We share a universe, so I thought it would be logical to nick a lot of inspiration from medlock's builds.

Correct. I named it mainly for the size and role, which are quite similar.

hosho was first carrier buit for its purpose and not rebuilt from other ship and made by IJN am I right?

Looks a lot like k_medlock's more recent ACI stuff. The small winglets and the armor texturing, specifically.

Yes, k_medlock's ships are a major source of inspiration. The reasoning for this is because HDY and ACI are allies in lore, and even the Terran ships look quite similar (I forgot the name of the mastermind behind the Terran ships unfortunately, but he had a similar shape for his ships as well). So it's kind of like a universal ship design, much like seemingly half of the modern day destroyers are just modified Arleigh Burkes lol.

Just joking, very nice work. Although the ship reminds me too much of the dagger ships from teh ACI.

There is a staircase where you get stuck if you walk through normally, you should be able to get through by crouching. Alternatively one could change the slope piece above the staircase. Thanks for the kind words on the design, this is the aspect about my builds I pay the most attention to and so I always am happy to see it appreciated.

Seems very slow, but I love its sleek design. I got stuck going from the hangar control room to the main room. Easy fix. Overall nice.

It has a few problems here and ther (getting stuck in certen places thoughout the ship), but overall its a cool design.

Thank you! Yes, the jump drive is by far my favourite part of the ship. The idea for the ship developed after I learned of the merchant aircraft carriers built during world war two.
