jet pack (cosmetic) seems not to work with all my soldiers. some of them missing even i equipped them in the character indivudalsastion menu.

is this mod compatible with the metion heavy armor suit from claus (that amor has a special thruster to go on any part of the map which r open and visiable by one of ur teammates - so very similar to this mod function)

Jet Shot doesn't seem to work for some reason and i'm unsure why. Clear LOS to both enemy and the sky and yet when I use Jet Shot everything is greyed out. Tried a number of different soldiers and nothing works. Any ideas?

Ok I know I am extremely late for this, but I figured out what my issue from long ago was.
There is a mod conflict between EU aim rolls and this one. Basically it doesn't give the ''Height advantage'' Aim bonus it should and I don't know why it does this. Disabled EU aim rolls and this mods works again.

In the proving grounds every project seemingly states that it unlocks Booster Jets. I have already crafted some and it's still there.

First of all thank you for the mod, a must have in any playthrough.
A small request if possible can we get a retexture for the first jetpack in the list, it's very low quality an muddy.

Yes, I have at least one soldier equipped with a booster jet armor on the Avenger. (Tested this with an EXVENT Officer and a regular soldier, both failed)

In order for dynamic deployment to work, you need to leave soldiers equipped with booster jets on the Avenger, is that what you did?

Just gonna bump this here for potential notice, but for some reason, the Dynamic Deployment ability is not showing up on anyone. This is even with soldiers equipped with booster jets (using the Armor Upgrade version, so booster jets equipped on armor), and setting the config to allow for soldiers above max squad size limit.

I have the Dynamic Deployment GTS purchased as well.

I've been searching around for something to replace XCOM 1 Archangel armor, surprised no one has ported it standalone. The Psi Ops mod has an enemy that does it, but I guess no one has figured out how to do flying controls like the original?

The Jet Shot ability works mechanically like the archangel armor of course, but I miss the flight movement and dogfighting with floaters...

Same as most of my mods, and most content mods in general, it's not compatible with LWOTC out of the box, and requires Mod Jam.

I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this, but if anyone is using LWOTC, you have to go to XComJetPacks.ini and add:

+SHOOTING_ABILITIES_ALLOWED_WHILE_FLYING=LightEmUp

Or you won't be able to shoot with your ranger while using Jet Shot. I'm a little embarrassed to say it took me quite some time to realize why my ranger couldn't shoot when he engaged the jets.

Also, if you engage Jet Shot and cancel it as an LWOTC Ranger, I've noticed that Ever Vigilant won't trigger. Is that by design?

In theory yes, in practice I'm not gonna bother. You can't even purchase DLC separately anyway, and if you don't like the Alien Hunters content, you don't have to engage with it. Just enable the DLC mission and never go on it.

Man, so I ADORE this mod but I've been trying to figure out- how hard would it be to "merge" the jetpack with some of the torso gear it replaces, like when you equip it on a Skirmisher? I'd love to have that 'shoulder straps' effect to make it look like say, the type B or type C gear is holding the pack on.

Tried everything except one thing the mod's description is telling you is required... Yes, you need to equip booster jets to use dynamic deployment with this mod. Or ise the standalone Dynamic Deployment mod.

@Iridar thanks so much for the prompt attention but, I'm still getting the malus from UnitHeightDisadvantagePenalty, even after the update of Oct 29. :( Tried resubbing this mod + resetting my config files, no luck. The only other thing I can think of is starting a whole new game but I don't think that should affect it? I have started new tactical engagements to check.

To clarify, since my initial report had some confusing wording:

I'm getting the malus whenever JetShot is activated, regardless of my elevation in relation to the target. Your changelog mentions height disadvantage when below target, but I still get the malus even if I'm level with my target. Fwiw I took a screen to show what I'm seeing. [imgur.com]

Potential BUG: Specialist equips Elerium Jetpack -> Engage Jet Shot -> Sonic Boom ability gets disabled (despite mentioning synergy with Jet Shot in its tool tip) -> Disengage Jet Shot -> Sonic Boom becomes available again
