Assuming it's this bust (http://www.britishmuseum.org/research/collection_online/collection_object_details.aspx?objectId=437273&partId=1&object=20961&page=2) , it's a "Roman copy of a Hellenistic original"... so a Greek bust that was later remade by the Romans.
