There is another mod called "system infiltration", that lets soldiers use the "system infiltration" ability to reduce the target's hack defense. Specialists can use the Gremlin to do this to help improve hack chances with Haywire Protocol.
Though, apparently with this mod, on at least on occasion, using the system infiltration ability counts as a "failed hack," and ends up leaving you worse off.
I never noticed this before I think, because I don't think failed hacks with this mod affect advent surveillance towers. But they do affect robots targeted with Haywire.
I had a worse chance to hack the Sectopod Hunter *after* a system infiltration than before :(. It was 46% before, 32% after.
It's still a fine mod, but they just don't seem to be compatible at the moment.
