perhaps you could incorporate the glow effect into your model. For example, you could position the snake's open mouth right where the effect is so that it looks like the snake is holding the light in its mouth.

What exactly you guys dont like at the cobra face, it was actually pn purpose that it looks so simple. Thanks for the feedback :)
