P.S. it seems some mods dont ever need updates, cuz new content dosent change anything they touch, which most often true for cosmetic ones.
Usually the people asking for an update don't even bother testing. They see it says out of date on the launcher and rush to demand an update. Most mods the launcher says "out of date" for still work fine.
Would maybe make sense for some factions (undead, skaven, gs) It felt weird that lizardmen would shatter so easily. Makes me worry that this will just turn the mod will just become a game of "snipe the lord to win". Perhaps turn it back halfway? Most of the other fixes I can think of would be unit edits (improved leadership bonus's from heros, more units having disiplined trait, etc) which would be too much work/ introduce incompatibility issues. I do like the concept, but feel like the current penalty is too strong.
Perhaps increasing the bonus for values like "flanks secure" and "currently winning combat"?
Games still better with this mod than without, just trying to be constructive, thanks again for the efforts!
Good stuff, I'll test it later tonight to see how the morale loss affects the troops
You are also right that historically, the general dying or abandoning their own army would have much more of a morale penalty than what is in the game, and in the case of vampires especially, if the commander dies then there is nobody left to keep the zombies alive.
I implemented your suggestion and it is now updated. Thank you.
While with the living armies, considering the lord is the one that is somehow issuing orders, not hearing from him in a while during the battle may panic the men who may eventually catch on to the fact he is already dead
You'll want a couple of dedicated "running down" units (hounds, light cav, etc)
then perhaps this game would not be a laughable P.O.S. even compared to other total war games including Empire:
Too bad WH2's trash tier unit battle AI is being actively hidden by Reddit white knights, thanks to them neither the devs or modders ever did a thing about that.
Not sure it is working as intended, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Two thumbs up for this little change that makes a big difference.
