Old project dead for years; 173 did have working AI but I've no idea if it still functions at all.
Better SCP stuff elsewhere surely idk
The SCP-173 prop is under the props category, then inside that there's a nameless dropdown, and SCP-173 is there, or you can just search 173 in the props menu.
Definitely not ideal but this has been a more or less dead project from ages ago and I'm looking to entirely reboot it from the ground up at some point to do it right, prop still works though lol
Hey! I'm gonna be honest I had completely forgot about that, my mistake
@AlexRVA
I would love to have a fleshed out AI for 049, and I hope to explore that possibility further down the line. That said, for now I've focused on getting the 049 model and such finished, along with some other things I think are important for the next content update.
Check bottom of the description, there's a link to a mod that gives 173 some AI functionality. Though it's possible that it may have been affected by previous updates.
Of course, I don't know how possible this is with Arma 3's codebase
Many thanks for your support, hope you enjoy future updates!
Trust me when I say I would love to be that first person, and this mod isn't abandoned, I still work on it a couple times a week, time permitting.
That being said stuff like this does take a while, at least for me due to schooling and other commitments, but don't worry, this mod along with my other uploads, are still receiving attention. :)
Noone is safe
Awesome to hear! Many thanks :)
@Mushi82
It's definitely something I've considered, and something I will probably continue to consider, for now though I think I'd like to release an initial version of all the standalones. But after they're all out in a stable version I may very well take on extra hands for updates and such. :)
Agreed agreed!
For now my focus is going to be on the next standalone mod for this collection, which will be foundation equipment and such, but afterwards I do hope to push content for this mod :)
In the bottom of the description I've linked a separate mod that gives 173 some AI, though I don't know how it works with non-player targets, he may have mentioned it in his mod description, or you may have to test it out some.
@ivanzavr06
Currently, I'm working on another mod to go with the Arma Containment Breach collection, but after that's in a stable version and released I do hope to give this one my attention. :)
Oh! Yep sorry that's nothing wrong on your end, I had taken it down for the time being since I'm getting close to finishing a new mod that would change a lot of things for the foundation units, I'll put it back up for you, and leave it up until the changes are ready to be released :)
My apologies for the confusion
In a sense, yes they do, I'm not totally sure why, but this mod and the Music & Sounds Mod seem to interfere with each other, you *could* try changing the load order in the game launcher, but I don't think that'd change much.
This mod specifically, including SCP-173 is 100% due for a complete makeover and reupload in conjunction with the rest of the redux mods, but school and all that other fun stuff has really kept me busy lately, that being said, this is my final week, so hopefully I can really get cracking on it soon.
My apologies if you're having trouble, but in short there does seem to be an issue between the two mods when it comes to audio.
The visor helmet was from the older ArmSTALKER mod, I've not used that mod for a couple years though so I'm not sure of the name of the helmet or if things have been changed from when I last used it.
Unfortunately I can't give a solid date for ya right now, but I will outline that I'm going to be releasing a small series of mods that will all be used for the final culminating project. The first you can expect to see will be the Music & Sounds pack.
The reason I'm opting to do it this way is first, because I find I can stay organised better this way, and I figured if these are all going to be used for the big final project, there are bound to be some who'd rather just use, say the music, or the equipment, independently from the rest, similar to how the STALKER mod had a splinter that just included equipment.
Yeah it's definitely no secret the audio is janky as hell here, been wanted to revisit that for sometime and with the next update you can expect to see that reworked, or possibly release in a separate mod.
That makes sense. And as a suggestion, the music pack is nice but there's some that don't play at all like the 8 second audio file on SCP-173. I think some files of audio like announcements and such would work best as sounds rather than music files since music fits best for ambiance. I like using sounds to direct players on where the target or item of interest is located at; using the SCP-173 movement sound would help immersion a lot as a sound file where I could play the sound in a room to let players know of its presence nearby rather than having it play as a music file where the volume is static and not proximity like.
I personally don't have the know-how to make modules, however other creators have done some super impressive stuff with it, I'd suggest starting here:
