I've made a slight change to try and get the naval combat better but there will still be times when the defenders delay in fighting back a boarding party. Anymore than this and the land combat animations will be compromised.

@OccisorXv ok I see what the problem is. Matched combat isn't permitted on ships. Its a flaw even in vanilla as even then a unit may stand around for a while whilst being hacked to death as vanilla allows approx 30% matched combat.
The problem stands out more with my mod as I raise that to approx 50%. For mods that do exclusive matched combat, there is no fighting at all !
I will have to have a think about this but note that in my mod the fighting back will kick in eventually.

I have an issue where in ship to ship combat the units just stand around and don't fight.
