TQuinTV, I literally explained it in the comment below yours.
TQuinTV 10 mei 2023 om 11:12
Why not just update this one?
Emberlight  [auteur] 15 mrt 2023 om 20:29
Gamma, Lament 3.x is newer and has a ton more features, but will wipe out anything you have on your server from this version, because it's such a major overhaul.
Gammaflux 15 mrt 2023 om 6:09
What's the difference between the two mods Lament and this one ?
TQuinTV 12 feb 2023 om 20:54
Anybody else notice the items stick with the tombstone even when you summon body using sorcery?
TQuinTV 29 jan 2023 om 17:34
I think you're right about the body decay timer. I came back a few hours later and they were finally gone.
TQuinTV 29 jan 2023 om 14:23
I've noticed my headstones seem to never despawn. It also doesn't drop any items in the hotbar.
Prewed 28 jan 2023 om 11:15
Hi!
is it possible to keep all Sigils from vaults (Isle of Siptah DLC) after death with this mod? it is so boring to farm 4-5 vaults after every death!
Dr. Nash  [auteur] 24 jan 2023 om 4:15
John, you probably can't. It has the same behavior as a regular Corpse, so it will stay in the world for as long as a normal corpse/headstone does. I've tried various things to get it to despawn, to no avail.
johndraugr 22 jan 2023 om 14:13
When you loot a headstone, should the headstone not disappear? I was testing the mod, died then looted the tombstone, yet even though it is empty, the stone remains. How can I get it to disappear after being looted?
Crypto 5 nov 2022 om 11:30
I am getting errors from my dedicated server (brand new) when trying to load this mod.
igotsmeakabob11 9 okt 2022 om 12:56
How long do the gravestones stick around? I've been looking for a way to still have items drop on death, but not have player corpses despawn after 30mins leading to players losing everything!
Dr. Nash  [auteur] 15 sep 2022 om 21:38
An update is on the way to hopefully fix the corrupted issue.
Jeri 14 sep 2022 om 1:23
I have the same issue here. This is not the only mod doing this. I got the database corrupted so I had to upload an older game.db.
Ztrahd 14 sep 2022 om 0:53
@Dr. Nash, since the 9/13 update this mod has been prompting a corrupted mod error that prevents servers from starting up and prevents the game client from being launched unless click to "play without mods" for me.
Xevyr 1 sep 2022 om 14:05
@Dr. Nash "You may remember Lament as that mod you tried for half a day and then uninstalled because your players threatened to make you walk the plank if you didn't."
Just wanna point out that I like this mod, been using it for quite a while :D :D and despite it annoying me once or twice when it bugged out and refused to store my full 200 inventory worth of farming in the headstone, I'm keeping it and nobody's making me walk the plank :D Cheers!
Dr. Nash  [auteur] 22 jul 2022 om 20:31
Steel, as far as I know. Let me know in the discord if you run into any problems.
Sidereal 22 jul 2022 om 19:09
Does this mod still function with the game?
Jeri 21 jul 2022 om 6:36
"NOTE: This setting is mutually exclusive with the base game's Drop Inventory on Death server setting. If that setting is enabled, Lament will not drop any items from player backpacks and will instead defer to the DOD mechanic"

