Very strong, works well. Yes the unique Harbor is full cost, breaking the trend of unique districts, but frankly, it's such a powerful district as is that I'm not sure it should be half-cost. Also, I played this with Sukritact's Oceans and it worked just fine, no crashes. Thanks for the mod!

Love the concept of Malaysia bein a dominant suzerain trade route city , well done to the dev

The mod's harbor replacement doesn't give adjacency to commercial hubs??
Gray 16 Mar, 2022 @ 4:06pm
Sadly this doesn't work with Sukritact's Oceans, I don't know why, but whenever I try to play Malaysia with it enabled, the game crashes

@Ndragon - Did you subscribe to one of the leader mods linked above in the description?
lekiu 29 Jan, 2021 @ 7:00am
why does this civ doesn't appear in my lists of playable civ? I was sure that I had this mod subscribed. With gathering storm expansion

Been playing as Malaysia using this mod and it is AMAZING. Very interesting design and at times it can be quite OP when you focus on city-states. Thank so much for the work! Wish a voice would read over the intro when you start a game though haha
auroraborealis 24 Aug, 2020 @ 2:18am
hey can you make a malaysia civ version for vanilla? or make an entire new leader for the vanilla ones?
Macky527 7 Apr, 2020 @ 1:54am
is this compatible with the DLC
LAX 19 Nov, 2019 @ 3:17am
it is compatible with the Vanila version?
D_Neon 22 Sep, 2019 @ 2:11am
Not sure if this is deliberate, it seems counter intuitive if it is, but the Dermaga doesn't seem to be giving the harbour adjacency bonuses like most other harbour replacements do (specifically, bonuses to commercial hubs).

@Ulfric: Thanks for letting us know! The github was accidentally set to private. It should be fixed now :steamhappy:
Harvey Birdman 10 Jul, 2019 @ 6:03am
the github link to the previous versions arent working - could please fix the link?

@Noodlemaniac:
Several of our mods have been updated already. Armenia, Switzerland, Malaysia, Taino, and Normandy are all GS-compatible. As a general rule of thumb, the ones that have been updated are the ones whose leaders have been separated from the civs.
Noodlemaniac 2 Apr, 2019 @ 4:31pm
may i which of your mods will be first to be updated to GS?

Thanks guys :) hope you enjoy it!

This looks *awesome* and *gorgeous*. Thank you for the hard work!

This is a very cool design. I love how the Civ and leader work with City States. The Unique Harbour is also great. Well done.
Kosmos 29 Dec, 2018 @ 7:02am
Might also want to consider about Malacca having a unique ability where it gets an additional slots on either military, economy or the purple one because Malacca had its own laws created by its own leader (I can't remember which leader), which was called ''Hukum Kanun''.

The Unique Ability : Alam Melayu

This oen isn't bad either as it historically fit.
Kosmos 29 Dec, 2018 @ 6:59am
If this is Malacca empire, I'm suggesting that the unique ability will make Malacca to increase its loyalty when other civilization trade with it (including the trade with luxury resources) and also it will receive +2/+1 Gold for each luxury resources traded with. In the history, malacca has abundant of resources, other civilization came to malacca to trade with luxury resources. Malacca has been a chosen trade route in southeastasia and strait of Malacca. Malacca prosper because of its luxury resources as well as good harbour. I would suggest a unique frigate since Malacca is specialized in building ships. They also very good in protecting the strait of Malacca. For unique building, I would suggest a unique harbour district that will increase healing of ships since Malacca also specialized in repairing ships, historically proven.

Re: the idea of boosting population when a great person is _expended_ instead of obtained, maybe it could be the first time you activate a given great person? Assuming that is possible at all <<;;
chimp  [author] 5 Jul, 2018 @ 2:02am
@Warai23 Thank you :)

