This is not a true port, there are gameplay changes made. I like them but anyone who searches for real CSS dust2 for CSGO this won´t be the best choice.

Oh, didnt notice that. I just know the CS:GO bots are harder now than they used to be. The hardest CS:GO bots used to be like normal bots on CSS. Now they are at least a bit challenging. I used to have games on arms race baggage against the bots where I didnt die a single time, nowadays thats no longer easily possible. Either way, LeRutY, I hope you enjoy this CSS port. I'm still stunned by the amount of visitors and subscribers this map has, and 503 ratings, most of which are 5 stars. Its one of the most upvoted CS:GO maps and its just a simple port I did. I never expected it to take off like this :o

You can do this via console commands.

Also CSGO bots aren´t near difficulty as the CSS ones. Because CSGO bots won´t shoot at your head if they only see that. Going behind cover where only your head pops up, you can easily smack the bots.

Also this port is like 5 years old and I did it on my laptop and have long since lost the files. So nothing I can do about it anymore. I'd have to redo the whole thing from scratch and since CS:GO is not even better than CSS, its really not worth it. At least CS:GO has finally brought back the AI from CSS and bots are not just free kills anymore even on the highest difficulty. Its finally a bit of a challenge again. But the gun handling is still awful. And that its not easily possible to create a local server with more than 5 players/bots per team. In CSS I used to run Dust 2 with 2-3 expert bots on my team, vs 20 easy bots on the enemy team. And it was tons of fun. Fighting so extremely outnumbered even by easy bots is a real challenge. I wouldnt even know how to set that up in CSGO.

Actually I didnt modify the tunnel at all. Ofc its missing the boxes but everything else is just like in CSS. Well except that most of it had lost its textures so I had to apply new ones.

Do a better job porting it then. With 501 good ratings I think its safe to presume that people like it this way. Yes the boxes fked off when I ported the map. Yes I even added them in again afterwards but the map didnt work with them for some reason, so I had to get rid of them again.
Which left the map in the state it is right now which was already a ton of work, because after porting the map basically lost three quarters of all its textures which I had to put back in.

this map sucks its not even similiar to dust2 in css it looks like de_dust2_unlimited if you want to make this map look like de_dust2 in css you should remove extra rooms and add more details

you obviously cannot use this map without downloading it. once you downloaded it, start it from your client's internal workshop map selector, and bam, play competitive.

working on a de_dust2 remake map, gonna release that one soon. its nice, but sadly its all a bit oversized :|

anyways, if somebody wants to help me on it just send a pm.

also i'll port dust2 from css to csgo again as a better version than this one, but that will take a while. have a nice day! :)

I know what it's like to work with hammer tools and edit maps in the css, but to edit the details and a map conflicts about polygons and conflicts takes time .... I'm not saying it's bad but it had launched with so many bugs .. you rushed to post it unfinished ....

Perhaps check out my other maps. One of them (the one with the slopes, in the small room) is quite cool. The others are more or less lame I'd say. I'm not that experienced in making maps by myself ^^

Yeah, your english is quite not that good. You are right, the map is not completely finished. But it was releasable and all other stuff is stuff that is not necessary. Yeah, the map doesnt look the same without it. But also adding all of them in would have taken ages because after the Porting nearly all objects were broken and 1/4 of the textures (can you imagine how long it took to fix all them? :| )
And this isn't a remake. In case I will ever remake a map it will most likely be Aztec or Piranesi. Piranesi mainly because after I tried to port it, 7/8 of the textures were missing so I temporary gave up on that.

Its not the Worst Map Ever Seen (basically because it is De_Dust2, the best Counter Strike Map at all). And yes the Port contains a few bugs. So what? I fixed alot of them already and I simply just can't fix all of them and add all objects back in because that would take ages of time and each object needs quite a while to fix the position so it isnt stuck in the ground for example, which would look weird.

The conversion is definitely not horrible. I fixed alot of bugs, for example Texture bugs, as well as objects stuck in walls and the ground. The changes made are only 3. First one is the new room at the T-spawn. 2nd one is the new way to get to A from the CT-spawn. Last one is a concrete line I had to add between CT Spawn and B, because there was an unfixable bug in the ground where you could look through the textures somewhere into the nowhere. So I simply put that concrete block over the "hole".

man this map is not finish there are a lot graphic bugs fix first poligons and then copilate the map!!! what rong whith the boxes i belive you remove because of compiling errors-- all entitys removed-- not good . remake a good map whit all objects (sorry for my english)

i did not remake the map. ive ported the old map and edited it a bit. the editing contained of two things: the 3rd way out of the ct spawn and the new area at the t-spawn. Not more, not less. i also had to remove some boxes because their entitys were buggy as hell and i would have needed to replace them all with new ones. i plan on doing that in the near future but it will take a while, tho.

Ok, i think the work you've done is really cool and was hard, but this is not really the map dust_2. You try to remake an old map, but you add special things the map never had, like the third way out of CT spawn. And what does that pink and yellow fog means? Not like the real dust_2 from CS:S but still as nice map.
