Nevermind, I think it was a glitch from me having too many races maybe, because it seems that it was this one and two others causing the duplicates, which doesn't make sense cause they all seem well made.
777carelessguy 4 apr, 2019 @ 14:23
I think this mod may be making duplicate armor and clothing recipes in the crafting menus. Don't count on that though because there's one more mod I need to unsub from for a moment to see if that's it, since I have subbed to like 3 since I last needed to make armor.

Soron Thanks

@777carelessguy

Yes.

Hey, is the file name for the race "Virorb"? I want to see how these would work as npcs ( most non vanilla races don't work too well, but they still look cool so there's that reason to spawn them )
Sorencer  [skapare] 11 mar, 2019 @ 11:49
@brats817

You are free to do anything you wish with anything in this mod if you find any use for it.
Sadly my interest in Starbound has greatly faded so i don't currently have the passion to help you further with it.

Elemental contact damage + debuff sounds like a good idea, i suspect trying to get them to work as originally intended may be extremely hard.

make the orb things roll:bbtcat:
LegoKirbyMan 13 aug, 2018 @ 4:47
From the unreleased monsters to full on playable race? Strange...
claude27a 8 jul, 2018 @ 8:53
smaller hitbox?
*Yuki* 12 jun, 2018 @ 9:19
somebody should make IE clothing for them, lmao
Sorencer  [skapare] 11 jun, 2018 @ 10:24
Maybe i could add them as npcs that can randomly appear, dunno how to but it is certainly more doable than monster, although i'd have no idea how to test it.

Maybe but i don't promise anything, The most i'm probably gonna try is to make them appear in the outpost.
warmainiac 11 jun, 2018 @ 10:20
mostly npc but monster could work
Sorencer  [skapare] 11 jun, 2018 @ 10:11
@warmainiac

Do you mean a mod that adds ŧħem as monster or a mod that adds Virorbs NPC villages?
warmainiac 11 jun, 2018 @ 10:09
ok, can you make a seperate mod that does that because i want to see that
Sorencer  [skapare] 11 jun, 2018 @ 10:06
@warmainiac no
warmainiac 11 jun, 2018 @ 9:22
so do they randomly spawn like the forums page says?
claude27a 10 jun, 2018 @ 8:56
omg it's awesome
Sorencer  [skapare] 9 jun, 2018 @ 17:03
@Insomnia Suffering Teen

Well maybe someone who can code monsters will be inspired and do it X)

One of my goals with this mod was to get it to be remembered, i still can't believe how much it was enterely forgotten, there was a time where it was a magical icon of starbound and now i can't even see any recent mentions of it...

Dunno how or why the devs completely forgot about it and ignored their own announcement that they'd include it alongside the Poptops, Mindwurms and Bad Moon.
Bitz 9 jun, 2018 @ 16:55
yeah, but it's not the same thing, ya'know?
no head schlorping.
;-;
Sorencer  [skapare] 9 jun, 2018 @ 16:52
@Insomnia Suffering Teen

Then spawn them as an hostile npc type using the console or an npc spawner mod.
Bitz 9 jun, 2018 @ 16:46
what if i don't WANT to play the virorbs, and want them as an enemy??
RenTide4 9 jun, 2018 @ 14:37
from what i read, kinda reminds me of the Metroid.

Egress 9 jun, 2018 @ 10:59
@laeyan i like the doctor who reference! :D
LazySpaceRaptor 8 jun, 2018 @ 21:51
Looks inspired by a certain pokemon...
deerbrain 7 jun, 2018 @ 15:52

Oh, look! The round things! I do love the round things. What ARE the round things?
Athens 6 jun, 2018 @ 15:57
@Soron sorry for asking
Sorencer  [skapare] 6 jun, 2018 @ 15:34
@[Glow]A Red panda

To do that i'd need to

1-be able to code a monster
2-be able to code a new monster behavior as i believe there is no metroid-like monster in the game.
3-be able to animate sprites whitout it looking like shit.

Sadly all 3 are out of my reach.
Athens 6 jun, 2018 @ 15:14
asap would you make a mod where there's ACTUAL virorb's as mob's (im guessing it will only work if you don't have this mod =w=)?
Jeggy 6 jun, 2018 @ 12:37
playable virorbs before poptops is a heresy
Sorencer  [skapare] 5 jun, 2018 @ 9:04
@zachery

XD agree, i would have probably gone to make a playable Mindwurm Mother mod if i could animate X)
Sinnroy 5 jun, 2018 @ 8:34
this is like what the mindwurms are, Not added yet, AND YET THERE SO CUTE
BeanSlinger419 5 jun, 2018 @ 5:34
I would guess why the Trippy Virorb has mushrooms on it but just from that name you know why theres mushrooms on it (A small tip is that Those are Magic mushrooms)
pointbeing 4 jun, 2018 @ 17:43
Alright, sounds fine then. Thanks for getting back to me on that.
(I hope I didn't seem like I was policing your content or anything XD, I was just interested for my own purposes.)
Sorencer  [skapare] 4 jun, 2018 @ 15:38
@JCUnown

I didn't, since i doubted it was necessary, the creator never showed any form of protectionism and pretty much gave his idea for the devs to implement, and they announced that they'd be in, so i don't see any problem in doing a mod of something that should be in the game anyway.

Just don't claim them to be yours and it should be fine, you can go and ask him yourself if it bothers you.
pointbeing 4 jun, 2018 @ 14:34
Just curious... did you get/need permission to make this? I'd perhaps be interested in making something Virorb-related but I don't know the policies of the original creator of the Virorb regarding their content.
[MILA] INSAne_DrUNkard 3 jun, 2018 @ 9:13
From the first link, I see they behave like Metroids.
