Won't be updating this one, though anyone else free to make a newer version. There are a bunch of planet UI mods out there though.
Sjru 🐲 24 Oct, 2019 @ 7:04pm
Update?
eny30 7 Aug, 2019 @ 1:13pm
Really great mod, I hope you get around to updating this mod. It really adds alot to a screen that a person spends most of their time looking at. Great job on this, hope to see it restored to working order in the future.
Alice❤ 28 May, 2019 @ 8:32am
Please update the compatibility file to indicate it doesn't work, it took me quite a bit of time to figure out what was causing the crashes :(
ButtJunkie  [author] 19 Apr, 2019 @ 9:41am
Yes, that's been noted in the description for a while now. I do a lot of other Stellaris modding so not sure if I'll get around to doing this one.
Rolhn 18 Apr, 2019 @ 9:52am
This needs an update, it is no longer compatible with anything above 2.2.5 and up, every time you enter the planet screen it will automatically crash to desktop. Please update.
Janitor 9 Apr, 2019 @ 2:12pm
i'd love if this one got updated
TTV/COFFENATION 9 Apr, 2019 @ 9:08am
I need the update so badly <3 keep up the great work
Altaya 6 Apr, 2019 @ 2:15am
Why Paradox always changing something that making best mods to stop working?
izombieking 28 Mar, 2019 @ 9:29am
@charmander1 the mod is crashing due too the planet view changes made in 2.2.6. Until the mod is updated it will continue to crash.
charmander1 27 Mar, 2019 @ 4:01pm
this mod is causing my game to crash every time i click on a planet is there anyway to fix this issue or is an update required. Thanks and keep up the good work its modders like u that keep me playing this game
Drewman784 26 Mar, 2019 @ 4:29pm
please update this
Gopher 25 Mar, 2019 @ 1:46pm
I LOVE the way this UI lays out the information. I really don't want MORE slots so much as the layout itself. The extra slots are nice, but I feel going beyond 20-24 gets rather ridiculous
Dillosauras 23 Mar, 2019 @ 9:38am
yeah could you please update this one?
ButtJunkie  [author] 21 Mar, 2019 @ 1:08am
It's showing as compatible due to the way we modders usually do versions - You can choose the version as 2.2.0 or 2.2.*. The first means updating the mod every single patch, which is really tedious (and many modders wouldn't bother), while the second allows us to only update every major update. Since minor patches almost never break anything like this, almost all modders choose the second option.

The issue this time is that PDX did release a patch which broke planet UI mods, so it's quite the exception. Not sure whether to update this mod, check out the other planet UIs out there, and if you don't like them, let me know and I'll update this. I have a major mod I work on, and this one would require starting from scratch again, so I'd only do it if people *really* wanted it.
Sjru 🐲 20 Mar, 2019 @ 10:19pm
Is this just me or it's showing as compatible in the launcher when it's not?
JAC13 7 Mar, 2019 @ 12:48pm
My question was about update ;) not about possible compatibility
FiddleSticks96 7 Mar, 2019 @ 9:43am
@tamchuprinin The fact that the planet overview was drastically changed between 2.2.5 and 2.2.6 didn't tip you off that this mod wouldn't be immediately compatible?
JAC13 7 Mar, 2019 @ 9:28am
Will it be updated for 2.2.6? I like this mod, but it crashes after trying to view any planet...
Asriella 29 Jan, 2019 @ 12:30pm
nevermind, I figured it out, those 16 no just need 8 more no after them, in all spots in the file.
Asriella 29 Jan, 2019 @ 11:40am
How do I fix the thing with save editing for a previous made game to make use of the extra building slots, like, what am I looking for? I have all I need to change it, just no clue what am looking for
Penrose 3 Jan, 2019 @ 8:27pm
I love your UI mods--they clean everything up so well. But is there a way that you could release a version of this one that just changes the planetary UI without changing the number of buildings?
ButtJunkie  [author] 1 Jan, 2019 @ 10:13pm
They were kept close to the same size as vanilla to ensure they are compatible with 768 res.
Palynium 29 Dec, 2018 @ 12:50pm
You never mention but are any of these compatible with a 768 res?
Steven 24 Dec, 2018 @ 8:26am
yah and that is kinda of issue unless they plan on shrinking game scoop even more by making galaxys even smaller.
ButtJunkie  [author] 23 Dec, 2018 @ 10:39pm
Well each extra pop, building, district, job, ship etc adds more calculations, but then that was their choice to go down the same design route again (i.e. yet another system that ends up adding tons of pops, buildings, tiles/districts etc etc).

