this is NOT obsolete at all >.< any chance this is going to get updated?
in order to move the positioning of the feed we still need this mod, the only broken thing currently is the "reverse order" functionality and it'd be a blessing if we could use that again

Yeah, it works fine, I've it located in the bottom close to the center, and the “counter for duplicate” seems to work as well, as far I can tell – I just noticed that in the Launcher/MODS background that it still says SANCTIONED, so I just tried activated it, as I’ve had it deactivated sense way back the update and the text OBSOLETE SINCE THE OCTOBER 2021. PATCH became a thing and just figured it wouldn’t work anymore.

But hey, looks like it’s still ok, give it a go m8 :)

@Whatever69 It works for you? Can you move the killfeed around like it says in the mod description? It's marked "obsolete" because it doesn't work anymore (hasn't been updated in over 3 years).

Agree with below, I'd like to reposition the feed again (which is mainly what I used this for) since vanilla doesn't properly position the feed where I want it to. Adding this functionality to UI tweaks would be great.

Dear Prop Joe, i was using this mod for a long time, now that Fatshark 'added' this to base game the stacking doesnt work properly. Instead of updating this mod, would it not be better to add repositioning of the killfeed to UI Tweaks? I for one would love to see it happen. Nevertheless thanks for this mod. My reason for repositioning is that my screen is 3840 pixels wide, I dont see the ui elements on the side well.

But mods are NOT the developer's problem, the community makes the mods not the developers, it is the mod author's job to fix the mod through any updates that may break the addon as it has been with just about every single game out there.

Fatshark said 'Look! This is a Quality of Life patch!', every time they make a patch that touches the UI a lot (and is no different from the existing mods),

Only a lot of mods are being destroyed.

They started supporting the mod.
But every update is made, modders have to be called in and fix the mod without pay, and users are experiencing inconvenience.

As long as they continue to patch doesn't consider the mod at all,
Rather than improving the quality of life, these modifications bring change for worse, disguised as improvements. :angry_yeti:

Please update this if possible! As other comments are saying; definitely not obsolete as repositioning the killfeed was just as important and helpful

I'd also like to add that my favorite part of this mod was being able to move the killfeed to the top left of my crosshair. Makes it easier to see WHAT was killed near the center of my screen, rather than who killed something.

Definitely not obsolete, without the mod, quite often kills are not grouped together correctly. :/

Yes, it is in the base game now, but uou can't move the feeds around the screen, which is an important option for me along with the UI mod.

I don't like that this is in the base game now because now I don't get a ton of kills showing up on my screen at once, it's just x3 by default.. there needs to be an option to turn this off if we want.

I'm not able to see the lists/sliders to alter the settings in this mod. I have to blindly click and hope I click something in order to move it about.

Thanks very much for the mod! It's been an essential one for everyone in my group ever since it was sanctioned.

Any chance we could get an opacity slider, and also an ability to turn off the black underlay thing between the two icons?

That's doable, but I'll probably never get around to doing it since I have a thousand other things I'd like to do, and it's not that trivial to do, since it involves custom textures.

Seems there’s an issue with saving the sec. changes in the Show Duration, from game Quit to starting the game again, not that it changes the input I’ve made, still shows the e.g. 10 sec in the Killfeed, but it only shows for the 4 sec (default) ingame - as far as I can figure out, then whatever changes I make from 5-11 does noting, still show for 4 sec, if I then input 12 sec and it shows for 12 sec and after that I can lower the number again e.g. 6 sec. – but has to do it all over again next time I play?

Uploaded a version that fixes the filtering by breeds that broke with 2.0, fixed the old bug with the second SV breed not filtering, and added the 2 beastmen boys as filterable.

Actually I got the version before the SV fix sanctioned, so it's still always showing the SV commander breed.

I noticed it takes longer for the kill feed to appear with this mod compared to the default. It takes like a second and half longer. Is there a reason for that?

I have a suggestion, if it would be possible to implement. Would it be possible to toggle some notofications off? Let's say, the ability to toggle off SV from the kill feed, but leave the rest on?

Ta for this - it's much nicer than vanilla behaviour.

I do have a suggestion that would help us less battle-hardened players: replacing the killfeed icons with text. I have a hard time determining what was killed because to me the tiny icons look very very similar; especially at a glance mid-combat. It would also take up less vertical screen space, so you could have the maximum population be higher (say 5 latest rather than... 3?).

I'm envisaging "Bardin killed Blightstormer", "Kerillian rescued Kruber" etc, though the middle 'action' icons - if scaled down - could still work.

Would love to see an added function to customise the counter text aka "X2, X3, X4 ect..." to change its color & size for better visibility. Personally it would make it easier to notice the counter and multiplier at the corner of one's eye rather than having to focus and look at it during a fight.

In fact, what would be really cool is for text to change color/hue the higher the counter goes... say green, orange, red ect... X2, X3, X4+
