@njondon you've gotta start up your own lobby with one of these maps. Doesn't matter what game-mode you choose. Sometimes the best technique is to host some other map that supports bots first then once you've got a few players swap over to one of the BR maps.

There's also the 50-player "community server" which is on an automatic rotation of all these maps. if you can get your lobby to move into that server that's even better; 'cause once that gets 20+ players it really changes the game :)

I'm not seeing these maps in active games. Is there a server where these are played more often by other players?

Yea, I update this list whenever I add the BR mod to a new map; so there wont' be any BR maps that aren't on this list.
