First this is an essential addition ! Recently pulled this to work out an error fortunately this was not the cause. This has been my most treasured mod it makes anyplace a stash there is no better way to stash anything anywhere. Earlier there was a bug that would send containers into places unknown but that seems to be fixed now , the second I hesitate to mention but every so often the container duplicates I've revisited stashes and found an empty container where I had been stashing many things. moving the mouse showed the full container still there so I pick up the empty and ad it to my next stash. Free container no work just a touch of concern at first. A naming feature would be nice but that's just a suggestion .

yes you has to doblet click them.
This is because an bug in Skyrim, same as make thing you place in shelfs more around next time you come back.

Just put them where you want them and give them a good old "Windows" Double click to open. If they are facing the wrong way just pick them up and watch the orientation when you put them down again. If you are moving them around dont foget to "crouch" to stop when you get it where you want it. Most awesome home organization mod EVER...8)

I have the same problem; a click just picks up the sachel. That's true inside Breezehome (unmodified) as well as in the open. (BTW, I haven't figured out how to make any of the other containers -- just a moveable sachel.)

i have one question... how do you activate the containers? I dropped them on the ground but when i try to "activate" them to put things in them i just pick up my containers again... If some one could just clear this up for me I would be much appreciated... BTW I don't own my own home yet.

I cant get them to show what they even are most the time even after beaten the hell out of my E button. but thats not even half the story my character is so big im like a gaint that should be hording mamaths. NO JOKE the characters are at my knees my greatsword is as big as a house. Need to sign out sorry man just to much. Dragons will be like ants if i keep it up.

This is FUN. I've used this in every house, no need for big castles anymore. Maybe some bookshelfs a weaponrack and some plants.

I love being able to add my own containers. There was a mod similar to this for Oblivion that allowed for plants and chairs and such also. One issue I am having with this is that when I make one item and set it in place, there ends up being 2 identical containers using the same space. Yesterday I placed an end table near my enchanting table and placed all my filled soul gems into it. Today it showed as empty. I clicked on the table to move it "UP" and as it went up, there was another there also and it actually had my gems in it. (Relief) I just continued to move the empty table up until it was like a double container and now they are both usable. I have had this happen every time I place a container in my Riverside Lodge mod house. I don't mind getting two for one but it confused me at first. Thanks for making this mod for us!

This is a wonderful mod! Very useful and I do hope the author keeps at it, especially making the placeholders look like the actual items.

This is a really great mod! with this and the advanced manequins it eliminates the need to use many of the created player homes and stick more to the original spirit of th game. great job!! if you were going to do any thing else with the mod the only suggestions i would have would be a jewelry box sized chest or the option for auto storing option for "armor", "weapons" or "potions" when sorting inventory, but that would alll just be overkill or "icing" on the cake. thank for posting this!

Alot of the containers, when they are on the ground, are typo'd. I wonder what happened to the mod maker. This is a good mod. I really want to see the bugs worked out and things like the typos fixed

Some interesing things can be done with this, I managed to hang a dwemer chest on the wall above a bed, it was a little tricky though but looks rather nice. Also noticed a typo sachel needs to be satchel. And speaking of which, placing the satchel or strongbox on the end table and then doing the final placement, causes them to hover slightly above the table, not sure if it's possible or easy to tweak this?

Once you get used to how the system works, placing these objects becomes easier. Takes a little experimenting at first to figure out what is the front, back and sides of the objects are when placing the "placeholder item"

Maybe some bookcases and manakins could be possible along with a couple more containers such as more dwemer chest types, and that safe that you get with the house in solitude.

Now that I've used this for a bit I'll mark this mod up :)

@DerEider; i haven't had that problem. when i tap E i hit the key very fast. to pick it up back to inventory, i hold E a bit longer. don't know if that will help. * to pick up any skyrim item and carry it around try holding down left shift and then hold down E at the same time. it makes it easier to move items without accidently putting them back into your inventory.

@ronr42, I hear you, really. BUT, every time I try focusing and tapping E a few times, the block/ingot disappears back into my inventory on the first tap. When focusing, the HUD says E to pick it up - and so it does. ... Not quite EVERY time ... I did manage finally to convert the huge basket into a small barrel [like Dr. Who's Tardis though, size does not matter when you can stuff anything and everything into it].

@EVERYONE; craft the item. DOES NOT MATTER WHAT THE PIC LOOKS LIKE IN CRAFTING MENU! drop it in the general area you want it. it will appear to be a large ingot or block. focus on it, tap your activation key[default E] a few times and it will open up to the item you created. every once in a while i have had to pick the item back up[NOT INTO INVENTORY] and carry it a couple of steps. then drop it back down on the floor. focus on it and tap E a few more times and it will pop open to what you crafted. this is a great mod and very useful. its not the modders fault that the CK is so hard to deal with. there are very few mods out there that are moveable, placeable objects. theres a reason for that. its not easy to do that kind of mod!

