Here is something strange in my neighborhood: I start new game, first add your mod - good, no crash. Then I added all of my mods from previous game... It's run good! I don't understand...

well its the two rail gun mods but its easier for me to remove and make sure it worked than have someone else and try to walk them through it.

Truth is I fell asleep and forgot to remove the mod as a dependency..... its removed now.

I don't understand. I remove mod from savefolder, remove mod from savefile, railguns still loading and Battlethorn crash the game

i think that is the source of your problem. i run this mod on 2 ds and they run smooth. i do get a err in sp thought because i have not added pictures for my restart ships but that causes no issues.

bt rail gun and Revived Large Ship Railguns (With penetration and shield damage! are the same mod, only bt rail gun has lost tech in the build requirements. if you have used any of my other mods other than battle torn the same is applied. i will remove it as a mod dependent but you may need to remove it from your mod list. if you wish to need the lost tech to build it and other weapons and such, then send me a pm and il help you installing the needed mods and uninstalling the old.

This mod is amazing. The addition of lost tech and hunting robots has greatly improved my play experience. When I add other mods that seem OP like gravity thrusters, I have been editing them to require lost tech and make it feel earned.

I'm looking for more Encounters because EEM exploration mod and Corruption, Reavers mods are not enough for me. Will this mod still works without required mods ? besides GSF which I already have in my world.

that mod is also straight from gsf pack, just lost tech added to build. A LOT of those are broken in survival mp but, they all work in a sp game so I havnt removed the broken weapons from the bt pack. ( havnt tested to see if the new update broke sp to) Hoping they update and fix these because I can't find any other weapons pack that fits the story good.
If your not in mp go into the guns setting and make sure your required input is less than your maximum inputg for that gun.

Hi. Another question. How do get these advanced weapons to work? When constructed they have no contents and nothing can be added. Am I missing somthing? They look great and do nothing lol. I have used the GSF mod alone and the weapons always stock with whatever the original contruction parts was, ie; Large Laser Box, etc. Thanks.

Also last update broke a lot of stuff, you may have remove your mod folder to keep the map from trying to use the outdated bt defense mod.

1. Hmm not sure about how to get the old b&r systems, I just keep mine mostly up to date with dummy08s. I can dig more into at a later date.
2.The battle torn sheild mod is the same one as darkstars. It's just been changed to add lost tech to the build requirements I updated it yesterday to match. So just run one or the other.
4. none of the the other mods out side battle torn is required they just add immersion, and some of the tech is on the crashes, if removed you won't get the lost tech from those crashes but it won't break the mod. I created clean for people who just wanted more customization but each mod can stand alone. You can find each part in my ws items. Just hit me up with anymore questions you have bro.

How would someone go about getting the old repair system without the nanite functions to make repairs? I like to use it as a sort of tiered step toward the more advanced Nanite Factory because of the fact that it would only repair and assist in local construction and lacks the advanced features like mining and retrieving dropped items or damaging other ships. Also, the bt shield mod breaks Darkstars' Defense Shields v1.2(8) so I had to throw it all out and minminze to BT clean. =( Is the bt shield mod required to use the other 4 parts? Thanks.

i pulled apart this mod and made that one where you can pick and chose your extras. if you chose not to use the gsf bt weapons pack though your miss out on alot of lost-tech

hmm they are part of the corruption mod and must not register to the game as drones, if this is a big problem to you there are 2 fixes
1. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1497267334 use this mod and just download the links you want from the description. the curroption mod can be added whenever your ready.
2. use a safe zone from the f10 menue to keep your base safe.

thirtymilesniper was chasing down some bugs tonight. wasnt thinking but the the build repair mod is tied into battle torn already. if you loaded that mod in with battle torn that could have been what broke it. i should have cought this the other day but didnt.

Ok, Might be worth putting that in the description. The grids i found were located using the admin tool which is why i know the map was empty.

ok so i checked it out and its not broken,
try these things
1. just to be safe double check cargo ships and random encounters are on
2. turn up your view distance (derelicts will only spawn in as far as your view distance is set) i advise 25 to 35.
3. if your not using the midship exploration ship scan, there very hard to find. so i advise using it, make sure your anntinna is set to atleast your view distance. i just max mine out. the scan will only go as far as your anntinna broadcast range is set.
if it dont work after this post your wourld save and il dig into it to find it.

Both random encounters and cargo ships were on. I started it before todays update.

Was random encounters on? If you only had cargo ships on and not random encounters it may just cause pirates. It's also possible keen broke it with the last update if it was recent.

I tried the mod along with the Build repair mod. Something was screwed up because despite the initail spawns on map load (2 bits of scrap and 1/4 of a small miner) all that spawned in for 4 hours were endless Agentivas.

@ flori1994 there is 4 in there, although 2 look a lot alike. I want to add more but il have to make them really rare because almost all of them are 13000 blocks ore more. Also got 5 or 6 star wars ships floating in there.

Mike I have been fighting with the rail gun And making small tweaks To component list, thats the updats There slow down a lot to just new added content now. Sorry about that. And the exploding ship will kill you about 1/20. I thought about trying to fix it but it kinda grew on me. ( now I'm like here we go I might die from this...) Also the last 5 ships added was small and I'm looking for a lot more, if you have any you would like to see In game send them my way. By the time I dig threw the the work shop, find a good one, damage it, edit the files, it is exstreamly time consuming. Any of these steps removed would be awsome.

What are the latest updates all about?

Btw i was looking for a mod like this for ages. I hate it to find giant battleships with lots of free resources that are "brand new" in a survival world. Because if you found one of these, there is no need to play the game any further since you have all you need for free.
Having that said, i'd like to see more smaller sized (crashed of course) ships and less of the bigger ones in this mod. The size like the yellow bus (vanilla spawnship) for example.
In my humble opinion, there is no need for those giant ships in a singleplayer survival world.

Also your spawnships are great. Except for the one that explodes right after the spawn, because sometimes it kills you right away. (The damage seems random, even if the warheads are at the same position each time.)

boom, thats what its all about. im trying my best to keep your story from stoping at i made a space ship aswell. :) make sure you go find some lost tech man and see what kind of crazy stuff you can find.

did noob crash start, grinded down parts of ship, made parachute bays, crashed hard on earthlike losing refinery, crafted arc refinery while having to deal with almost perm night while also having to deal with a single battery and all the reactors dead, finaly got a refinery back, struggled to keep power, made a giant large grid landrover and a small ultralight plane, drove 40k to the opposite side of the planet i wanted to be at (desert), attached thrusters to mobile rover base, relised the small craft on top was causing issues, grinded down half of it, finaly made it to desert after almost crashing into a hill 3x, rebuilt ultralight, parks it on ground and takes mobile base out for a spin, freking roadkills the ultralight compleatly destroying it (facepalm) and now i have started work on a spaceship

that's what i meant with tiered components. I'd be interested in helping where i can, i have a (very small) bit of modding experience, but basically none in SE.
