Jimbo... This model was a temporary model and a texture of Alex's Siemens Russian ICE and very crude TBH. I was getting to grips with 3D modelling and software at the time. I built a brand new 395 from scratch in 2020. I have many models that remain unpublished all TPF1. Ill upload a couple of images under artwork (395) at some point under TPF1

My thoughts with regard to passeneger capacities. Yes the game divides the passenger capacity provided in the mod by 4 from the relatively sound idea that 1 game person = 4 real persons . However , consider the vanilla game TGV , a ten coach real world ( 2 power cars + 8 coaches) set has 350 seats . In game a 8 pass coach set is 1 coach @ 3 pass and 7 coaches @ 23 pass = 164 passengers or 47% of capacity . Somewhere between 19 and 26 passengers per coach have been used in other mods be those who have looked to balance their mod to the game.

It's an area with no right answer I guess.

I would have kept everything has it is because I did not have any problems with it and I used a mod to get more passages on my trains.
christopher_quinn 23 Oct, 2018 @ 9:49am
@Cibaris with 4 trains running on the route, I'm going from 4x 172 capicity down to 4x 83 capacity sees profits go from £6m pa to -£1.83m :(
Cibaris  [author] 23 Oct, 2018 @ 8:09am
quin... I understand power output has bearing. Logical more power equals more speed etc. I have made some adjustments inc weight etc. Let me know how you get on.
christopher_quinn 13 Oct, 2018 @ 3:19am
Thankyou, didnt realise the game sets the passenger size. I really want to include this in my game, but even with a 3 stop route its still not making money :(
Cibaris  [author] 13 Oct, 2018 @ 3:06am
chris... the game appears to rightly treat this a premium service as in real life. Ashford to London is either via Sevenoaks etc on a low cost slow train or direct by Javelin to St Pancras. The cost per mile is greater via Javelin in real life. The capacity does indeed appear low, but the game sets this. I have looked at changing this manually but its probably a can of worms.
christopher_quinn 12 Oct, 2018 @ 11:27am
Really struggling to get this to make profit, surely 99 capicity is far to little?
S.Finch 3 Oct, 2018 @ 12:43am
But they are still in service i think

You might want to change the release date from 1990 to 2009

This is a reskin of the Siemens Velaro D
Bigbigcheese 10 Sep, 2018 @ 2:45pm
This isn't an actual Class 395 Model though is it? Just a reskin? The real model has a more rounded nose and a different underbelly. This looks like it could be good reskinned as the Eurostar though. Class 374.

I love its speed and length. Different colours would be nice?

i legit gassped when i saw this, somthig British and modern:steamhappy:
Cibaris  [author] 6 Sep, 2018 @ 7:04am
Mulitplo correct. I looked at that altering power levels on this model. Map size is a major factor
Multiplio 6 Sep, 2018 @ 5:01am
Yep much better thanks! Thinking about it, the Eurostar probably is overpowered too as it's a long distance express so speedy starts aren't so important. However in order to get it to top speed within a TPF map it probably needs the slightly unrealistic acceleration.
Centurion 5 Sep, 2018 @ 4:38pm
@Tsass no, the model is an ICE 3, but with the High Speed 1 South Eastern livery seen on a class 395 plastered on.
AleX_BY 5 Sep, 2018 @ 2:02pm
Hello! As I see you use the Velaro RUS model here. It would be nice if you'll write the link to original model in description :)
Cibaris  [author] 5 Sep, 2018 @ 11:18am
UK safety regs have dropped the requirement for yellow panels on the front of trains so long as they have lights. So its an end of an era but will make trains look better such as the 395
Cibaris  [author] 5 Sep, 2018 @ 11:16am
Multiplio....Updated power. Let me know of any issues
sumitsessle 5 Sep, 2018 @ 11:12am
good job m8! more british modern trains please! like class 387 and electrostar family :D
kido 5 Sep, 2018 @ 8:59am
@Seedrian GrayK
The class 800 is entirely different from the 395.
The only other livery the 395 has is the railtour one. Here are some differences between Class 395 and 800
-395s are fast af boii
-800s come in either 5 or 9 car sets while 395s come in 6.
-395s can use wires and third rail
-800 can use wires and diesel
-395 looks acceptable while the 800 looks like a tube on drugs.
meri5001 5 Sep, 2018 @ 8:32am
I thought the class 395 came in one livery and that was southeastern high-speed
Cibaris  [author] 5 Sep, 2018 @ 8:30am
Multiplio... its copied over from a more powerful unit. Will get around to it and also need to make a few other tweaks
Multiplio 5 Sep, 2018 @ 7:19am
Lovely livery! The acceleration seems a little... extreme? 225 km/h in under 30s! I've been on these and they're fast, but not quite that fast...

Any chance of tweaking the power to be a bit more realistic? My guess is that it consists of only power coaches since those are the ones with a door at both ends, which has messed up the power-weight ratio somewhat
Szthomas 5 Sep, 2018 @ 3:14am
Thanks for this. Big fan of these units. Now we just need the Class 360 and we are golden. I'm focusing on austrian/swiss themed maps, but this will make its way to my railroad lines for sure.
Lord Raccoon 5 Sep, 2018 @ 1:33am
Great, as always
Cibaris  [author] 5 Sep, 2018 @ 12:28am
Gray... nose cone should read 4 parts
Cibaris  [author] 5 Sep, 2018 @ 12:27am
GrayK. In what way? Different athletes on the side or differing liveries elsewhere. The GWR bimodlal has a yellow panel to front which doesn't worrk as the nose cone is made of three peices and the overlaps are no good. The Javelin tokk ages to get the yellow panel to overlap.
Tsass 5 Sep, 2018 @ 12:13am
@Dark Centurion - no these is by Hitachi Europe for the UK market
50n10_M49R 4 Sep, 2018 @ 4:59pm
@Cibaris. You know this comes in different schemes, right?
Centurion 4 Sep, 2018 @ 4:50pm
hold on, this is an ice 3?
HexAyed 4 Sep, 2018 @ 3:11pm
Very nice! :3 :highlvl:
gavt1976 4 Sep, 2018 @ 3:02pm