The mechanics of the game are fine for a game of a smaller scope - managing say 5-10 worlds - but not for a game of empires.
Steven 23 Dec, 2018 @ 9:51pm
well time frame game dosnt matter for tile size when you use mods that remove the building to pop locker lol. I got so sick and tired of baby sitting 50 or so planets every time pop incressed or decerss and a building got destoryed AI to dumb rebuild stuff and notifcations ever couple of secounds about building being ruined do to the pop lock is annoying also when you have huge empires. its to bad they locked this stuff up, ther offical claim for doing this change was that large building tiles on x number of planets cuased to much lag so that was reaosn they limited it supposly
ButtJunkie  [author] 23 Dec, 2018 @ 9:41pm
The number of building slots is hardcoded, all we can do is change the max. Could spawn blocker buildings in the others to lock those slots, but not for this mod. Also, planet size shouldn't really determine it's maximum development within the timeframe of the game.
Steven 23 Dec, 2018 @ 9:15pm
do you happen to have a mod that extending the building city view to allow up to 26 tiles but the number of tiles = the size of the planet so if its a size 6 planet you get 6 tiles if its 26 you get 26 like it use to before the patch ?
ButtJunkie  [author] 19 Dec, 2018 @ 10:28pm
The building slots only work on fresh games as the limit is determined at the start of a game (this is hardcoded). You can change it by editing the save file though :)
Fonfat 19 Dec, 2018 @ 12:36pm
When I build the 17th building, it breaks down. Population 112. What can be the case and what mods may conflict ?
Der Weltmarktfuhrer 17 Dec, 2018 @ 6:29pm
@ButtJunkie - Update: Tested mod by itself problem persists with new games and my friend has the problem as well.
Der Weltmarktfuhrer 17 Dec, 2018 @ 6:03pm
@ButtJunkie - Yes, I did use it for a new game and I don't have any conflicting mods that i'm aware of. Glitch seems to persist. . . I'm going to test Mod by itself.
ButtJunkie  [author] 17 Dec, 2018 @ 11:25am
@Gyrvendal - The name and description state 24 slots, and the top of the description has a link to the 36 slot version, so it should be obvious...

@Der Weltmarktfuhrer - did you start a new game? Mods that add slots require a new game.
Ran 17 Dec, 2018 @ 7:50am
In your screenshots there are 36 planet building slats and 12 corporate ones, yet you say 24 and 6 in the description, so which is it?
Der Weltmarktfuhrer 16 Dec, 2018 @ 5:36pm
The corporate buildings tiles disappear with this mod
Steven 16 Dec, 2018 @ 3:21pm
I kinda wish tile sets amount = to planet size like it use to be before the last expasion instead of being standard amount 16 18 or 24 or some people making it 37 or more. its to bad that the cant look like thisMax_planet_building_slots = Planet Size instead of what it is by default below. POPS_BUILDING_SLOTS = 5 # The amount of pops needed to unlock a new building slot
BASE_PLANET_BUILDING_SLOTS = 1 # defualt amount unlocked at start 1
MAX_PLANET_BUILDING_SLOTS = 16 # defualt number of slots
MetalCrüe 16 Dec, 2018 @ 10:31am
Is making a separate version, with bigger pop portraits, something you'd consider doing? Or would that be too much work?
ButtJunkie  [author] 16 Dec, 2018 @ 7:50am
The problem is increasing the portraits increases the size of the pop/job lists, amplifying the scrolling of that list.
Versadeath 15 Dec, 2018 @ 3:19pm
I'm also hoping someone can find a way to make pops portraits bigger, they're too small now. I miss how we could clearly see our pops before. Is there anything that could be done ?
MetalCrüe 15 Dec, 2018 @ 12:51pm
Hey @ButtJunkie, I was wodnering if it would be possible to expand the pop view, to see our pops more clearly? The portraits are awfully small.
@ButtJunkie
Oh sorry, I thaught I started a new game with your mod
ButtJunkie  [author] 14 Dec, 2018 @ 9:29pm
@NEVER FORGOTTEN - the description advises buildings will be ruined if you load it on an existing game...
MetalCrüe 14 Dec, 2018 @ 11:18am
@NEVER FORGOTTEN

You have to start a new game for it to work, which I found out when this mod was newly released.
Buildings in 16 slot and higher are still ruined. Will you fix this problem?
eldiabs 14 Dec, 2018 @ 7:11am
Guess they won't be getting any more money from me then. ;]

Trying a smaller galaxy with no wormhole or gateways right now. I read on the forums it helps a bunch...I'll find out in a while. Apparently there are serious pathfinding issues with anything other than hyperlanes in regards to trade.
ButtJunkie  [author] 14 Dec, 2018 @ 5:52am
"until they fix the horrible mid/late game stuttering that's been around forever"

That'll never happen. The design approach of Stellaris and the way checks are run ensure that performance gets worse over time. They've actually doubled-down on that approach with the new system. It's interesting and deeper than tiles, but like the tiles it just accumulates too many assets that are checked inefficiently.
eldiabs 14 Dec, 2018 @ 5:35am
I'm not paying for that overpriced junk dlc anyway. Half the mods I use have more content and are less buggy than that joke rip off. In fact I'm not putting another penny into this game (discounted or no) until they fix the horrible mid/late game stuttering that's been around forever, but is now 10x worse with gateways. Who does QA on their games?

Pointless rant aside, I really do like this version better. And there are no game breaking bugs! Thank you.
ButtJunkie  [author] 14 Dec, 2018 @ 5:25am
Don't thank me yet - made some corporate tab changes :P

Unfortunately can't get rid of crime and stability, and they have to appear in the same spot every tab, so hopefully people can overlook its awkwardness.
