Your explanation makes so much sense as to why i've never seen a musketeer in-game... the only way I ever got one was using a "Full Roster," mod and it was the only one that ever appeared.
I'll just go ahead and make sure generation: .is_generation_enabled true is added to your mod or theres. Thank you for the reply!

In the case of the HED mod at least (though, I'm pretty sure it's the same for other similar mods), I believe it's because the author removed this line: generation: .is_generation_enabled true from the musketeer.override.darkest file which is what allows the Musketeer to appear. Besides that, I suppose I could also add the line to this mod's info file which should help as well, however, if I remember correctly, I removed it as a precaution against, admittedly, a rather fringe case when someone attempts to use this mod without the Musketeer DLC being enabled.

I've read that some of the Hard Earn Districts / District Expansion mods can cause her to not appear? The person said downloading a Musketeer mod might fix it though, which is how I found my way here. I was like 50+ weeks in my last game and no Musketeer.

Not sure how to help you guys. I did some quick testing on a fresh save with only this mod active - got my first musketeer on week 7. Perhaps, there *is* some sort of conflict, but I can't tell. Btw, I did this on the new 64-bit version, so that is also out of the question (haven't tried legacy, though).

hey man, after i sub to this mod i never find any musketeer in stagecoach nor her trinket in dungeons and shop. is it possible that there is conflicts with other mods that causes this issue?

She's got the normal spawn rate, so it's probably just your luck, I'd say. If you've got the deck based stage coach option enabled, she's bound to appear at some point. So, usually by week 50, you'd be guaranteed to see at least one, but if you've got a lot of class mods (and by lot I mean, like, at least around 50), there's a non-zero chance you won't see any. For example, with 50 modded classes and 4 stage coach slots unlocked, there's a ~2% chance to not see any musketeer by week 50; with 100 class mods the chance is around 14.4%.

is it a rare spawn or a specific event? im on week 50 and havent seen one yet. i have many class mods so thats likely the problem but i just thought to ask to be sure i wasnt missing something. thanks for the mod

Well, I see it more as a matter of convenience for the player than anything else and I myself would very much prefer to keep the mod a self-contained package if possible (musketeer dlc is an exception here), but to answer your question - yes, if I were to implement the changes, you'd need to put my mod above Trinkets Plus. And just to elaborate on what I said in my post - even in the current state the non-dlc trinkets are correctly updated if you put my mod above theirs, the dlc ones, however, stay vanilla (well, technically they're changed back to vanilla by Trinkets+, but I digress).

I mean, I would definitely be appreciated of having compatibility added between the two, but thats only if its a big enough reason for you to do the work. Since Im not the one who has to put forth the effort to make it happen. So if I wanted your changes for musketeer over trinket plus would I just put this mod above it in list?

Unfortunately, no. While the base game trinkets are fine, the dlc ones aren't. The main issue here is that their mod uses the Trinket Separator framework while mine doesn't. I guess the best course of action would be for me to subscribe to the framework as well, but frankly I don't really want to because I don't want this mod to be dependant on any other mod without a compelling reason. Then again this case might exactly be such a 'compelling reason'. So, in short, without making some adjustments the two mods will stay (slightly) incompatible. However, if you're really interested, I can add this to the list of things to do for the next update.

Hello, I was wondering how this mod would go with the Trinkets Plus mod. I checked and they both have the musketeer.entries.trinkets.json file that you mentioned. Would it be a matter of replacing Trinkets Plus file with this mod's file?

Most likely a mod conflict. I can't think of a mod that would turn the musketeer's trinkets back to their original state, well, unless it's the dlc trinkets. Try changing your load order, although this wouldn't actually 'solve' the issue. You may also want to isolate your problem by turning mods off one by one. Finally, you can search for instances of musketeer.entries.trinkets.json file inside DD's steam workshop folder: if there're more than one, then you've got a conflict.

Not without making a patch. I could make one, but I don't use the palette expansion mod, so I'm not really interested in making it. And I'm kind of busy with all my other mods, so this thing is pretty low on my todo list.

The mod is actually standalone, although I haven't thorougly tested it without activating the dlc, therefore I can't guarantee there won't be any issues. Regarding Courtyard Plus, I need to check its file structure to know for sure.

If I remembered correctly this mod has been changed drastically in terms of skill effects...Smoke bomb used to stun and shuffle back rank enemies, similar to way the plague doctor does...and the Marking Shot used to debuff protection instead of dodge...

So i'm having an issue with the stun move. Is goes white blank. Its very distracting for such a normally dark game lol. Other then that I love what this does for the musketeer!

I understand and thanks for your consideration. There was a patch that I tried a while ago but it was thoroughly outdated and funnily enough, even deleted one of her DLC trinkets lol, as well as removing the set bonus along with it for some reason. I don't mind waiting for your patch, if you don't mind working on it of course.

@Ren, yes, I'm aware of this problem. Unfortunately, due to how musketeer-related content was implemented into DLCs, I can't update this mod to make it compatible with Trinket Rebalance (basically, both mods overwrite the same files which causes this conflict). One'd have to make a separate patch to make two mods compatible. If you're interested I can make the patch, though it'll require some time.
