Not sure if this is just me, but i notice that when i use the Warden advance / slash the game can freeze for like 10-20 seconds depending on how far from initial location the attack is. Not sure if this is happening to anyone else or just me.

Assuming I want to use commands to make a certain character a warden (MakeSoldierAClass), would the warden class be called anything else to plug into that command? "Warden" doesn't seem to work.

For anyone messing with the config file for allowing weapons, keep in mind that many of the Warden's abilities list its melee attack as using its secondary weapon. I'm not well-versed enough in editing them to know if they apply to primary melee weapons additionally or no, but just in case.

This class is easily one of my favorites. Balanced without feeling overpowered, and their potential really unlocks as they rank up, as a soldier should. I've run this in multiple campaigns so far and continually enjoy what's available here. It's so much fun combining Warden's Advance with stuff like Warden's Tide to shut down enemies if they're close, like a powerful Flashbang, or go Winding into another shot, even Unbalance.

Is there any way to change the cost of the guerilla school upgrade for legend difficulty? It only costs 75 when it should be 200.

@Teldron706 You can actually do that yourself in the Config File. If you´re using the AML (as you should) simply click on the Warden mod, got to Config and choose the XcomClassData.ini. There you look for a line like:

AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, WeaponType="bullpup")

and just copy+paste that line again but replace bullpup with pistol into the quotations, save that and there you go, now your warden should be allowed to use pistols or whatever else you write in there. In case you want them to use pistols as a secondary weapon just add this line:

AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon, WeaponType="pistol")

How can you tell which stance your soldier is in? I don't see a way to tell the info of abilities on bottom left of the screen.

I'm absolutely loving this class, but there's one thing i would love to do for a Mass Effect playthrough, and i was curious if there's any way i can allow this class to wield pistols. Maybe edit the ini file or something? Anyone that can help?

This is one of the classes currently glitching my rpgo. how do i prevent it from being considered a base class along with universal soldier? Is it possible to edit this in the .ini

Disable Any Class does not currently work to fix this and breaks the game

At Squaddie, it matters because the Warden can't shoot in Defensive. You can shoot then slash, but you can't slash then shoot.

Wow, really nice class! A game changer, thanks! Still looking into the changing of the stances and action points have not got that down yet, but it seems pretty easy to figure. Lot of thought went into this class interesting concepts. Very good graphics as well.

Pretty powerful if doing a glaive/axe/sword build. Its a very good hit and run/anti melee defense mid-late ranks.

@The LDs Every ability that changes stances has "activates Ebb and Flow" in their description. Everytime you change stances you'll see purple psionic energy washing over your character turning into orange.

As to how to tell which stance you are in: You don't have access to ranged attacks in defensive (save for 1 which is a colonel level ability). So your ability bar will slightly change according to which stance you are in, for example you will not see your standard ranged shot (or Winding etc) if you are in Defensive Stance. Same goes for Offensive stance and defensive stance only abilities.

I don't know what went wrong but it felt more like a gimped skill tree than something i could make use of. Might just be me. I probably missed important info somewhere. But it felt really weird trying to use the class. THe most use i got from it was mostly the stat boost and bulpup. Free hits from afar, even crits.

Excellent mod. I especially appreciate the new special effects and how well they integrate into the game. It's also lore friendly, and plausible that psi powers would manifest in diverse ways among humans trained differently - just like it does for aliens and Templars.

My only suggestion would be to create unique weapons for them, to make the class unique in all ways. Perhaps reskin the Archon staff and use it as a shooting weapon and a spear simultaneously. We have no equivalent weapon in the Vanilla roster.

Very interesting class. I don't like the class icon, though, because it's so different from the other class icons. The effects are very nice, though.

Still, I would certainly use it in my playthrough. But already having so many melee and close range options in WOTC makes this less attractive.

@Californiadreaming Alright, since those are weapons added by other mods you are looking for their "weapon category" to add them. There are a few different ways you can go about finding that out:

-First is obviously ask the person who made the mod what the weapon category is

-Keep guessing what the correct naming is

-Or you can delve into their files and find it out yourself. I've typed up a short tutorial on how to do that in the discussions. Check the second half of the last post here
