Has it been confirmed now then that this mod doesn't work well with ember upgrade?

Thanks. I found a workaround.
Thrasher's belt for tons of money. Then a "boon" scroll. He has had several Nether DNA and black lotuses. I've even been able to synthesize a book of nether biology.
OH, about him - I used it just once and quit the game before he vanished. I always called him when trying to update my armor and I do that just when I'm about to logoff. I managed to use Boon's scroll 6 times or more without it vanishing. Apparently the counter resets if you quit the game before he vanishes. It only vanished when I called him three times in one level.

the outcome of rare weapons is AN outcome though, so that suggests that the recipe in fact works, probably just not as originally intended. did it say it would result in legendary items though? that seems a bit OP to me

from the top of my head the mod highest in the loading order will overrule the others, interference from ember gem upgrade is a possibility though because it also has to do with the crafting sytem, I'm sorry I can't be of more help...

I tried with another combination of chromosomes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, X, Y, Z - both times using ember granulate - and got two 'rare weapons'. Not even unique, just rare.
I have Thrasher's armory, below it is "Torchlight II Essentials" and below that is "Ember Gem Upgrade". could one of these be interfering? I tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling. No difference. Could this be an actual glitch?

And I lost Chromosomes 1 through 4, but it didn't take 5,6,7 or 8 or the ember granulate.
Weird. Any ideas? Would knowing what each chromosome did, help? This time I took notes.

I've already gotten to the minehead again and am ready to try the Nether DNA Code again. I finally got one copy of all eight chromosomes. 1 each of 1,2,3 and 7, 2 each of 5 and 8, and 3 each of 4 and 6. Here we go. Will update you.

I will even be trying the lotus petals but so far I have
11 copies of 10% ice damage
8 of 35% ice damage
8 of 10% poison damage
7 of 35% fire damage
6 of 10% fire damage
4 of 35% spark damage
4 of 35% poison damage
and
0 of 10% spark damage

With the way things are running, I assume it might be a while before I find any of that rare 10% electrical damage. But there's no winning without effort.

True. It's just that after trying so hard for a simple item, I had ten copies of one chromosome, eight of another six of another, etc but none of chromosome 4. Two more attempts and I got two of 8 in one stop. I just needed to calm down, play something new for a few days, unwind. I've already started a new character in Torchlight 2.

very hard for me to recollect because it has been so long, like you said. n=10 however has nothing to do with the number of chromosomes available in the mod though, it's just an indication of the nether genome. which has no relevance to you as a player. if I remember correctly, using 8 different chromosomes and an ember granulate will yield the result. the same should apply for lotus petals, 1 of each type totalling 8 + an ember granulate. if that doesn't work I'm afraid it HAS been too long and I won't be able to help you

OK. I spent ten hours going from enclave to camp to minehead collecting lotus petals and DNA. Finally got eight of one group each - 35% poison damage lotus and Chromosome 9. Used eight of each with an ember granulate - and lost four of each.
There are 9 spots in the transmuter's window, so I understand that you might need one of each of the eight lotus petals. One from 10% poison, one from 35% poison, 10% fire, 35% fire, etc - but there are only eight different types of lotus petals.
How would that work with Chromosomes? There are 12 in the set but only 9 spaces in the transmuters window. Oh, and the description on each Chromosome lists "Nether Chromosome set n=10". There are chromosomes 1-9 then X, Y and Z make 12.
I tried eight copies of chromosome 9 and lost four of them. Do I need to use eight different chromosomes with no duplicates?
I know it's been years since you wrote this, but if you could help...

yes, ember granulate that is the one! I'm at a loss, it has been to long. I think you have proven that it needs to be 9 similar items

Well, I tried eight lotus petals like the recips stated "Any eight lotus petals" and one ember granulate... and lost four lotus petals. I had five '10% poison damage' and 3 '35 poison damage points', and the ember granulate. The bottom four petals disappeared and a skull appeared in my inventory...
I'm at a loss. any ideas?

Thanks. I tried nine chromosomes but the game froze the instant I clicked on the ninth - even before I got it out of the inventory box. Three times I tried, three times it froze. My entire computer froze the last time. I had to 'one finger salute' it to restart. So I assume the ember granulate is the ninth item. lol.

no, any combination of any nether chromosomes or lotus petals, at least that is what I think I remember, it has been a long time since I made the mod, for any of my recipes to work you need an extra ingredient available at vendors though, this is to make sure you don't get any vanilla results from them

But I have a question or two.
I assume then it says "any nether chromosome X 8" that it means just that. Eight copies of, say, chromosome 3.
And the same for Lotus petals - say, eight copies of "10% to poison damage".
Any combination would just register as part of the recipe for a random socketable, Am I right?

that depends on what's in the collection, if you collection don't alter items or recipes you can safely place it under. if they do, place it over

Well, the main thing is that it isn't showing the ingreidents. I also unpacked the mod and it looks like the "Mycon_blender.dat" file is empty.

I'm currently working on a new version of this mod because unfortunately I can't edit it properly anymore, the new version will include fixes as well as new content, what is wrong with the recipe?

Well I love diablo and been playing since the first one, just hope this does not bind or anything or wipe your stash for adding then removing to try it out. I know I can backup, just sucks to have to do that everytime.

Does this work with Synergies MOD + Arkham's & Reapers MOD??? The three mentioned work very well together, but was wondering does your's work as well with them? Need to know definitely because I have 10 max level characters I need to worry about. ....and yes I know to backup files, but want to know before I try...otherwise not worth it.

that is probably caused by a mod conflict, put my mod above others in the loading order and it will probably be fixed

Hi. My problem is probably just me not knowing what I'm doing, but how do I get 4+ items in the transmuter? I only have 4 slots open and can't figure how to get more slots open.

Okay : so i've make a new hero without any mod other than SYNERGIE and when i try to transmute 3 black Lotus and 1 amber granulate the icon at the transmuter isn't blue...it's a problem if my black lotus are all the same ? 3% all elemental damage (required level 35) i have to upgrade them before ? because i see no issue and when i put more than 3 black lotus i makes a random legendary with 4 or them -__-

you can loot it, or create it using 3x black lotus and 1x ember granulate

Hey anybody's here ? I have a little question ? (but before sorry for my english, i don't speak it clearly) : i don't know how i make THE LOTUS AMBER, because i have some mod and i dont' see it at the crafter, and i've never loot it ! So i ask around if i have to create it or loot it ?

From what I've seen, no mods I use conflict with yours. The only conflict was between the pet and fishing overhaul (exact name eludes me atm) and BigBagMod. Decided to get rid of the overhaul since I'd much rather have more space than some new fish (which I'll probably never use anyway). Well, there was one more conflict but The Endless Dungeon and Synergies only conflict in multiplayer for some unknown reason; but I mainly play singleplayer anyway.
