This makes Sectopods kinda scary now.

I have enough difficulty as it is, who is this mod made for?

Seriously, are your soldiers immune to damage and aim misses at 99%?
adoport2 18 Nov, 2023 @ 6:16pm
Killed my best specialist and rendered the rest of the squad shaken. 10/10 would recommend.
The doulaliyi 22 Sep, 2023 @ 12:33pm
Imagine combining this with the praetorian sectopods which makes the normal sectopod look like a joke.
John Fortress II 27 May, 2023 @ 1:55pm
'lol' said the sectopod 'lmao'
MildlyInsaneCajunMan 14 Apr, 2023 @ 2:34pm
I have experienced so much pain with this mod. Mostly cause, 90% of the time when there's one on a mission, there's another one just out of site. Waiting. Waiting for the moment when I'm close to turning the tide. Then the second one comes and all hope is lost.

i downloaded this mod as part of a larger collection and hoo boy, I would NOT have gone to Shen's mission before I even had access to magnetic weapons. it was the first time i did that mission and when the game served a sectopod with 100 health and 7 armour while my poor spark had like 2 hp left i realised there is no way i could do this legit.

needless to say, i decided to use console commands to kill him and move on cause i was NOT about to go through this mission again. this is a mod for people who just want pain.

There is a difference between buffing an enemy to be in line with more powerful beasts, and THIS

This, I approve of in a masochistic "I wanna feel pain" way.

I hate these things so much. Love mod, but f### these things. Had one too many on a mission and lost some brave souls. I can indeed, without a doubt say that they are indeed very angry sectopods.

Im not even installing that mod, but I must say that the description preview popup made me laugh so hard I have to step by and place my greets and grats :cozydarkseer:
adoport2 28 Oct, 2021 @ 3:45am
I fear no man... But that thing... (*cue angy sectopod flashback*) It scares me.
Cynikaj 18 Dec, 2019 @ 1:54am
I liked this mod until I had 7 of them show up as reinforcement... 7 sectopods with 10 armor and 130 hp each was brutal. Fun though.
CoffeeMania 29 Aug, 2019 @ 2:19pm
I have so many new enemies mods that i rarely see a sectopod, and I've managed to formulate a strategy to the custodians. Time to ramp things up!
Noob Train 1 Aug, 2019 @ 10:51am
I agree with the armor increase but not the HP increase. They have plenty of HPs. 90 HPs plus increased aim means lots of soldier deaths. Sectopods already get 3 actions per turn. If they don't move they can fire 3 times per turn.

The new abilities are cool. If I use this I'll have to tone down a few things in the INI. Most of the mods I use make the game harder, not easier. So the default config of this mod is over the top for my game.

SPLIT IT WIDE OPEN

Do you have a version of this mod for gatekeepers? I think our big, flying pokeballs deserve some love as well don't you all? (especially removal of bluescreen and emp vulnerability, it's a big brain not a robot ffs).
initium 6 Jul, 2019 @ 5:02pm
This is a great mod. Much more in keeping with the narrative of this unit being a bad ass.
One word of warning to those that intend to play this mod. The armor buff to 12 means your capacitor discharge does only 2 damage.
To keep this in line with the game you need to alter the XComGameData_WeaponData.ini and change the capacitor settings so it has armor pierce to by pass the additional armor. Armor is a physical protection rather than a electrical protection.
It's totally up to you if you do this. This is just a heads up. Enjoy =)

