Coming soon: coding so the the AI will choose different Native Policies based upon their religions as well as their countries historical preference.
@may 9th best day of my life
Cossacks enables Native policies; without this mod would do nothing.
myes you need cossacks
@madiunicorn
I re-coded the lua files from scratch, see if that fixes the problem.

Good I make sure to tell anyone else.
If you disable all mods (including Native Policies Guide Colonial Subjects as well) then it's a problem with the base files; if just Native Policies Guide Colonial Subjects is enabled, and it crashes, then it may be a missing DLC conflict. Just to be clear, this mod was developed upon a copy of EU4 with all the gameplay "Expansions" installed on the base game, so if you are missing any of them (aside from cosmetic DLC, of course) that may be the conflict.
@Pablo esgrossebar
I have no idea, the only thing I can think of is some kind of mod conflict. Just for the sake of testing could you try enabling just "Native Policies Guide Colonial Subjects" alone with all other mods disabled? If the game starts with no Crash then we know it's a mod conflict; also make sure not to boot to a savegame through the eu4 launcher. If it is still crashing then it must be some conflict with the base files that are somehow different than the one's I'm using.
Any time you want to directly download a Steam mod, or the mod is not auto-downloading, use this:

Clear out your mods list, load the game then try again, it should pop-up
@All
I'm having no crashing issues if it helps.
Then I have no ideas. This mod doesn't overwrite any of the game files, so I don't know why it would cause said crash.
The Cossacks
In the vanilla game, however, Native Trading Policy is probably the better one in the long run (and the one most veteran players choose). As even with -50% native uprising the natives rarely revolt, and the Native Assimilation buff means that's all your colonies produce more trade goods, that is to say they funnel more money to your home node, as the main benefit of colonies is the Trade value they produce.
My aim was to make the choice between policies more dynamic, and produce different results within the colonies you create.
Mayhaps. Paradox has said the AI can't handle native revolts; this mod will just mean you'll see a lot more native cultures survive until the end of the game.
