So after pulling over, I walk up to the stop sign and with some effort, manage to pull it out of the ground. When my friend gets out to ask me what's going on, I begin to hit him with the it. Nothing too severe. Just enough to give him some nasty bruises. He starts freaking out as I hit him over and over with this old stop sign. He cries out, "Stop, man! Stop! It hurts! Please stop hitting me!" So you know what I did? I lowered my arms, looked him dead in the eyes and asked him "Do you want me to stop, or just SLOW DOWN?!" And that's why my friend never does anything to betray my trust.

So I drive him over there, but instead of going all the way to the old store, I pulled up to the stop sign he slowed down at before. Now like I said, this was a pretty old part of town. So the stop sign wasn't secured to the ground very well. That being the case, it was easy to do what I REALLY brought him out there for. Now this friend of mine is in decent shape, but he's absolutely NOT the physical type.

Well I didn't appreciate being charged for that ticket. But I knew my friend would deny doing so if I confronted him. So instead, I came up with a better plan. You see, my friend likes that old part of town because there's this old mom and pop store that sells the best saltwater taffy you've ever tasted. So, after paying the ticket, I wait about a month and then invited my friend to go with me to that very shop for some taffy. Of course he loved the idea and enthusiastically agreed.

You know, this reminds me of a story. One time, I lent my friend my car for a while. He had it for about a month. A week after he gave it back, I received a ticket in the mail. It turns out a couple days before he returned my car, my friend was driving in an old part of town where there's almost never any traffic. He came to a stop sign, but he didn't come to a complete stop. Instead he just slowed down. Well it turns out that a local cop was nearby and noticed. He was too far away to see who was driving, but the cop saw my license plate and wrote the ticket. Not wanting to chase me down, the cop mailed the ticket to me instead.