I have to say, this mod very nice if you can put up with how best to move the containers and figure out how to place them well.

Keep up the good work. The typo in Dwemer chest is still there when its on the ground, but otherwise, I'm really enjoying it.

Nothing I've kept in these has ever disappeared, and the things stay where I put them. I love putting them in places /just/ where I need them.

I hope you can come back and fix a typo and expand on this mod. I'd love a Moveable Safe to go with the rest.

This is really frustrating. Is here any way to control the 'drop' process. This is not a problem solely with this mod, it is Skyrim in general. If you aren't transferring directly into another inventory, like your follower, a bookshelf, a chest, etc., 'drops' go anywhere but where you want them. Any hints?

Made some of your containers. The 'barrel' makes a huge basket that I can move around but cannot store anything in. When I 'drop' the containers, I have no idea where they go. When I find them and move them where they should go and try to activate them with 'E', they just go back into my inventory [btw, when the ingot is on the floor and I focus on them, the screen indicates that 'E' is for pick up, not activation]. Made 4 Dwemer chests. 2 have simply disappeared. Have searched all around the large room, behind everything, etc., with no joy. Was able to find the 3rd Dw chest across the room and carried it back to where I want it but cannot get it to activate ['E' just picks it up]. Tried the end tables as well with similar results, though I was able to find them. What am I doing wrong?

@magne.moe; ok, great that you are willing to try it when you get time. i understand that perfecting this mod has to be your first priority. this one has been working good for me. but i know some people are having problems with the extra steps involved. * i don't have any idea how the author of the dynamic mannequins mod got it to work [i'm not a modder]. just know it is possible. i really appreciate you being willing to at least look into doing that kind of mod. thank you.

Problem with mannequins is that they have other issues like moving around, but yes I have thought about them, wonder if I simply can have the mannequin follow you like an follower :)

However it will be after this project: to place an container you have to first drop it, then activate it with E, then move it where you want it, if you activate it again it will be placed.
Trying to make moveable placeholders who look like the object and to get rid of the first activate.

I am not sure if i loaded a conflicting mod, but i no longer have the chests or any of the storage containers in inventory or aat Belethors? I will try to enable and dissable some of the mods and let you know if i find the conflict.

LOL, PPM1308; it's not this mod. did you sub. to the mod that makes your character bigger? there is one out there. if you didn't, then you might have some other mod that changes your ch. that is conflicting.

Ok I dont know if this is a mod problem ( ie a clash ) but when placing items I am suddenly 500 times my normal size ( talk about land of the giants hehe ) otherwise it seems to be working fine :))

I'm well aware of that but previously @magne.moe or someone was asking which mannequins someone wanted him to duplicate to increase the count on so I was merely referencing both locations

My only problem: The Dwemer Chest is misspelled. Its like Dwewer Cest or something like it when its open and set down.

Otherwise, I highly approve of this mod. Nothing has vanished. The things I've made stay where I put them. Beyond the little inconveniences of learning how to place... things are incredible.

@Kan unfortunatly the nexus link you just posted is the same mod avail. on steam. the problem is, there is only 18 mannequins. that counting the ones that came with the proudspire armory mod i have only makes 41 total. with the vanilla skyrim armor and the new armor modders are adding, thats nowhere near enough. just hoping someone will come up with a mod that lets us buy or craft all we want. i'm not a modder or a computer whiz. all i know is something done once can be repeated and improved on.

@EVERYONE; i still have only made and used the strong box, dwemer chest and satchel. they are working great and i have not lost anything! the first two i have in my proudspire armory expansion mod [not author] it adds a new door to proudspire that has a loading time to pass through. containers and items are still there. the satchel i put on the alchemy table in the original proudspire basement. tons of ingrediants, all still there. i have no idea why anyone is having trouble with this mod. it works great and i give it a big thumbs up + 5 stars.

@ARIA; you craft them at a forge under misc. when you say how do you get the item. if you mean the mod itself, you click the green subscribe button above. it automaticly downloads the next time you start the game. give it a minute or so to download before clicking play on the skyrim main menu. then once you playing, just go to any smithing forge and you make them.

I think this one needs more work. Too much trouble. Open Strongbox after putting stuff in and leaving Breezehome and items are gone. Leave house and return in and they reappear. Not feeling safe here. Removing it.

i am sorry but i am a bit confused with this, i have crafted the chests and placed them where they look like ignots where i want them. Then i leave the house and come back yet they are still ingots and can't store anything in them! am i missing soemthing here?

@ARIA; the mod is craftable containers. you don't find them in a cottage.
