nearly all units are invisible when zoomed out, makes it unplayable.
but for me this one is by far the best looking troops for ToB.
würd mich mega freue.
i tryed it by myself but i am not a modder and at my limits.
ps: i use a strong gaming laptop with geforce rtx 4060
Regarding the jomsviking unit added to the sea vikings, I can recruit the hersir ones, but i can't see the regular ones. How does one unlock them ?
Thanks !
No unfortunately not. Such unit-size-increase mods do only change the vanilla units and not the custom units.
Unfortunately I guess this is not possible.
Do you have the possibility to integrate this mod:
Historical Cities and Landmarks, into yours?
Unfortunately I don't know how to edit the startpos to have 12 turns per year. Check www.totalwarcenter.net , as there are for sure tutorials.
Would it be possible for you to explain how to modify your mod in order to put some of the new units into other factions rosters please ? The VA factions feel a bit bland and i'd love to give them some more troops.
Thanks !
Cheers
At the moment aren't any new units planned and due to our limited time, we stopped further modding at the moment.
Do you intend to create some units for Northymbre/east anglia some day ? :)
Thank you for your work.
Yes certain units need to be unlocked via technologies. Please read the section UNIT INFORMATION above.
Thanks !
Unfortunately I never merged two startpos files and this can be tricky. And at the moment due to my real life work I got no time for modding or even playing.
what i am trying to do is make a file that can be used alongside the unlocker make 3 different ones as they all have different start pos file in it
Unfortunately this would be a huge effort to get a faction unlocker inside our mod and it isn't clear if it fully works afterwards.
there a faction unlocker for attila named forgotten realms but modder no longer active
Yes exactly it is annoying for players and for us modders, that the Modding System in TOB is like it is. As soon as one mod changes the startpos.esf file (Main Campaign) file then it isn't compatible anymore with other mods which do the same. The faction unlocker should work for custom battles. But you need to deactivate it again if you play campaigns and this each time.
just be good to have better rosters for factions that are unlocked
this is the unlocker im using think it contains vanilla stuff
Yes these zooming in-out issues are known. I can't fix that. Only Aguirre can do this. Unfortunately this happens not for all players so it's hard to say why it happens on some players PCs.
I don't know if it even works with a faction unlocker. If the faction unlocker changes the startpos.esf file (main campaign) file, then it is not compatible.
@Wolves
It is not compatible with any big gameplay or overhaul
- fully compatible with the current game version
- adapted to the normal vanilla version
- can be used with other mods which use the vanilla balance
shields patterns different when zooming in and out can faction in a faction unlocker get these units
they apper in recruitment panel though not had chance to recruit in my last campaign
Yes unfortunately some players experience these missing body parts if zoomed out. But not all players have this issue, so it's hard to find out what's wrong.
@sam.pidgeon
No this mod doesn't replace any other vanilla units or custom units.
Thanks a lot for your nice words. The big fame goes to my friend Aguirre who created all the visuals. I'm just the tech guy behind the mod that it works.
Basically we don't plan to add new units to our mod, as we are both heavily involved in our real-life jobs.
Yes they appear all in the custom battle roster.
@wm.j.olson
Ok I will investigate this recruitment issue. I didn't happened to my campaign.
I use different unlocker with your unit pack now hoping that when I get a chance to recruit one of your Saxon units I can train them as one of the other English kingdoms one towards Northumbria faction
You need to research a late Melee technology:
> Jomsviking Hersir
Dyflin, Sudreyar
vik_mil_melee_5
Please check the discussion thread above "UNIT INFORMATION". I described there very detailed which unit can be recruited by which faction.
Yes if the faction unlocker works with Radious mods, then it should work also with our mod. But our mod is balanced to vanilla unit stats and costs. You could probably use it with Radious mods, but without any guarantee that it works flawlessly. Give it a try.
the faction unlocker modder says radious is compatible well the units he made i think only work in custom battle not able to train them in campaign
