I have to say your assets are bloody amazing! Well done.

Thanks! I've been thinking occasionally about what it would take to update it with the oculus and new fountain so I can just plop it by the road instead of putting a zonable pedestrian path in the park. probably a new item to not mess with the footprint.

I wasnt going to use this asset, but wow!! What an amazing job you've done, and it makes my Hyde Park look so good. Thank you!

no worries - I put floodlights where they are on the building, but agree that the in-game floodlights are very powerful.

Maybe thats the idea, but floodlights were too dense. Idk, now they are ok. Mabe that was a bug of mine (but kind of these are on screens)
Sorry for disturbing

Wait, what's up with the lights? The floodlights or the illuminated windows?

The building is great, but lights are not(
Still thumbs up and etc, but fix lights please(

Think newyorkinmelbourne is saying that it is nice to have some Sydney competition :-)
Robert  [author] 7 May, 2018 @ 4:29am
@newyorkinmelbourne, @hemeac looks like the go-to for good Melbourne stuff. It's a great city but it's not my turf ;)

This is another awesome addition to the collection. Even though I am from Melbourne, it's about time someone finally started putting some of Sydney's architecture on the Workshop! Thanks again!

went back and checked my pre-merged file, it was 377 tris for the corner boys and 289 for the others. 6,132 tris, just over 60% of the total triangles in the model :O

Thanks!

Great job and nice addition to the workshop

It is, that is why when someone requested it, I said I maybe :-)
Robert  [author] 6 May, 2018 @ 10:48pm
Holy heck, that's an imposing building.
hemeac 6 May, 2018 @ 10:36pm
Think it's achieved the desired look and would be something that I would take a look at doing if I was to attempt the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne. I feel that mine would look vaguely human.
Robert  [author] 6 May, 2018 @ 3:53pm
Wait that can't be right.. I'll check after work. -_-
Robert  [author] 6 May, 2018 @ 3:37pm
Thanks! It was a challenge balancing having enough shape to pass at a distance and catch the light, and being low tri enough to have 20 of them. They're about 220 each I think. In the real memorial they are unique, at one point I was trying to model each of them but decided it was, uh.. misguided. :P
hemeac 6 May, 2018 @ 2:30pm
I love what you've done with the statues, easily worth the extra tris.
ZanderTheMander 6 May, 2018 @ 11:00am
It's from Sydney but the architecture looks like it would look good in a Los Angeles setting too.

Very nice work!! Thanks for sharing.
