There are no garrisons in tiny cities.
The building information says it provides garrison, but it doesn't exist.

Hey, late to the party, but I decided to give CoK a go since I love dresden's work. The description says this is a wip, so my question is if it is still worth downloading. Will it be a fun and playable experience?

Also, Levy level archers are still worthless even with the FOK update. They will be decimated by javelins and only kill maybe 5 -10 of them beforehand. If left in skirmish mode they fall so far back that cavalry will pick them off meaning you have to always waste a support infantry unit for protection.

Does anyone know which file(s) control the AI unit number in a stack. I have played 4 campaigns and in all of them the AI seems to spawn only single unit armies (no mutli-unit stacks).

@KNOCK KNOCK ITS ME, BIG BIRD Sorry for the late reply. I haven't played Fall Of Kings with Crucible of Kings in awhile but when I did play them both together I don't remember having any problems with them?

You have to just check for yourself. I think the load order is FOK then COK. I did use AD878 skins with them and I think my load order was AD, FOK and then COK?

I just played some of the Fall of Kings Beta with the Crucible of Kings build, also played in with the Anno Domini 878 skin mod and looks pretty good.

Anno Domini 878 are still updated the Kings and General skins on campaign map and battles, looks pretty cool.

Is there an option to play with normal unit sizes. Historically armies in this time and this place were quiet small and i don't like that the starting units have different unit sitzes?

I like how it slows down the battles but it makes ranged units virtually useless, even against unshielded unarmoured skirmishers, the arrows just bounce off their tunics. The killing power of ranged projectiles should be increased, and also they should have more ammo to compensate for the longer battles and less casualties inflicted to justify their value.

anyone having issues with it just crashing or is it supposed to take forever to load? No , im not running a toaster i have a beefy system. I disabled all other mods and just with this one it crashes every time i try to load?

@spartanhija You can try shieldwall overhaul with a submod that increases Viking raids. I think they are done with this mod unfortunately.

Would you consider making a stand alone mod for increased viking raids to be compatible with other stuff, I'm fairly certain that would be very enjoyable to users.

Also I have -25 penalty with all factions for 'great power' I literally have 10 units 2/3 are levy and I have taken 1 level 1 farm as Mide. Its outrageous there should be a way to toggle some of this stuff off.

This mod is absolutely ridiculous, its not even fun. Foreign soil attrition -25? insane. All I am looking for is increased viking fleet invasions, anyone have suggestions I cant find one other than this but this one has so much nerfs in it its not even fun, armor decreased by -10 to 2 for levy units holy shit son wtf?

I like the title system in this mod. I read you Increased chances for random invasions, especially in later game, can you increase chances in early campaign, they seem to always hit Ireland and about three places in southern and eastern England, would be cool to have more random viking raiders hitting everywhere on the map

Find the mod very goodl, far better than radious.
But what is the best level of difficulty for campaign and diplomacy?

Play hard, hard and normal battles.

I am now with wessex in 897 and it has become very easy since the other factions no longer have full armies in the field, Northumbria is large but has no armies.
East Anglia too, but it was easy for me to take it.
Only the Vikings sometimes have strong armies.

What is up with the supplies? -25 for being in foreign soil and -10 for stance? I can't march from Wessex to Wales without troops abandoning by 3 turns or less.

I don't know if it is problem with off version things, but starting new campaign with Ultra scale unit sizes are stuck with vanilla Ultra size(160) for starting army. only just newly recruited or AI starting armies are set to modded (240) Ultra size.

I have the battle difficulty set to normal as advised, but my armies are crushing everything in their path. Battles are way too easy. Is there something I'm missing? Level 1 levy axes/spears are beating enemy level 3 levie axes/spears with little or no casualties.
