Thank you for hosting this for us!

For anyone that wants a replacement, I also have made something similar here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2014652560

Sorry - haven't really played RimWorld since before the 1.0 release so maintaining a mod that I wasn't the original author of isn't really something I've got the energy for right now. From what I recall, Lee didn't appear to have any issue with someone maintaining an updated version of his work, so if anyone else wants to start maintaining it, go for it. (crediting him as the original author, of course)

please update the tag

Please update the About.xml into 1.1 standards so the errors go away. ^_^

Works fine with 1.1, doesn't seem to break anything
LordQarlyn 1 Mar, 2020 @ 10:54am
Seriously! Floor lamps suck lol. 1.1 please!

I love this mod. I can't go back to clunky floor lamps. Will there be an update for 1.1?

1.1 update?

1.1 update?

Best used with some manual balance tweaks, since this is superior to the vanilla lamp in every way: 10 steel vs. 20 steel, 20 power vs. 30 power, a huge glow radius of 30 vs. 14, and doesn't require floor space or slow pawns walking over it. I edited the xml to match the standing lamp in my game and it fits a bit better.

Great. I think I'd like it better if there was a nearly invisible graphic of a light hanging down.
Other_Olly 4 Jul, 2019 @ 1:08pm
I like that these are invisible after they are placed.

@Apollo Jackson is there any chance you can add in colored ceiling lights. I have been able to add it into the script successfully but I would prefer it coming from the mod as default.
Dosboy 6 Mar, 2019 @ 5:00pm
This is very SWEET. It is invisible and REALLY lights up the room. Great work!

This has to be one f my top 5 favorite mods. Can you provide some kind of icon for the plaxement o the lights? It can be very transparent but I do feel we need to see / know where the lights are witboit turning on the power overlay.
Other_Olly 14 Nov, 2018 @ 11:22am
Can these be built on the same tile as other furniture?
ChinoPinto 2 Nov, 2018 @ 4:09pm
Yeah, yeah, that was it... lol just checked.
moved it from the bottom to the top a few spots under "JecsTools" lol.
ChinoPinto 2 Nov, 2018 @ 4:01pm
Well thank you, I appreciate the responce! However not finding it wasnt the issue... The icon literally isn't in any of my tabs. Even with god mode on, it wouldn't pop up anywhere. Sorry for the miscommunication...
Could load order be a cause?
Apollo Jackson  [author] 2 Nov, 2018 @ 1:22am
@ChinoPinto
It's under furniture - added a screenshot above that points out its icon.

@Mr. Giggles
I recall in B18 and B19 that you could see the lights as pink circles when you were laying down conduit. (or whatever) Not sure if that was from another mod I had at the time, but it doesn't appear to be the case anymore. Haven't actually played since 1.0 came out, but when I find some time to setup my mods for the new version, I'll take a look.
Mr. Giggles 1 Nov, 2018 @ 8:20pm
I wish there was some kind of texture so you can see the object. I have switched lights off and forgot they existed and built more down the line not realising it. Still a fantastic mod though.
ChinoPinto 29 Oct, 2018 @ 8:51pm
I cant seem to find the celing lights in any tabs, if anyone knows anything that might help I'd like to know.

Thanks

Best mod for RimWorld hands down
cappie 27 Oct, 2018 @ 6:14am
.. oh, and power use please..
cappie 27 Oct, 2018 @ 6:14am
Some more info on how they work and a screenshot with the electrical layout would be really helpful and make me more likely to install it...

Are those "real" ceiling lights? Can you place stuff under them?
Apollo Jackson  [author] 21 Oct, 2018 @ 11:25am
Literally just dropped it on a map, checked for errors, and assumed nothing needed changing. Thanks for pointing that out.
Luinithil 21 Oct, 2018 @ 5:59am
Hi, I think you need to update the XML defs a bit: BBulletImpactGround is now BulletImpact_Ground; similarly BulletImpactMetal is now BulletImpact_Metal
