Map concept is cool but need to improve performance. Props are laggy. And i trapped myself on a platform. Figured it out with bottles-of-water

The map was fun BUT at the conveyor belt there was a lot lag because the props just kept piling onto eachother and it wouldnt despawn. This caused a lot of issues and boredom.

Super cool and funny map. Thank u for create <3
Sven 22 Jun, 2021 @ 11:52am
Great map man :) We had a lot of fun playing this.

Two Robots lost their minds and completed this testing track, it was an okay map. One problem though: REMOVE THE PHYSICS OBJECTS ON THE CONVEYOR BELT (or replace them with static objects), as this would remove the lag. Also, make the other cube dropper at the bottom of the last map drop a new cube..thank you.

Maddie 21 Jan, 2017 @ 5:53pm
Oh and if you get bored or nostalgic: YES MAKE ANOTHER MAP ;)
(Some people actually read comments!)

Destructives plumes of fire, raining debris and high-flying acrobatics set the mood for this epic sized multi-part test chamber with very cool visual design and medium difficulty puzzles. Our execution of the puzzle solutions made it even harder. hehe What did the second cube plate switch do? I don't think we used it. Thank you for making it!
DreamRJ  [author] 30 May, 2015 @ 12:09am
@Freeman|TR - thanks u too :)
not-paradiser 29 May, 2015 @ 10:49pm
Ahaha me neither. At least for portal 2. Cold community... Good luck then ^^
DreamRJ  [author] 29 May, 2015 @ 10:30pm
@Freeman|TR - i dont make maps anymore, sorry to disappoint. i got other more important stuff to do these days. but thanks again :)
not-paradiser 29 May, 2015 @ 9:12pm
Don't be sorry man. It actually is a very different map and brings about very unique experience. Can't wait your new work!
DreamRJ  [author] 29 May, 2015 @ 3:56pm
@Freeman|TR - thanks for the feedback, im sorry u found the map unpleasent, this map was intended to be very different from the other maps i did.

But anyway it's a fancy map with so many detailed hammer work. Also a nice try to bring about some great gaming experience. At least for me and my partner we fail to understand the fun it tries to deliver. Don't know how others think about it. I'm just a more serious and picky player.
No matter what we together finished your level at last and we totally respect your effort. Fizzled a lot of water bottle haha. Also I see your name on a lot of other great levels and enjoyed all of them. Again thanks for the efforts you put in this level!
not-paradiser 29 May, 2015 @ 10:02am
Also got angered by these simple floor buttons. Don't you think putting my teammate or myself onto a square floor button just to see it failed to be activated is kinda annoying? A floor button with grates set aside or merely a sign should make it smoother. Don't you think so many antlines are just worse than no antline? Stepping around to deactivate the right fizzler is tiring. Don't you think one step further to a gigantic fire is totally safe while one step closer kills me instantly is unacceptable? The portal 2 trailer lies. Atlas never gonna hug P-Body happily after revived like nothing happened. The same unpleasant details are just so much that they made the whole level kinda unpleasant.

All these props rolling on the ground don't you think they enrage people easily because it becomes so hard to move. And all these invisible walls. func_no_portal_volume right if I spelled it correctly. In the orange gel room I got desperate with these invisible blocks. Yes I admit I am a puzzle breaker. But it sucks when I just cannot open a portal when I can definitely see it clearly. It sucks when I just got enough height to reach that edge but it's just so damn hard to actually get onto it, left wondering if it is the right way (tried a lot of times and made it). There is a wonderful "logic twist" when I have to use portals to get in and out of the funnel room, but the solution is not that sweet.
not-paradiser 29 May, 2015 @ 9:47am
Gorgeous and magnificent. Love the details and atmosphere.
But let's just say you probably kinda lost focus on players' psychology. Me and my partner took a long journey, but it wasn't one of the pleasant. We struggled to finish the map. We figured out those decently designed puzzles one by one, used our brains heavily, moved here and there and trolled with stuff. But one thing is missing. Fun. We didn't have a lot of fun playing it. Sometimes I kinda felt don't want to continue anymore. Or I felt like "Come on just end the level quick".

@[Tom K] - Thanks for the playthrough, glad you liked my maps :)

HeY! We played your map, you can watch the blind play here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oILwZYvDIUo Sorry for the bad mic quality of mine.
DreamRJ  [author] 14 May, 2015 @ 6:23am
@Spaceminnow - haha ok, glad you enjoyed it :)
Spaceminnow 13 May, 2015 @ 6:21pm
We enjoyed this map. My partner also likes to play with garbage in the map lol. Got stuck up on a platform together... we were blaming each other for awhile then restarted....
The Sojourner 5 Feb, 2015 @ 11:27pm
Yes. Also, the textures look very weird that that last room.
wildgoosespeeder 5 Feb, 2015 @ 11:23pm
First area didn't need the star symboled laser catcher.

I was almost done with this map (with p0rtalmaster) and then the room with the two particle flames really took it too far. There is just too much junk in the last area that inevitably crashed my game probably due to too many cores, gas tanks, and water jugs. The particle fire effect really dropped my framerate down from once very smooth to very choppy and got worse with more rendering of those things I mentioned. Trying to figure out how to get the laser cube out of the fizzler madness area to activate the two buttons labeled 1 and 2 was where it crashed. I don't want to go through all that trouble again. I think the game kept adding props without removing any, which caused the game to give me a crash message related to an "engine error".

i finished it's amazing very well done! ty very much!

@{---[]☭} Laika - thanks
mlem 5 Jun, 2014 @ 11:19pm
cool map! hard to tell what things do or what buttons need boxes though.
DreamRJ  [author] 16 Feb, 2014 @ 7:01am
@Gregarious Garmentmonger Garak - what do u mean, what entity spawning, do u even know what you are talking about :P
Vauderus 15 Feb, 2014 @ 7:47pm
You could just remove the entity spawning. It's not exactly necessary to the puzzle.
DreamRJ  [author] 13 Jan, 2014 @ 11:03pm
@delphoshpm - yes i know about that problem, there is nothing i can do about it though, it is a limit in the engine how many entitys are allowed in the map before it starts to lag, sorry about this though, but that is out of my hands :( but thanks for feedback, glad u liked this map
MercuryDemise 13 Jan, 2014 @ 10:49pm
One glitch i noticed is, after a wile the dead cores pill up and causes lag.
[ExR]-IAMV0LDY 12 Jan, 2014 @ 2:53pm
Nice map but it looks like in the last chamber all the objects make it lag!
DreamRJ  [author] 2 Oct, 2013 @ 12:17pm
@Mitch McWiggins - no lol, that was a cheat i forgot to fix, and decided to leave it in the map :)
Mitch McWiggins 2 Oct, 2013 @ 12:03pm
Good one, thanks. Did I do the last part correctly? Use one cube to press down both buttons?
overplumbum 26 Sep, 2013 @ 5:10pm
great performance problems near the end of map looks like because of too many staff on production lineunder the ceiling
AniCator 3 Aug, 2013 @ 2:41pm

A great brain-storming and a very nice hammer-map.
We have some difficulties at the end of the map because we have lost a cube ^^'
Maxtasy 5 Jul, 2013 @ 8:04am
Really nice map! My partner in science and I recorded our playthrough:
