Is anyone else having an issue with the Harpoon randomat? I get a an error where the harpoon entity is null.

yeah got an error with the ULX menu i cant enable events or trigger them despite being the super admin i think its an issue with the randomat idk if this has happend before if so mind giving me a hand

@Evil There is a special TTT2 randomat, it has even more events than this one. You need the minigames base, the minigames packs and the minigames randomat addon

Hey! I run a pack that uses TTT2 and the custom roles to go with that. I am having issues with the 'BringBackOldJester' event, even though it is disabled in the randomat ULX menu. The error reads:

[TTT Randomat 2.0] lua/randomat2/events/oldjester.lua:37: attempt to index a nil value
1. Condition - lua/randomat2/events/oldjester.lua:37
2. TriggerRandomEvent - lua/randomat2/randomat_base.lua:120
3. unknown - gamemodes/terrortown/entities/weapons/weapon_ttt_randomat/shared.lua:78

If there is any solution to this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am having an issue where I cannot use the Randomat immediately, but after swapping slots and waiting a moment, I can use it then. Is there a fix to this?

Also, for using it with different role mods, you can disable the events that don't work, and add replacements that do.

The randomat is modular. If you want to add new events, you should be able to do so without creating a new randomat addon, you can simply make the new events and upload that as a separate addon.

@Dem Hey, is it OK if I include modified versions of a few of your randomats in my randomat mod to work with Custom Roles for TTT? Of course I'll give you credit. This isn't a mod that is an outright modification of your mod, merely one that adds on new events and needs some version of your mod to work, but there were a few randomats I've created based off some of yours.

Was it possible to at least remove bad trip because its broken each time it happens which breaks our round.

Hey, I love the mod but there is a strange bug with the Custom Roles for TTT addon. Sometimes the randomat tries to trigger the old jester event, even though I disabled it in the server.cfg. It makes the randomat unusable for the detective and gives the following error:

yeah, sorry I haven't updated the docs in a long time. Try ttt_randomat_ragdoll 0.

any way i can just diable it? i cant seem to find it on the docs, ive allready disabled a few of the ones on there for my group since we dislike some of them for our own reassons but trip seems to just be over all broken for us now even though it worked fine in the past

as a general rule, bad trip is a buggy and broken event. There is probably a way I could fix it, but it would take a lot of time and energy that I don't especialy have right now.

Thank you! I imagine this is more difficult, but figured I'd ask anyway: would it be possible to make the "infected" events compatible with the zombie role in TTT with custom roles? I'm using Noxx's version.

So, I've disabled the events related to the old jester and infected (as I'm playing TTT with custom roles, not town of terror), but sometimes the randomat still doesn't trigger and an error message appears in the console:

Hi! I have encountered an issue where if the detective buys the randomat it seems as if some events won't trigger because nothing happens if you click it, randomat stays equipped and won't activate the event. Maybe it is due to some of them need additional addons. Also some like BEES and Don't Blink don't work even though the event triggers and nothing happens.

but the only command that appears as i type in randomat into the console is "randomat_murder_knifedmg 200" - other than that there are no randomat commands working / appearing

Not sure if its something i missed but i cannot use any of the commands for the randomat? typing them in manually and using the ulx menu results with "unknown command: [command]" in the log.

Atm I don't have a lot of time to code gmod stuff as I'm dealing with uni. I do plan to make a big update sometime soon though with a few new events and ttt2 compatability. But that definitely is soon(tm) for now.

I am actually working on edits to some of the randomat events that automatically detects either ToT or TTT2 and uses the functions and features of those roles so that players that use TTT2 can use the randomat's role events. I might include other role mods, but I only have experience with TTT2 and ToT has already been dealt with in this mod.

you do need the mod currently. I am working on an update where you won't need it. The best solution if you don't want the new roles is either install the mod and disable all the roles from spawning, or if you're using something like ttt2, you can install the roles that are in both ttt2 and town of terror and just disable ones you don't want to use.

This is a stupid question but do I actually need the additional roles you have for it to work, because i just disabled the functions on the randomat that use them. Also I have verified I do not have the files for the old randomat or any role mods.

Have you made sure you have all the required addons? And make sure you don't have any conflicting addons. Things like more roles mods that aren't town of terror, or the old randomat.

Hey man idk if its just me on this, but occasionally I can use the same randomat 8 times or so, and when it does that people can no longer drop their weapons till the map cycles.