I think it is not working. It is not dropping on death despite the game's drop on death not being active.
trovo.live/Iluster 26 mei 2022 om 3:19
@Dr. Nash, i realized when i put the slider to 10.000 that the limit for the effective range is not the 10.000, the limit is the drawing distance from the Lamenting Stone... so ignore what i wrote :)
trovo.live/Iluster 21 mei 2022 om 5:46
sry for the double post, but I have another suggestion, the aura radius slider range could be between 100 and 100,000.
trovo.live/Iluster 21 mei 2022 om 4:16
@Dr. Nash, In my opinion, the aura radius is much too low, 10,000 is only 100 in all directions, my suggestion would be to increase this to 100,000 and so that the number is not so huge, perhaps divide it internally by 100, 100,000 would then be displayed in the menu as 1,000.
Braniya 18 mrt 2022 om 10:13
Sorry, lol. Thought it was, it had Lament as its description. Please ignore. :divemask:
Dr. Nash  [auteur] 15 mrt 2022 om 20:51
BranTuna, that's not an item from Lament.
Braniya 15 mrt 2022 om 9:19
@Dr. Nash - I think there is a conflict with EEWA... There's an Item called Guard's ??? from Lament that replaces an item from EEWA. I'm not sure which one it is, but I think it might be something important that the scrim collector sells...
Misha 24 okt 2021 om 22:40
Thank you for the response :3 Looking forward to see what you do!
Dr. Nash  [auteur] 24 okt 2021 om 22:05
Micha, Lament as a whole is going to be folded into another mod we're working on, and I'll keep that in mind. Stay tuned.
Misha 24 okt 2021 om 19:36
Is there any way to make the "Owner: [player name]" thing not show up when people look at a lamenting stone, but also at the same time prevent other players from dismantling or destroying it?
I think it would be really cool and immersive if the lamenting stones just seem like parts of the map.
Dr. Nash  [auteur] 4 jul 2021 om 20:48
Trillium, I looked into that (rezzing at Lament stones) a while back and it would have been a massive undertaking. I was getting some help from another modder to get it working, then some base game updates happened that scrambled those plans, and I haven't gotten back to it. Still possible down the road, tho.
⎝Trillium Starbreeze⎠ 4 jul 2021 om 6:42
Seconding level loss suggestion.
Also a nice option would be to make it possible to resurrect at the nearest Lament stone, if that's doable - possibly with option of making it the ONLY way to resurrect.
DredgenMary 27 mei 2021 om 4:56
You should add level loss penalty.
I have the paragon mod for 300 levels. It would make death and leveling super interesting with this.
Jeri 16 jan 2021 om 0:49
okay :)
Chelyns 15 jan 2021 om 23:33
Sorry, I haven't give you a feedback, It's working fine after 8 Jan update.
I post the problem before this mod was updated.
Jeri 15 jan 2021 om 22:12
@Chelyns it might eventually have something to do with this: Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION writing address 0x00000000. This is usually related to a memory error caused by a software or maybe services.

The mod works fine for me, so far.

Try a clean boot to find out:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/getting-error-exception-eaccessviolation-in-module/a51e4bbb-f25d-448a-a4c8-ae9df8f00232

You may also try uninstalling BattlEye to check differences in system behaviour, have the mod installed if you remove BattlEye to test. BattlEye scans the entire memory.
Emberlight  [auteur] 15 jan 2021 om 18:16
Nobody else has reported crashes with Lament, so at this point we have to assume it's fine. :)
Jeri 15 jan 2021 om 15:44
Referring to Chelyns' post below. Mod was updated same date she/he posted naming an issue.

"Update: 8 Jan @ 3:19pm
- Updated for base game version 2.2"
Emberlight  [auteur] 15 jan 2021 om 14:44
Jeri, huh?
Jeri 8 jan 2021 om 7:45
It was updated today. Did not work?
Chelyns 8 jan 2021 om 1:43
Server shutting down after playing for about 5 minutes. Here's error log https://pastebin.com/tzCXsTZP taking this mod down from the modlist, server run normally.
e 15 dec 2020 om 7:45
Side note, would be cool to have a traditional-looking tombstone or other model options; I find that new players to my server rarely notice the current marker when they return to their bodies.
e 14 dec 2020 om 23:37
I believe it's the only time I've ever had it happen, although I only recently came back to the game after the most recent major updates. I did make a point of testing Lament and it worked. Fortunately I was able to revert to a server save; I'll get back to you if I ever have it happen again.
Dr. Nash  [auteur] 14 dec 2020 om 21:58
That's the first time I've heard of anything like that Elvis. Is this something that just happened once, or can you repeat it?
e 14 dec 2020 om 20:45
Just had an incident tonight where I died and went to touch the tombstone only to have it despawn completely when I interacted with it, losing everything in it. Any ideas of what might have caused this?
Sentient0ne 12 nov 2020 om 3:59
I'm confused about this comment in the description "who may not be fans of corpse runs.". Does that mean you don't spawn away from where you died on a bedroll or bed?
Emberlight  [auteur] 21 sep 2020 om 14:48
Whoops. I actually thought that was covered in the description. I've added it to the Drop Backpack section.
Emily Laine 18 sep 2020 om 21:11
Judging by some previous comments, the base game inventory drop mechanic should be turned -off- for this mod to properly function, yes? I would recommend adding that to the description because I don't think I read that anywhere above (a good place to put it would be as the first bullet under "Getting Started"). I love the sound of this and will be playing around with it before offering it up as a suggestion for the server I play on. =]
Dr. Nash  [auteur] 17 sep 2020 om 1:11
@Speculiar, Aw. <3
Speculiar 16 sep 2020 om 22:20
I think I am in love with this mod.
Dr. Nash  [auteur] 14 jun 2020 om 20:15
@Steel, interesting. Turning on DOD should nix the backpack drop, but not the corruption gain. I'll check it out.
Sidereal 14 jun 2020 om 10:17
Is there a chance for a sub-setting to drop everything? I really like the corruption gain, but nothing else seems to work if DoD is on.
