 5:01pm
Bern if you are interested we could try and weed out the table that cause the problem. In order to do that I would need a couple of hours of your time some day to playtest it. Its very time consuming but if you think its worth it we can try to arrange that session/sessions.
Greq7  [author] 3 Oct, 2020 @ 4:56pm
@彼女は私の完璧な女王 I have reduced AI's buffs for defence and morale of Infantry in higher difficulties
Greq7  [author] 3 Oct, 2020 @ 4:55pm
@Bern sorry to hear that. I never had a chance to test it on MP. I'm not sure which table would cause that.
Bern 3 Oct, 2020 @ 2:24pm
This mod breaks when played with MP Coop Campaign. Game instantly disconnects
Pendra [GER] 1 Oct, 2020 @ 3:51pm
Hey I'm playing an campaign with WRE on Very Hard like I normally do and love all your changes sooo much except Morale feels a little bit weird sometimes like on my northern Front the germanic factions their Spearmen dont flee until they have only 10 men or so left even if i kill all their generals :D . Btw I burned all except the provinces in Spain down and just put 6 priests and two garrison armys there easyest start ever 100k income and 60k just from this one City. The first time I defended against an enemy fleet i got nearly crushed because of the AI changes. The fact that the AI isnt completly stupid anymore is just nice. And the heavy punishment for long Invasions is just great defending sooo much easier. Thank you really much for this great Mod :lunar2019coolpig:

Does your mod compatible with other radious unit addon(such as champloo, AUM, etc)?
mmk749 10 Nov, 2019 @ 11:34am
Covers all aspects that were worth improving in my opinion and as far as I can tell right now, you managed to improve them! So thank you very much for this outstanding piece of work that you so kindly chose to share!
mmk749 10 Nov, 2019 @ 11:30am
Simply great!
Greq7  [author] 8 Nov, 2019 @ 4:31pm
@pat-92 unfortunately I have a break from modding Attila. I know about this problem but if I make them friendly it would cause other issues.
Bergator 1 Nov, 2019 @ 3:34am
Hi Greq7, I hope you are still working in your mods because they are 'of my taste=realistic' but there is something I don't understand.

When I'm playing with Visigoths and I liberate 'Macedonia' after win a siege battle, this faction get so strong in few turns. They start to conquering all the cities of ERE and they become the third strongest faction in my game. I dont know if it is intented or its not possible to tweak.
I would like to know if it is possible to nerf all the liberated minor Roman Factions or change the diplomatic situation for trying that the ERE or WRE have good relations with these liberated factions to prevent the war between them.

Keep enhancing ATW !!! :)
