Just as a heads up, the description isn't quite correct, you gain your first civil ability point at 2 in vanilla as well.

If you want to download a mod from the Workshop for a non-steam game, you can use this site: {LINK REMOVED} you put the "direct link" of the mod from the steam workshop in the bar, and press "download", it work. just need to put the files in the mod folder of the game. (don't forget to download the updated version of the mods if necessary). I use it for Europa Universalis 4 ( a bug, i can't download mods, and it work for me :) )

Would it be possible for you to upload this and Rude Loot to the nexus? I have a friend I'm introducing to the game and plan on recommending this mod, but they have the GOG version of the game.

Edit, I can confirm this mod now works as intended on a fresh game. (tested using cheat commander)

thank you for fixing this mod baardvaark, it works like a charm!
matthew 14 Sep, 2018 @ 1:48am
Thank you, that is awesome. And yes, I would also suggest cheat commander to give you any civil points you are missing.. But at least now, the mod will work as intended.

Okay, updated. It now starts at level 2, and should give points at level 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, etc. I don't think it will retroactively grant you points, but it should hopefully give future points at the right time even on existing saves.

If you're feel like you're missing an extra civil ability point that you should have, then I suggest you use Cheat Commander to add one or two.

Will fix this right now. It's something about the "civil point offset" changing in an unexpected way.
matthew 13 Sep, 2018 @ 10:25am
So until this issue is fixed, (and I wish that baardvaark would reply and acknowledge when this problem will be fixed. I can use cheat commander to grant an extra civil point, so for that reason, I don't really see the need for this mod. However, I'm not sure when the civil points should be rewarded?
2,5,8,11,14,17,20
Thjat would be the most logical order.
as I'm level 6, I should have a talent point at level 5, then 8.

anywasy, that is what I'm going to do. I think the mod will give me a talent point at level 7, but I won't use that. so yeah, I still hope this mod will get fixed. Please baardvaark please fix this mod. otherwise I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this, and use cheat commander instead.

as McJelly noticed, and didn't notice myself, the mod only starts giving you points at level 4 onwards, (which is strange, as I don't remember been reward a civil point in my save. so the starting location is wrong. and due to that, it throws the points in a annoying order. and makes it a little bit more harder to progress.

So while the mod does work, (sorry about that) its not working as intended. I really hope you fix this. going to keep subscribed, but disable the mod in the game. at least until this issue has been fixed.
Oraistesu 13 Sep, 2018 @ 6:55am
Agreed, our 3-player group hasn't noticed a difference, either. We're only subscribed out of the hope that it'll get fixed at some point.

This mod isn't working period, I downloaded the cheat commander mod, and I enabled that and this mod. went to the elf in the ship (new game) and went to level 20, I got 6 civil points, and I clearly should have got more. one thing I did notice that instead of reawrding me a point at level 6, it give me a point at level 7 instead. (but disable the mod, and I get rewarded at level 6.

Please fix, I guess I will disable this mod until this issue is fixed.
Skatters 12 Sep, 2018 @ 1:33pm
Im not noticing it working either!
matthew 12 Sep, 2018 @ 11:59am
I'm not sure this mod is working, I enabled this at level 2, so I should have got a new civil point at level 5? which I am now at, but I don't see any new civil points.

I do have a few other mods installed, so wondering if there is a conflict?

Better Sir lora
fort joy respec
ladyc- free pet pal
ladyc - pet revival
slightly more civil points
rest-urrect
greed increase loot variety
let there be tooltips
ladyc - level up all equipment

So either its a conflict, or something isn't working right. I'm pretty sure I enabled this at level 2. if you want to take a look at the save, I can upload it.
baardvaark  [author] 10 Sep, 2018 @ 10:05pm
I don't think it will work retroactively, but future civil points will be awarded at the new rates, I believe.
CosmicLogic 10 Sep, 2018 @ 8:58pm
Does it work for existing saves? Like do you get the extra points if you install on an existing save?
baardvaark  [author] 6 Sep, 2018 @ 9:02am
Not intended to change when civil points start. I'l look into fixing it.
McJelly 6 Sep, 2018 @ 2:06am
Nice mod, but i have a question.

civil points Vanilla: lvl2, 6,10,14,...
civil points Mod: lvl4, 7, 10, 13,...

So the vanilla gives you a point at lvl 2 and than gives you one every 4 lvls
The mod doesn't do this. Is this intended or by accident?

Meaning early levels the mod holds you back. You can work around this problem i think if you activate the mod after you are lvl 2, haven't tested this yet though.

Anyway i do apreciate that you made a civil point mod, so thanx :D

Agreed with Gulthor an every 2 levels version would be nice. But great job no the less
Oraistesu 4 Sep, 2018 @ 9:22am
Thanks much for this! I don't suppose you might be able to make a version that goes ever 2 levels rather than 3? Regardless, thanks for all your modding work, you're really knocking them out!
de Grizz 4 Sep, 2018 @ 7:41am
