I think it is in the works
There is also a new mod that might integrate these parts in a future version: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1743423205

It streamlines the craftables and adds accessories, as well as armor pieces for more animals. My goal is to eventually support all vanilla animals.
(you might want to add a normal zoomed in picture and not that super close up one as the first image with the text, at least for me it looks a bit pixelated)
Now I'm going back to my own game to play with it :)
Thanks!
You can texture patch it or also just take this mods XML content and make your own version with your textures in it - I don't mind. I kind of reached the limit of mods to maintain at this point, which is why I haven't updated this one in a while - I will try to update the before mentioned stats this weekend, so you have that base stuff in it.

Dylan are you be interested implementing these into your mod, or opposed to me releasing a texture patch separately? I still need to add textures for Black, Palomino, and Quarter horses. (maybe ACP, but I don't use that mod)
Apart from this, I wanted to tell you a little carelessness, in case you want to change it for a new version. What I have seen, mainly the material of the horse armor does not influence the statistics of the object. Therefore, neither at the time of fixing a price, the same value being an armor of a very expensive material, or one of the cheapest. This would not be a problem, if they could not be recycled by obtaining at least 75 materials. Being able to be exploited to trade in search of materials.
For the rest I love watching my horses roam in armor from one side to another.
