anyway to make the cavalry slower rather then them going 0-60mph in 0.5 seconds

That refers to the bloody battles mod btw, as it increases the penetration and damage for quicker fights, even though the animations looked really good :)

@ RogueMX, Your issue may of been caused by this as I have just noticed that you cannot use the following with Longer battles mod - Please note this sub mod is ONLY compatible with Wars of the Gods mod. Also this mod is not compatible with Longer Battles or Super Slaughter sub mods.

Most of my mods are on Total War Center for Empire, Napoleon and Shogun 2 and all have longer battle lengths

As far as I could tell, they are all compatible. I've had 60 minute sieges easily more than once, its more about how quickly the men are cut down when they're all engaged. I just feel like when I send for example a unit of Principes to fight, they'll be dead or broken within 1 minute or so unless they are somehow outmatching the enemy (not often). To be fair, in my campaign most enemies I'm fighting seem to have rank 3-6 units and their stats are usually a lot better (suebian sword masters O.O). I can honestly say I've never been more challenged.....needing multiple stacks to take each region.

rogueMX - becareful as some of the mods are not compatible together, please cross check on each of them....I just had a 45 min battle albeit it was a siege!!

RogueMX - There is something wrong here as melee fights should be much longer than that? They should average 12-15 minutes on lowers settings and even higher times on harder settings?

Thanks for the mod! I'm playing as Rome on Ultra unit size but I still feel like the battles go WAY too fast. Projectiles are extremely strong and melee fights are over very quickly. With 40+ unit battles, I don't feel like theres enough time to manage all my troops or appreciate any of the melee fights as they're over so fast. I'd say once fighting actually starts, its all over within 5 or so minutes

Just curious if theres an easy way, like some sort of global health modifier, that I could modify to slow the battle down even more. Primarily, I'd like to make units not get killed off so quickly. Thank you in advance

The ai needs needs room to manouver-if it can get around your position it will-if you corner camp-that is an "exploit"- play the battle on the same terms as the ai-no exploits-then it will give as good as it get and you will see the full potential of Bran battle settings.

Mathewpaulmarkel - cavalry do not charge into pikes, never seen that happen in this mod. Units are massively overhauled on stats so all factions are different. Are you sure you do not have another mod activated that is causing problems? 15 turns is way too early to give feedback. Continue playing and let us know after 60 turns.

played about 15 turns, I have the the more passive ai mod on. I must say this is the best ai I have ever seen in total , have from rome 1 to warhammer 1. Even with the passive ai, the ai is much more aggressive and act more like player. Many wars happening. The battles are slightly better, the ai still isnt the brightest but slightly better. The worst thing I have seen is the ai calvary charging into pikes or defensive placeable and getting deleted. Also, a lot of the units feel the same. I do really like the mod and appreciate the time u put into it. I will def finish the at least one playthrough. Playing Egypt want to try rome. I also like the harsh penality on public order, its slows down the game. I like the idea of pop and pop classes like dei, it might be here in a sub mod. Very good, thanks for the mod.

Truly wish we could revert back to 2003 when the admins were good guys and we could discuss total war games instead of the site now becoming a Social Media site!!

I opened your file with the PFM, and the only file you have included is the KV_rules_table and you cant control unit sizes from there. Perhaps steam gave me a bad download?

Larger unit sizes with full stacks. Full stacks. The mod is to be played with ultra unit sizes as we enlarged heavy infantry sizes by 15%.
