With the recent addition of the crafting menu search field; when typing in the text field mods key binds will fire. Is it possible to add additional key binds outside of a-z?

Did you update the mod to use Kleis latest API which can dynamic calculate weapon damage?
Because the original mod uses outdated api, which cause crashes in some cases when sorting.

So, when I put the torch count to the max (10), the mod will put up to 10 torches in the first slots of the inventory, but the other light items, like the Lantern, Miner hat and Moggles(that are much more useful outside of the early game), still go to the end of the inventory. Maybe they are being classified as misc and going to the end slots because of this, but I'm not sure. Do you think it would be possible to make these light items have more priority in the sorting process?

(Btw, thanks for keeping this really wonderfull mod alive! )

@Leinad - IIRC DJPaul's intention with the light bag was to pick a specific number of light sources to main inventory, this is what the "Preferred torch count" option does. You should be able to achieve what you want by setting this to high value. Does this work for you?

Hey, myxal! So, I have been using this mod for a while now and something I have noticed is that light items like the Lantern, Miner Hat and Moggles are usually sorted to the backpack when there's a full inventory. I belive it would make more sense for them to be in the main inventory (I normally put light items after weapons and before armor). I even noticed that, in the codes, the light Bag has the most priority, but these items are not going to the expected place. Do you think this is something that could be changed?

I'm not the original asker, but I also felt the need for that feature today, and here's how I see things.

1) Just sorting the chest content itself is already more valuable than you might think. Having a sensible order between items (instead of the random order in which you stored them), and ensuring that duplicate stacks of the same item are next to each other, that's cool.

2) If we can have interactions between the chest and the player inventory, when an item has a stack in both the chest and the inventory, both stacks should be merged in the same container. I think from inventory to chest is a sensible default, but ideally it could be a toggle option (to chest/to inventory/to smaller stack/to bigger stack).

Hope it helps, and thanks for the super useful mod in any case.

To those asking for sorting chests - how exactly do you expect that to work?

Sorting only the chest contents (ie not touching the player's inventory) when a chest is opened might be doable, but I don't see how this is worth the effort, unless you're using really huge, modded chests like the Storm Cellar, on a large scale. (I use storm cellar, but rarely have more then 2 per base, and even then it's only used for low-traffic, mostly non-stacked items (clothing, hats, staffs, goodies...).

As @Love&Peace said, the "resource" recognizer doesn't work when server language is non-English. I put a pull request on your GitHub and fixed the problem. :D

Hi~, I find a question about this mod. I am used to setting the 'store these in backpack' as 'resource'. However, SOMETIMES it does not work: all the resources are still in my item bar while my backpack is empty. Everytime I meet this trouble, I change the setting to 'tools'. Then my ax is move to backpack automatical. So I think the trouble may be only about 'resource'. Do you have any idea? Thank you!

想要自定义成f1-f12的话, 可以打开workshop-1462979419文件夹, 编辑其中的modinfo.lua文件. 把22行的103改为282(这样就是按F1整理, 283是F2以此类推). 并把第26行改为276(282-6=276).

希望可以使用更多的自定义按键而不只是字母键.

If my backpack (regular one) is full of items, when I press sort, the additional items of the same class that do not fit in the backpack are dropped. Is this intentional?

thank you and one thing is that i think the function ItemIsLight, line 60, might has a bug in the return statement in " int.HasTag = "light" " i think it should be "inst:HasTag("light")" and so lantern will get sort :D

ok, thank you, changed the line now to:

(just found out all containers have this tag, so we can directly look for them)

But I think the FindEntities function will find everything within 20 radius and then checks for the Tags. So the difference is only in what it returns... so in the end it might be faster to have no search tags at all and only do our own checks... hm... But since I'm not sure how it internally works, I will leave it the way above.

Hi Serp. No, no issue observed with FinderMod after removing NOBLOCK tag from exclusions (used with both client-hosted and dedicated). Should be safe.

@kiko, does this happen immediately after starting the game? Also, which backpack are you using? (The candybag is ignored when sorting, you have to put the items in manually)
