I have finally gotten animations OUT of Total War games, so people can edit them and put them back in the game My program RigidModel Editor 1.0, that can do those things will be released as soon as correct the last few bugs. It can do lots of thingd, including drawing the models with textures, lighting normal mapping, so they look like in-game.

It is the plan to change ALL shields, and make 2 versions, one for people with lots of Video RAM, and on for people with less.

@everone: I am currently working on the textures of the armor and shields of the soldiers, making 2K HD textures for them all, what soliders and what gear, from which campaign (Grand Campaign/Cæsar/Augustus, ROTR, Empire Divided, etc.) do YOU think I should start with?
Which soliders are the most important? It is going to be a very long process, so I wish to start with the ones that most people want upgraded. It not even sure, that I will finish this massive project, but I at least want to try :)

@everyone I will be very happy to make a MOD that updates ALL (or the most important) swords in Rome 2 to 1-2K HD and of course make them look a lot better.

I just need to know which are the most urgent, and also at first from the same campaign if possible (Grand Campaign, or Imperator Augustus, or Cæsar in Gaul, etc.).

Btw about immersion breaking, I think personally that the original circel markers look very video gamey (and very immersion breaking), and thet do not give any info on which way the soliders are headed at all. I use this myself when I play. I used to use the triangle mod, but I made this for myself because I thought the markers from Warhammer looked cool.

But if all you could pick some simple mod that just changed a simple visual thing that had nothing do to with game behaviour what woud it be? If enough of you have the a similar wish then I will make it, or at least try to. I am right now changes all the low resolution tiles/pavements under cities/settlements, gonna make my HD cities look a lot better. Mine is hi res one, the color might be a bit off still, but I am getting there...

Admiral Fox: Is it meant to be visually appealing, if one really wants to get rid of all video gamey things, then you can use the "k" button that diabled all, but it is very hard to nagivate a battlefield like that all the the time. But thanks :)

Anyway, back to the mod, compare to your other selection markers mod, this one is has more aesthetic feeling to it despite some claim it as immersion breaking in which I don't mind actually. Also, when zooming out, at least now I can see where are my soldiers are facing. I like both of your mod, but for 'minimalist' approach and less immersion breaking, I do think the other one provides it. This one looks more appealing to me, but if I want less clutter, I prefer the other one.

Great job on doing both and this is a nice mod. Now I get to choose on which style I want.

I does NOT look very good without the lttle triagnle, it is there to provide some continuity from the guy in the back. The original concencentric cicrcles look REALLY video-gamey, I think these are good because they actual convey use info, from up high fx you can see with ways you mean ar turned and on pause which way they are walking.

Your selection marker gives a modern feel to the units. Maybe it would break immersion for too many people.
I think you could greatly improve it by removing the smaller second arrow in a triangle shape altogether, leaving only the hollow arrow.

A lot of people come in here but never try the mod, I assume that is because they dont like how it looks on the pictures. What can I can do to make it more appealing?
