hole 10 can be a little tricky of you go the intended way. But the short cut should work. you may have been doing the short cut incorrectly. I would agree that the original is much better than the sequel, thanks for playing.
Hole 9 is definitely a little too unfair and I'd suggest raising those walls up so that you don't go back to the start after taking 5 strokes. I'd personally recommend moving Hole 11's spawn forward slightly, and placing a bloodwater stream flowing into some bloodwater below, as to add more color but also to not punish players as much for taking the left route but still punish them slightly. I'd highly recommend adding torches to the map if they are ever added to level editor. And finally, you are evil for making Hole 18. That is all.
