Holy shit, I did it. I created my first custom yellow decals and they look fucking amazing. Thank you for the advice.

It's actually quite easy to do the yellow variants. Basically, I just import the originals into Adobe Photoshop, click Adjustments > Selective Color and adjust the Red colors until they're yellow. Then I apply the same settings to every decal, so they're consistent. You can use that tool to make them any color you want, it's pretty cool.

Hi CrunchySoap, I have a question regarding the making of blood decals for Gmod. What are your techniques for creating the yellow variants of the red blood decals? Lately, I've been trying my hand at doing this by editing a different set of decals on Paint 3D for personal use, but it's exhausting to use the Fill tool for every red spot to replace its color with yellow.

Perhaps there is a faster way of doing this?

No. Decal Replacements can only be installed one at a time, otherwise they will conflict. This goes for any blood decal replacement addon.

does this work with your other 2022 blood overhaul?

@Bajur Yeah, you're right. These wound decals are pretty crappy. I'll write a sticky note and update the addon some time this week. I'll probably reduce the decal sizes too, they're a bit oversized.

Hey man, this is a great mod but there's a bit of a problem with the wound decals that another user mentioned here a couple of years ago
"The Bloodstains are awesome, but the bullet wounds don't work very well. They split up into multiple jagged textures on any mildly uneven surface, such as a labcoat or combine soldier."
I have the exact same problem mentioned here, i think the bullet wounds that Phaeton uses on his L4D2 upload of these decals are much better , and i think replacing them would be awesome.

Ah yes, I know the mod(s) you are speaking of. Unfortunately, I don't have any solutions besides what you've already done. Especially since you said you reinstalled the entire game. I suggest contacting the creator of the mod causing the problem, not me.

So, that bothered me as well. A lot. Luckily, there is a an addon on the Workshop the re-enables the HL2 Save System. Which WILL keep decals, proper ragdolls, won't break doors, etc. Much better than the GMod Save System. Look it up!

so if you want to make a save with blood decals DON'T ITS BROKE

im sorry to say this but ever since Gmod existed there has been a bug where once you go into a save that has decals which are not part of the map the decal is on it disappear I asked if the devs could fix this but they didn't they only updated shit that's uneccesary such as the addon thing