The best way to play with this mod is to forget it is installed and then suffer the consequences
♥♥♥♥ 18 Feb, 2019 @ 7:21pm
That description is so accurate to my experience accept that I modded mine to death, either the game or my pc can't even load this thicc whore.
The Wriggler 15 Feb, 2019 @ 9:17am
Really makes it feel a lot more like something that could annihilate most of Earth's ground forces than the shitty AT-ST that was the original.
ArchFlameAx7 17 Jan, 2019 @ 7:33pm
is the boss of shens last gift effected?
Assault Unicorn 6 Jan, 2019 @ 5:15pm
Here's an important question: does it affect Prime Sectopods from ABA?
Muse 15 Dec, 2018 @ 12:03pm
Can you increase the level in which these guys show up? Having a lot of enemy mods DOES make the sectopod weak, but making it stronger but still showing up early on just adds frustration, especially when combined with the mods that cause the problem of it being weak.
Aaewen 9 Dec, 2018 @ 10:00pm
Maybe not now, I still love my life. But added to favorite in case I feel like suicidal and need this mod.
HeadHunter996 2 Nov, 2018 @ 4:43pm
Oh I pity the poor bastareds that have to bring these down, bluescreen rounds not useless now
Claus  [author] 25 Oct, 2018 @ 7:40pm
@Nadarith: I've no idea what that mod is, but probably. I don't do anything to the stances or their bonuses or whatever
THE COUCH MAN 25 Oct, 2018 @ 4:17pm
Killed 60% of my A team and the VIP in one mission

10/10
Nadarith 25 Oct, 2018 @ 6:14am
is this compatible with Sectopod Stance Bonuses?
Ro-TST 18 Oct, 2018 @ 8:35am
Even if it had normal mobility and no health regen, it would still pose a huge challenge. This is more like trying to break down a brick wall with your head... and I mean that in a complimentary way. Nice work! XD
The Eels Are Triumphant 18 Oct, 2018 @ 12:24am
Suggestion for the future, if I dare: Do the Avatar. Turn it into something final-boss-worthy.
What's An Airport? 16 Oct, 2018 @ 7:12pm
Now I want to have a mission in vanilla, but it's just one of these super sectopods and nothing else.
Almathgrt 15 Oct, 2018 @ 3:16am
My samurai killed sectopod in one blow. Thank you for making it impossible now)
jonjonmd 15 Oct, 2018 @ 2:46am
run forrest.. run!! (I have a ranger named forrest gump)
T'erissk 14 Oct, 2018 @ 10:59am
You evil evil man! ^^;
che_lovek 14 Oct, 2018 @ 7:36am
Wow, just yesterday I was thinking "damn, sectopod in no longer that fearfull machine of destruction it used to be in vanilla", and now I find this mod. Thanks for the mod
dmc32 13 Oct, 2018 @ 9:33am
You seriously buffed the Sectopoid! Self-repair is sick is that allowed in gaming with large mechanical beast :steamhappy: looks very challenging.
Flamingcheesepie 12 Oct, 2018 @ 8:16pm
Any possibility on doing something to make this work with ABA - more specifically, to buff Sectopod Primes?
Faleap 12 Oct, 2018 @ 2:06pm
I see #MakeSectopodsTerrifyingAgain was a successs, can we also get a somewhat less extreme buff for gatekeepers?

I ask because I'm actually using this without mods that add enemies, although I have one that buffs Avatars heavily. I want to have scary boss fights late game like EW sectopods again. Now I do, but gatekeepers are still untouched.

Keep up the great work!
Mice 12 Oct, 2018 @ 11:39am
oh HELL yeah
Jersee 12 Oct, 2018 @ 10:06am
Any plan on letting us modify the health and armor via mod config menu? That would be neat.
Coley 12 Oct, 2018 @ 9:39am
Wonder if anyone will end up porting the sectopod from EW. I kind of miss them.
Marol 12 Oct, 2018 @ 6:27am
YOU'VE GONE MAD
Coley 12 Oct, 2018 @ 5:09am
All we need now is for wrath cannon to be a single action, rather than waiting for the next turn, and it'll be perfect. Nevertheless, I like the adjustments. Thanks for the mod Claus!

Regards.
Rod Manmuscle 11 Oct, 2018 @ 11:29pm
My only gripe is that 4 HP per turn sounds pathetically low for an endgame enemy that's not going to live for more than a few turns anyways, even rookies on Gatecrasher can deal more than that. Try something like 10 HP per turn instead.
2Scribble 11 Oct, 2018 @ 9:48pm
Is this like spooky scary skeletons?
Green Raven 11 Oct, 2018 @ 7:59pm
You are a truly sick individual :)
L. Strauss 11 Oct, 2018 @ 7:55pm
Suffering IS fun. I just didnt know it. As it turns out, 2 or even 3 of these damn death robots will quite literally slaughter your squad. Ya just cant kill the buggers.
