I know this might be Necro, but is it broken? i placed down a mine and it created an outpost, this mod is exactly what i have been looking for so it would be really cool if that were fixed?

I've found that if the house is placed in the middle of nowhere I can't see through the roof, but if it's close enough to a map marker like a town or location like a ruined tower it works fine. Seems to have something to do with town radius since if for example I build near Dust Tower the house seems to become part of that location's town radius and my storage containers are all marked as owned by Dust Tower as if I bought a house in a town.

So there is a sort of workaround to the roof problem even if it's not exactly ideal. Just need some trial and error to see how far from a town or location you can build so the roof thing doesn't happen.

I'm getting the same glitch as The Divided God, i built a hidden Storm House and i cant see inside it unless i zoom in past the walls which makes playing rather difficult. Other than that the mod is great.
The_Divided_God 22 Jul, 2019 @ 4:31pm
Without these items the whole idea is hobbled - like, yeah, I get a hideout and some stuff, but you can't actually make food, which is kinda the whole point - having a safe farm and cooking station to return to in order to stock up between voyages without having to worry about getting destroyed by locals is basically what gives you some breathing room.

anyways the mod definitely needs a once over, it's kind of buggy the more I play with the hidden buildings.
The_Divided_God 22 Jul, 2019 @ 4:31pm
I also noticed that the cooking stove DOES in fact trigger an outpost, when it is placed on the ground outside a hidden building, so this mod needs a hidden version of that. also, there's no hidden greenfruit storage, so nowhere to store the one thing you can grow, and thus the cooking stove AI job behaviour doesn't work properly - sometimes the cook will grab greenfruit directly from the farm, sometimes he just stands there aimless. The other thing this mod needs is a hidden food barrel, to actually put the food in when you are done cooking the vegetables.

The_Divided_God 22 Jul, 2019 @ 4:30pm
Looks like some bugs in this mod - several times now I've loaded up a save to find that suddenly, my hidden buildings and greenfruit farms are hidden no more, and I have an "outpost" marker on the map now. For whatever reason, hidden status is not persisting through saves, and as a result the game is generating an outpost map marker on game load.

I would think so, as they seem to be used to set up a place when starting out, but I've never used this mod.

Noob question, well couple actually: I've got a ton of mods loaded including a couple camping mods (Simple Camping Extras; Buried Treasure; Camp Bed; Extended Camping; as well as several that affect storage . . . ) grabbed someone's collection. With a brand new character I'm not seeing anything like a "Camping" sub-menu in the Building Menu. Are the items in this mod supposed to be buildable at like zero tech levels?
The_Divided_God 23 Jun, 2019 @ 9:28pm
Getting a strange error now....I had put up a hidden storm house in HN territory, everything worked fine. I imported my game when the new patch came out, and when I tried to build a new hidden storm house in shem, for some reason, when the house was finished, it wouldn't let me see inside....like, the cutaway thing that happens when you enter a building, where the walls and roof disappear so you can see inside? didn't happen. I tried running through all the visible levels, 0-3, saved and reloaded, nothing. the building won't let me see inside no matter who is in there.
The_Divided_God 19 Jun, 2019 @ 7:24pm
Nevermind, I was wrong, the cooking stove doesn't seem to put down an outpost marker. adding a hidden greenfruit storage would be good though
The_Divided_God 18 Jun, 2019 @ 8:51pm
Hey, I think you might need to add a cooking stove, unless I'm mistaken, but I think placing one creates an outpost. Without a (hidden) version, you can't stay hidden and cook vegetables!
sushiroll 3 Jun, 2019 @ 3:04pm
i don't think it does require an import, it's just a blueprint that shows up in stores
The_Divided_God 16 May, 2019 @ 8:50am
Does this mod require an import?
Ropehan 7 Apr, 2019 @ 7:15am
I like the idea, I just wish it followed the tech research. As it is, you get access to everything this mod provides without researching anything. Essentially there is no need to research corpse furnace, item melting etc now.

