I was expecting getting stuck in here for 40 minutes, but realizing the solution like 3 mminutes in was satisfying

Good simple test.
I completed it by throwing the cube up onto the starting area and then retrieving it via the light bridge from the button. Pretty sure that wasnt intended but I feel like this test can have quite a few possible solutions!
7/10

I wonder, what's the intended solution, because I'm not happy with what first came to my mind:
I just put the cube extremely close to the fizzler, sit on on the button and grabbed the cube while sitting on the button, moving it on the other side of the fizzler...
That feels like a "bug" in the design.

Blindrun
Had absolutely no clue whether I did it right this first time, but after playing the hammerized version which disables auto-respawn this solution obviously did not work. Was somewhat embarrassed to find that the core “trick” was one that I had used in a few prior maps of yours; this chamber basically teaches the mechanic to newcomers, yet I had to go and find this… rather interesting way of doing it first :P

I did go back after this recording and tried to find if there was a less cheesy solution, and I took a sneak peek at the comments without reading anything that hinted at the intended solution. I only did so for a minute or two because I could only think of the incredibly cheese moves suggested by some in the comments, and didn’t want to spend too much time on this puzzle having already solved it - I cared more about finishing the rest of the maps in your workshop.

I absolutely love chambers like this though. It’s small, it seems extremely simple, but you then realize the solution is not at all obvious whatsoever.

Difficulty: 3/10
Enjoyed: 7.75/10

Took me way longer to realise the solution to this one than it should have, it was just so simple. Good puzzle!
Muzozavr 27 FEB 2024 a las 13:09
Was the intended solution really to lift the cube up to the ledge while you're standing down below ? Took me longer than it should because I don't normally think about strats like this, ahaha, it usually feels like cheese.

No, the button's too close to the field
derPacifist 8 NOV 2023 a las 6:28
I overcomplicated this to infinity!
PDX 3 OCT 2023 a las 15:16
Always a banger when the solution is more complicated than the layout!
Mattchew 23 ENE 2023 a las 12:26
goes from deceptively tricky to decpetivley simple, I like this one
geordiebroon58 16 ENE 2023 a las 15:21
i over complicated this puzzle so hard lmfao

Also cheesed it but there's an actual solution, whoops. I should put more trust into these puzzles.
The Lappin 18 JUN 2022 a las 12:28
Oh, I see ShinDog already found that solution 4 years ago...
The Lappin 18 JUN 2022 a las 12:14
I found an unintended solution that didn't involve moving the cube "through" the barrier while it is down . My solution was that I placed the cube on the edge next to the water (as close to 50% of the cube as possible above water, at a 45° angle). I then stepped onto the button and made the light bridge appear under the cube and walked on the bridge onto the upper bridge part. I then moved the light bridge (such that the bridge reaches towards the exit), which made the cube fall into the water (might be a bit of RNG involved there). I then caught the new cube as it fell (while standing on the light bridge) and put it next to a portalable wall so I could easily transport it to the button side through a portal. Then light bridge across and done. Hopefully I explained that adequately.

Took me a while to figure out, but the solution turned out to be a lot simpler than I initially thought. Nice level!

A bit challenging, quick and easy, fun! Here's my blind playthrough: https://youtu.be/IJCKVpL0GRU

if you are familiar with that technique, it;ll be quite easy.

Never been the biggest fan of cube lifting but I guess it works
Rector 22 JUL 2018 a las 9:42
Took me a while to see it. Nicely done!
gordo 27 JUN 2018 a las 11:15
Nice puzzle that took some serious thinking to see what is a simple solution. Thanks.
7GE4 10 JUN 2018 a las 9:43
Easy, but quite clever. Solved as intended.
joe98 10 JUN 2018 a las 3:35
This looked difficult but turned into an easy puzle thank you!
Snoitulover 9 JUN 2018 a las 15:02
I did it Ruu's way. Good map. I think the exploit fix is too easy to ignore.
Joric 9 JUN 2018 a las 7:39
@Ruu that was pretty much unexpected, congrats!
Ruu 9 JUN 2018 a las 4:32
What I did was Activating the button by myself, I placed a light bridge on the room with the button so that the bridge left me close to the entrance. I exited the room through the portal, crossed the acid pool through the bridge, got the cube and went back so I could place it on the entrance. Afterwards, you just have to go back to the room alone, press the button, put a portal inside the room and another one on the entrance and you can bring the cube inside with the button. That's it! .
Joric 9 JUN 2018 a las 2:52
@Gigopler so that's why it's called equivocation, I see now.
Gigo  [autor] 9 JUN 2018 a las 2:30
I felt as if the unintended solutions seem a tad obvious, so I didn't get around to fixing them. Besides, some of the unintended solutions are cool anyway, so I guess by some definition, yeah.
Joric 9 JUN 2018 a las 1:54
@Gigopler I assume it's a freeplay map because unintended solutions are the easiest ones.
Expat 8 JUN 2018 a las 22:18
Quite simple, once I stopped over-thinking it. Thanks for creating.
Joric 8 JUN 2018 a las 15:05
@Gigopler @RedSilencer am I doing it right https://youtu.be/otHYNCuHqTI
Joric 8 JUN 2018 a las 12:34
The cube snatching version is also pretty funny I just love the sound it makes https://youtu.be/cbHPGstbO2c
Joric 8 JUN 2018 a las 12:14
It doesn't belong to the collection. Current version took maybe 2 minutes to solve https://youtu.be/tpvcMAxIa7I
󰀉tempeh󰀉 6 JUN 2018 a las 16:03
Ah, so I wasn't supposed to learn how to angle a cube so placing a light bridge under it makes it roll the direction I want. Huh.

Well, I learned something new, anyway.
akross.cs 6 JUN 2018 a las 11:04
the hardest map ever played O_O i had to upgrade my mind and buy the newest laptop of 2009 available on market
RedSilencer 6 JUN 2018 a las 9:16
Neat, I could solve it from the picture. Don't even need to play it. ;) Thumbs up anyway, good job.

That's another interesting solution
ShinDog 5 JUN 2018 a las 8:35
Nice map, thanks. Here is another unintended solution .
ZAEROS 5 JUN 2018 a las 2:32
Good fun map, As bullfrog I saw two routes, Enjoyed, Thank you.

Nice and easy, thanks for sharing.
Malfaction 4 JUN 2018 a las 11:38
Nice easy map with simple solution. Thumbs up!
Gigo  [autor] 4 JUN 2018 a las 0:10
Thanks for the unintended solution, but it feels a bit obvious to me; idk whether to patch it or not.
bullfrog 3 JUN 2018 a las 23:27
...but I think my take 2 solution video might well be the intended solution ?
bullfrog 3 JUN 2018 a las 23:10
Hmm, I've got a feeling that my solution video shows unintended solution ?
