There are several alternatives which do something similar that have been updated:

* LightsOut (Pawns turn lights off when they're the last ones leaving a room & workbenches enter standby mode.)
* Turn It On and Off
* Turn It On and Off - RePowered
* RePower Patch Pack
* [FSF] Efficient Utilities

I get insane lags, down from 70-80 to 10-15 fps, if i got this mod enabled. Not sure why. Shame, this mod was exactly what I was looking for.

There's a glitch or something with Rainbeau's Fertile Fields [1.0], the electric compost barrel never works, i assume because it thinks someone should be at the "station" before giving it power. would that be this mod or fertile fields causing this issue?

@Zapp Brannigan sadly I didn't, I just disabled this mod for now. I might take a look at its resource files at a later date.

@Keikie how did you solve your issues with Climate control? I am running into issues with any and all temperature related mods while using this mod.

breaks rimfridge, sun lamps and centralized climate control from my experience, spent a while trying to figure out which mod was causing it and didn't expect it to be this
makes rimfridge freezers show up as "current temperature: -3000C"
centralized climate control fan and climate control machines show intake and exhaust as 0C

Ok, after using this mod for a while the only issue I see is the sun lamp doesn't switch on and off anymore. If I load the game while it's night, the sun lamp doesn't come on in the morning. If I load the game during the day, the sun lamp doesn't go off at night. It work ok with this mod disabled.

Never mind. I worked it out. I just disabled "realistic power consumption" then the other settings worked as expected. (I wasn't interested in increasing the power usage".

As soon as I started using this mod I noticed my heaters are using 10 times the power. If I reduce the mode global power to 10% my heater uses the correct power but my lights use a tenth. This is frustrating.

Does not work with RimFridge and fridges from deep storage. It also broke my AC units: they work only when set to below 0 degrees C. I was quite surprised that my rooms were so hot during heat wave.

funny thing is, the coolers are broken in two directions.
On one hand, if you try to cool to a reasonable temperature, they won't come on at all.
On the other hand, if you set it WAAY low and then disconnect it from power, either by turning it off or letting it drain batteries, it will continue to cool even though it is unpowered. VERY buggy, but interesting nonetheless.

I also had problems with this mod, the idea sounded great but it seems incompatible with any freezer/fridge mod, not to mention that it seems the feature to reduce the percentage of power usage didn't even work for me, with the mod every day my power would die out a bunch of times even when set to 10%

So I found out this mod basically just makes coolers not work. Had a jungle biome where my food storage was hotter than the outside temperature. Checked the coolers and they were consuming 0W.

Glad I was able to figure out the problem given I have over 200 mods goin xD

My freezer was cooling too much too, I set it to -19, but it goes to somewhere -52.

In other game, coolers are set to +25 in common room, but heat wave heats up to +56 and three coolers do not cool the room at all.
I have a mod installed that also turns lights off when pawns are not near. Maybe there is a conflict that affect the lamp behaviour on the coolers too? Like, cooling only happens when people are not present, I think....

I love what this mod does, but the fact it glitches fridges and airconditioners makes it unusable.

Not sure if this has been reported but this mod makes it really hard to get the Biofuel Refinery going, because once the refine job starts, the power req goes up to something large (it should be zero) and the job immediately aborts.

I would love to play with this mod, but I'll have to put it on hold until the hickups which @dninemfive and @Filaz mentioned are fixed. Thank you for your work @Erisss, a mod like yours really improves gameplay IMO!

It looks like the bug with RimFridge mod is back in version 1.0 :steamhappy: . Fridge doesn't cool at all, please fix.

Yeah, after a lot of playing I have to say I love the concept but it's too buggy and has too many broken features to recommend. I had an issue where my electric stove kept momentarily losing power, preventing it from being used at all, so I spawned in a vanometric cell right next to it to make sure and even then it lost power. I then installed a battery and it force-disabled the stove until it was done. It makes low-power play less possible instead of more.

Also, it seems to make turning off buildings impossible when you have a consistent undersupply of power: it'll automatically turn off things which don't have enough power, but then turn them on even if I manually turned them off.

Done. Now coolers and heaters work - I just removed them from the list of affected classes because I find one very serious bug, It's take some time to fix it.
