Why is this mod no longer needed? Does the new mod include all the missiles in this mod?

I still wish we had a separate unit missile like in Civ 5 and be able to board them on nuke subs and missile cruisers...

@Riekopo You can use both this and the other mod together if you want. There is no conflict between them. And yes, this mod will no longer get new updates. As it is not really needed.

Anyone made progress on a cruise missile? something not WMD but like the civ 5 cruise missile. They should be able to be used without causing war but cause a degradation of reputation/diplomatic relationship. Meanwhile I will load Civ 5 for some good old fashioned missile fun.

That is the one element of Civ 5 I really miss now in Civ 6. I am trying to figure out how to make that too. Maybe modify an aircraft? Make it from a fighter and make the graphics that of a missile? I dont know my modding skill is not that good.

Is there any way to create a mod similar to this, but instead of the missiles being basically rocket artillery units, they a projects like the nuclear devices? I have been trying to create a WMD mod where you can build cruise missiles in your stockpile that would behave exactly like both nuke types except it would have a blast radius of zero, no fallout, and no consequences to amenities. So far, I have yet to figure out how to create a mod like this. Can anyone help?

The missiles that carry nukes don't show the animation when used.

This mod looks excellent. I'll give it a whirl. Just wondering if you can explain a few things for me though.

Can aircraft carry any of these missiles? Not sure if it's possible with the game dynamics, but it would be good if modern bombers and fighter aircraft could carry at least the BRBM and SRBM, with perhaps bombers carrying up to the MRBM.

Is there a way of choosing if it carries a nuclear warhead? Unless I've misunderstood how it works, it would be good if you could choose a conventional warhead or a nuclear one.

Oh, The attack strenght. Maybe the combat strenght on missile launchers shoulnt be big at all?
40 doesnt feel right for a launcher unit. Maybe set it to 10?

I always use this mod, and its awesome!

It needs some balancing though.
Could you add that anti-air units defend against these? The missiles are kinda OP since they can fire from far away and no missile defense exists. They are easy to kill if you get close, but I feel there needs to be some kind of defense unit for these.

As balance, maybe put these missiles on a max use per unit? Like 5? Then you need to build another?

I'm with Kurnn- an anti-missile Laser Jeep like in C&C Zero Hour would be good counter to these ballistics. But since they're so weak against armored units, it seems that maybe a tweak on range might be in order?

I love mods that adds more units, with new graphics and doesnt just replace something in game.
But the stats on the units are a bit to OP. They makes Battleships and Bombers weaker.

I want to use this mod though! Any chance you could re-balance them in damage and give them features or negative effects so they either do good damage, but dies fast, or something like that?

Also, are you working on any mod to add units in other eras? I really love the idea with this mod!

Oh, do these work with "MOAR units"?

IIRC when the US conducted a theoretical test to see if an ICBM was launched at us, we'd have somwhere around a 15% chance of actually hitting it.

Forgot who said it, but it really puts how diffucult it is to take down an ICBM when it's screaming down at you "It's like trying to hit a bullet with another bullet"

These missiles are powerful bombs, they would rip an entire city apart in real life. Only thing is an underground bunker and that is not in this mod. :)

Is it not possible to make a building like in earlier games civ2 or civ3 where you could have shelter or something and it gave a random chance of stopping rocket? or if the target has shelter then the rocket would have random chance of failing?

I'm all for limiting the usage, but I don't think anti-missile units are even really needed. Missile defense doesn't work very well in the real world either - even in training excercises with perfect conditions and exact knowledge of the flightpath and other parameters, the defense systems still often fail to intercept anything.
