Updated today, limited testing and QA spent with this as the I don't have the latest building pack Below&Beyond DLC yet.

@BylliGoat what are you seeing exactly? Would blocking out the personnel icons on the buildings pane not result in production at all?

Automation doesn't seem to be working anymore. Everything still requires colonists.

I did a small work around by placing a dome schematic nearby, halting the build and then building the poly factory and removing the schematic

Yea I understand that. I just find the research from the extra power breakthrough scales a little too slowly for my liking. A separate mod would be a perfect compromise.

@Emmote - I wanted to avoid this as it makes sense to me that humans do research on Mars, instead of manning the grocery shop. I could look into a separate mod on this - would that be acceptable for you?

Would it be possible to add a Research Automation feature to allow research buildings to work at 50% without colonists?
I feel it's really the only thing missing from this mod.

I removed the dome and factory maintenance modifiers (for Mars Tidy Domes), figured it might cause a clash. Glad it's resolved, thank you so much for your feedback!

Hey. Thanks for putting work into it! For some reason I couldn't find this mod for a while on the workshop, maybe because of the update. But glad I found it now.
Just in time for a new playthrough. Will see if it works!

So I looked into this today and for the life of me can't reproduce it, I will take a look at the code, and clear it up, by what you are telling me, Mars Tidy Domes might be the issue here.

Yeah, RL first. Don't worry about it!

It may indeed be an inside buildings thing as I never encountered it on outside buildings. I have seen it mainly on the Machine Parts Factories and once or twice on the Electronics factories. Rebuilding does 'fix' the issue, but only until first or second fix. And it's hardly viable on the harder difficulties with few supplies from Earth.

So I encountered the maintenence bug for inside buildings. I.E. mech parts and electronics. Demolishing and rebuilding will at least reset the timer. But I have noticed sometimes they will fix the first time, but won't after that.

more info on the bug when I went lookng for it. the Maintanance meter did reset when serviced but would max out a second or two later and the drones would refuse to do maintanance again. I found a hit and miss work around by useing a mod to enable the request maintanance button. hitting that when the factory was around 45ish% and after rebuilding the factory once or twice useing this method the large factories, even new ones, would have no problems but small factories continue to show the bug in my save.

Thanks, Felix! No rush, I know how RL can be. I'll be happy with a No Man fix for now.

I like that your mod allows me to run 3 shifts per Sol in mines and factories, but I can decide to have one of those with human workers, for realism's sake.
All the other benefits that comes with No Man I don't -actually- need.

Basically I'd like to see these 3 in a single mod, or in a few seperate mods:
Drone Assembly automation – This research enables you to assemble drones without colonists at 50% production.

Factory automation - Similarly to Extractor AI, this enables you to run Polymer, Machine Parts and Electronics Factories (including the small ones) without colonists at 50% production.

Extractor AI: Metals Extractors and Rare Metals Extractors can work without crews at 50% performance.

@Oldstead66 I don't intend to abandon my mods!! Apologies, have been swamped lately and am not able to reproduce the issue outlined atm, should be able to jump on it this weekend. With the rebalance, I could throw together something that you want! Tell me what exactly you need and I'll throw a mix and match together tomorrow!

Re: my suggestion for 'balance'.
I noticed that you have most of this mod as stand-alone mods. So, I'd just happily take a standalone mod called 'Mining Automated' along with your Factory Automation, provided they are up to date. Or, just this mod with the maintenance fix if you can't be bothered. I'll just have to live with the other benefits ;)

Just encountered the Machine parts factory maintanance bug. I found it when I checked on my small machine parts factory to adjust shifts and the maintanance meter read as 100% Last serviced 2 hours ago. going by that I would say the bug is somewhere around when it tries to reset the maintanance value and it fails. I'll grab a screenshot if I can replicate it.

Confirmed this mod is the cause. I don't know what it's all about. Drones would happily repair water extractors and all other buildings. But noone would take the 2 electronic parts to the Machine Parts Factory. I wonder if the cause is the 2 Electronic parts ?

Hey Creator. I love this mod. If I were to offer some suggestion it would be to remove most of the 'free' bonuses to balance it more. Same with some of the late stage techs like Deep Scan. I love what the mod does however.

That aside, I think I've located a bug that kind of breaks the games I play. I've tried replicating it without your mod, but it didn't happen then. And it happens somewhat consistently when I try with your mod.
In short, drones seem to sometimes just not do, or stop doing, maintenance on my machine parts factory. Specifically this building, and I think once on the Electronics Facrory.
In my last playthrough I even bought more factories and scrapped the old ones, but the problem repeated itself.
I don't think there are other mods effecting yours but will make a playthough with this mod and none others, see if it happens again.

Nice collection. Because I tend to cram as many mods in as I can, my game has reached saturation point and won't load a new game.
With this mod I can swap out four other mods I was using.
