I can't find where to configure this mod...
TheMinotar137 23 Dec, 2022 @ 12:29pm
i set the default to 1 with a 100% chance but my squadies didnt get any extra AP :(

@Drakten
If you leave default config alone it will award points for Rank's 7 & 8 as intended.
Drakten 1 May, 2020 @ 9:14pm
This seems broken if you're playing with Brigadier ranks. I modified the *.ini, changing maxrank=7 to 8, and every month I get crazy amounts of AP with no soldiers at Brigadier rank yet. I think the mod doesn't recognize maxrank other than 1-7 and switches any other number to 1.

I changed it to 100% chance and rank 4 but they didn't get any extra AP after the mission?

I just completed a WOTC campaign with 104 mods including this one. It all went well. This is one of my favourite mods.

It is WOTC only and compatible with all currently released DLCs.
Lumiere 2 Sep, 2019 @ 1:23pm
is this wotc compatible? Or is there a version that is?

I don't quite get this mod. I am never prompted when my soldier goes on missions, do I know when they get bonus AP ?

@PM_Zigg Price
Between these two, if used with 'out of the box' settings Soldier Development will lead to far stronger soldiers overall IMO. Soldier Develop will provide a steady source of stat gains and the end of mission rewards on Excellent and Flawless missions (as in no one died, a goal every Commander is striving to achieve anyway) will lead to steady increases of AP from both the XCOM AP pool and the squad Combat Int.

This mod 'out of the box' only grants tAP to soldiers who are already max rank and even then only to the individual soldiers AP pool on a chance per mission based on their Combat Int.

I've never tried RPGO myself so I'm not sure if it changes soldiers ranks or not. But if it uses the vanilla ranks then After Max Level is the less OP of the two. Hope this helps.

When comparing this mod vs Soldier Development mod, which do people feel is better for handling advancement after max rank? I don't want something that is incredibly OP. I am using RPGO, if that makes a difference in the answer.
The Guy with Lag 21 Feb, 2019 @ 12:19am
so it is overflow AP.. we already have that mod

alternative mod launcher flagging a conflict between this mod and [WotC] RW Better Mission Result Based Autoadjusting Difficulty.

"UIMissionSummary" it says, but you say no class overrides here, in the overrides list in the launcher it says he's doing a class override and you're doing a screen listener. Does this mean they can both work with proper load order (and what would that be) or do I have to disable one? Thanks
Stallion 27 Dec, 2018 @ 8:30pm
Thank you for your mod!

The RPGO mod makes normal soldiers have a max rank of 8 but hero soldiers a max rank of 7. Is it possible to seperate hero soldiers and normal soldiers in the config file so that those of us playing with RPGO can have both gain at their respective max ranks?
iKI10  [author] 10 Nov, 2018 @ 10:34pm
@Dawnpromise, 2 is Corporal rank. So your soldier will have a chance to get APs starting from Corporal and highter.
Dawnpromise 9 Nov, 2018 @ 10:31pm
Question: If I set MAXRANK to lower number does that make the chance for bonus AP trigger on soldiers at lower ranks?

Say for example if I set it 2 would my squaddies have a chance to gain bonus AP after missions?
d_valroth 9 Nov, 2018 @ 2:23pm
Damn. This plus RPGO makes for some crazy battle gods, since you can use the limitless AP on stats and every perk you could ever want.
Uniter of the Elements 8 Nov, 2018 @ 2:25am
>personal AP

gotta subscribe

iKI10  [author] 7 Nov, 2018 @ 11:13pm
About any custom ranks and classes. There is setting called MAXRANK in config. Default is 7, which mean base game Colonel rank. If you have mod, that add ranks above 7, bonus still applies at 7 rank and higher. So you probably must change this value in config to make it work with your mod as it meant to work.
iKI10  [author] 7 Nov, 2018 @ 11:08pm
It is WOTC only and compatible with all currently released DLCs.
iKI10  [author] 7 Nov, 2018 @ 11:06pm
It adds personal ability points depending on soldier combat intelligence. This is the difference between Overflow Ability Points.
Uniter of the Elements 7 Nov, 2018 @ 9:09pm
Just so we're clear, will this add to a soldier's personal Ability Points pool or the shared XCOM pool?
花兔 7 Nov, 2018 @ 8:17pm
Overflow Ability Points?
yes_commander 7 Nov, 2018 @ 6:09pm
Same question as endersblade. Actually, answers to all of the previous questions would be worth knowing.
Viper 7 Nov, 2018 @ 4:03pm
How does this differ from Overflow Ability Points?
endersblade 7 Nov, 2018 @ 3:21pm
Is this compatible with RPGO that introduces Brigadier rank?
Rogue11 7 Nov, 2018 @ 3:17pm
Sounds interesting, if I could ever keep a campaign going long enough to have colonels lol. Does this work with all of the DLC's as well (WOTC)?