@Yotokan
I deleted the mod from my kenshi mods folder and then subbed to it in the workshop, it appeared in my mod selection list when starting the game with no issue confirming there is something that needs to be done on your end. Good luck
Howls@TheMoon  [author] 3 Jan, 2019 @ 12:45pm
I believe I've seen that restarting Steam might help with that. There are some discussions on mods not showing up you might want to look at if that doesn't work. Lmk and I will upload it again just to check.
Howls@TheMoon  [author] 3 Jan, 2019 @ 12:43pm
@Yotokan
Well that's a first for me, sounds like there might be something else going on.
I'll take a look at it again, can you tell me if you've tried downloading other mods than this one that have shown up in your mods list?
Yotokan 3 Jan, 2019 @ 11:24am
doesn't work, it doesn't even show up in the mod list either, even though i subbed.
amiachan 19 Dec, 2018 @ 6:46pm
Oh, no problem at all! I'm glad I helped. I'm bad with computers, myself, so I always worry that I'm just being dumb and missing something when I ask a Mod maker something. I'll be sure to let you know if I see anything else amiss in the future. Keep making amazing content! <3

Fixed prisoner cage (hidden) it was missing it's functionality :O
(added cage function :P)
Added M and L veg farm so the small hidden farm can be upgraded without making a town.
Removed the upgrade from hidden stone processor and stone mine to avoid making a town on upgrade.
Thank you for helping out @amiachan
amiachan 19 Dec, 2018 @ 4:23am
Oh, no I can see it in my build menu and it will even build just fine, but I can't use it to hold a person once it's placed and all. Or is it just decorative and I'm being silly thinking I can put the person I've had over my shoulder for the past few days into it?
Howls@TheMoon  [author] 19 Dec, 2018 @ 3:16am
@amaichan
I can check it out tomorrow, it just doesn't show up on your build menu?
amiachan 19 Dec, 2018 @ 3:10am
Hey, I love this mod, very cool idea. One thing I've noticed though is that the Prisoner Cage that comes with it does not seem to work. Do I need to research Imprisonment first, or is this a bug on my end?
Howls@TheMoon  [author] 22 Nov, 2018 @ 3:53am
@stifmajster88
I will add a blue print to shops tomorrow. Thank you for pointing it out.
stifmajster88 21 Nov, 2018 @ 5:56am
Hi, was just wandering, if you could make a buyable blueprint for your hidden buildings and items? Because now, one doesn't have access to your mod, if one does not begin game in "default start".
Btw it's a great mod ! :)
Ullatec 29 Sep, 2018 @ 10:46pm
Damn, been looking for something like this for awhile. very nice
Howls@TheMoon  [author] 4 Aug, 2018 @ 9:11pm
I just added the rest of the default builds shown in blue in above picture to the new (hidden) build list as not to interfere with default files. I apologize if any of you have placed those default buildings in your hidden town it might become a town with this swap but this will work better in the long run as it doesn't alter the base game files.
The Blue Gentleman 4 Aug, 2018 @ 4:10pm
Ah thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for!
Howls@TheMoon  [author] 3 Aug, 2018 @ 5:19pm
Or you can also use the (hidden) builds to make a seperate fort close to your player city to escape to when there are to many raids or a large incoming raid your not ready for.
Howls@TheMoon  [author] 3 Aug, 2018 @ 5:16pm
All of these buildables are included in the default research so you have them to start, the ones that dont create a town have (hidden). Works just like building any other fort except you are limited to the (hidden) buildings if you don't want NPC's to raid or collect taxes on your base.
It's good for large squads when you dont want to take all troops with you and don't want to worry about the ones left behind being attacked. Using this mod with my No hunger while sitting or sleeping and you can effectively put part of your troops sitting in your hidden fort and not have to worry about them until your ready. The main downside is because it does'nt create a player city there will be no map marker so its important you remember where you build it lol.
The Blue Gentleman 3 Aug, 2018 @ 12:29pm
I like the idea of this. Would love a better explaination on how this whole thing works.