@circeus you know what, the same thing has started happening with Anacaona of Taino recently and now I'm suspicious that the requirements behind the "City-State Protector" agenda are getting triggered incorrectly because that part of his (and Anacaona's) agenda references those requirements directly (agendas aren't very flexible to code, so it's basically a copy of city-state protector using the 'REQUIRES_CONQUERING_ALLYING_MINORS' requirement). I'll have another look into this to see if I can figure out what is actually triggering it because it doesn't seem right to me either. Thank you for the heads up!
circeus 4 Jul, 2018 @ 7:18pm
Is there something wrong with Tun Perak's agenda? It says he's enraged that I "attacked a city-state under his protection", but I have most definitely not attacked anyone at all, much less a city-state he's suzerain of (since at this stage he is not suzerain of anything that I know of to begin with).
Warai23 21 Jun, 2018 @ 8:25am
this is a great addition. Wanna ally with malaysia when i'm playing as indonesia :D
circeus 20 Jun, 2018 @ 10:26pm
@ChimpanG Oh, right. I forgot that it would increase pop on GP with multiple activations (which probably accounts, now that I think of it, for the Lavra boosting only bt 1 tile...)
chimp  [author] 20 Jun, 2018 @ 5:33am
Hey @circeus, thanks for the feedback. It was actually a toss-up between the two because on the flipside, it would mean Artists, Writers and Musicians would create Pop each time they are used. The event we're using is "UnitGreatPersonCreated" and the alternative would be "GreatPersonActivated" - I'm not sure there is actually an event for 'expending' a GP but I'll dig around to see what I can find. I ended up going for the pop on born because I figured it'd encourage more of a 'tall' playstyle, but I totally get what you're saying. I'll have a poke around and see if there's a happy medium between the two for a better balance

@susanpollack it has support for YNAMP but I must admit, I've no idea where the files are for the Firaxis TSL maps. I'll have another look though to see if I can find them in the DB, and I'll add support for those maps if I come across them.
circeus 19 Jun, 2018 @ 10:40pm
Would you consider having the population boost occur upon expanding the great person? Since 90% of your GP will spawn in the capital, it causes it to grow out of all proportions (especially since an early Great Theologian has a 50% boost to Great Prophet points). Having the option to spread the population as well as the territory gain would be great (hell, I'd take the ability to spread population even without any territory gain: this is plain over-the-top better than the Lavra's ability!)
zoezoe 18 Jun, 2018 @ 2:41pm
Getting it to work with TSL?
chimp  [author] 18 Jun, 2018 @ 9:06am
@circeus I must admit I've not looked into it much myself, but as my good friend Deliverator and the always wonderful Sukritact have proven, it's to never undestimate what modders will accomplish. Those guys are the best in my opinion, and have consistently pushed the community forward in exploring what's possible, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see more modders overcoming any obstacles that might present themself. I'm optimistic :)
circeus 18 Jun, 2018 @ 8:38am
@chimpang Thanks for a quick answer! And people are really doing that? Sounds great, though I'm wondering how, since I read somewhere adding entirely new great people types is not possible (I'm guessing repurposing/renaming an existing type is possible, but that seems a lot of efforts, even though I myself could live without great admirals.)
chimp  [author] 18 Jun, 2018 @ 6:01am
Haha hey thanks @Arschioch, you are most welcome!

@GermanGamer7 :soshockedhefell: I may have to save an ancient aliens mod for April Fools lol

Lol!

Started a new game. Saw that Malaysia was my neighbour, nice! Worked together to contain barbarian threat, nice one Iskandar. Move some of my troops to settle a new city. Sees some of Iskandar's men on the border - they're just there to help with the barbs, right? Nope. 5 turns later get rekt by a surprise war and despite my efforts, my capital falls.

10/10 would get demolished by Iskandar before turn 30 again.

Thanks Civitas! Really grateful for the attention and work you all have put into representing less well known nations and civs. Was so surprised to see my own homecountry on here! I'm loving it so far :steamhappy:

There is a funny idea I have.
If you haven't heard of the Mysterious Cities of Gold and the Olmecs, then go watch the show.
So, here we go.
Please make this a mod.
Please.
I will get it.
Civ: The Olmecs (COG)
Capital: City of Gold
Special unit: GOLDEN CONDOR
Early air unit. 100 HP, unlocked with Mining. Requires owning a Rainforest tile to create.
Damage to all units is base 30. Ignores all movement penalties. Can go 3 tiles per turn. Cost is 300 production points.
Leader: Master Menotar
Ancient Aliens: All units get +2 attack damage.
New building: CRYONIC FREEZING CELL. Can be built since the start. Production cost: 400 Production points. If an Olmec unit moves onto a tile with this building, it immediately gains all its HP back if damaged.
So there you go
And the icon is Kalmec's face
Please please make it

@circeus when playing with City-States Expanded, the GP type is randomised for Consular, Agricultural and Entertainment but I know modders in the community are working on introducing new types of great people like Diplomats and Entertainers etc so I'll write in mod support for those when they come about. Maritime CS gets Admirals of course. For Cultural City-States, the GP is also randomised but only between artists, writers and musicians.
circeus 15 Jun, 2018 @ 10:48am
What type of GP point do Consular and Agricultural CS grant?
