@Drax70 The CK2 version of the mod is no longer under development as I've moved onto CK3. For the CK3 version, haven't had time to but I hope to get to events for those at some point.

Is there any chance to extend VIET in the war aspect of the game?
Like in the middle of battles, raids, sieges etc.?

@divann.2 To my knowledge, HIP removed VIET from their original lineup many years ago. That VIET is also not the same as the VIET Reborn, which is a reboot that has many more events and improvements.

@Sundiata92 This mod is no longer being actively added to, as I've moved onto CK3. Right now I'll only maintain it if there's a CK2 patch that requires it for whatever reason.

Cbyrxkhan....I'm a modder of one, limited ability cause I'm new at it (sorta been doing it for myself errors and all for 2 years, mostly artifacts) and time...I'm a Middle School Special Education Teacher in Englewood, Chicago, IL , USA.....I most humbly ask if I can mod this for AGOT at least for myself. I'm way too shy and insecure to release it. Although I may "share" it with my brother and some friends. My autistic son enjoys the hell out of mods btw.

These events are so great and enhance the game so much, I'm going to implement them into my Cyber Kings series of map mods with the appropriate credits if that's alright

Hi author can you edit that love story event? Reduce words, make it to have less popup, just anything to make it less annoying. I was in the middle of war and that numerous petty story popup keep disturb me

@Muadiziro I've watched part of the show. Although if I was writing the Monogatari referencing events nowadays I wouldn't have the references be so on the nose.

@velocityy These days I prefer to mod CK3, much more I can do with it and it's a newer game. I consider my CK2 mods "finished" at this point.

@DondarfSnowbonk Unfortunately close to zero percent chance at this point, I have played a bit of Imperator but while I intend to get back into it at some point, I don't think it's the kind of game that will hold my interest for as long as Crusader Kings so I don't think I'll have the energy or time to maintain yet another mod for a different game. I do agree it does need a lot more flavor lol.

It doesn't look like you've ever worked on I:R mods at all, but what are the chances of you ever doing something like this for that game? I love the additional flavor VIET provides and Imperator desperately needs some more vanilla-friendly events.

@Coalsack Sorry for the late reply, seems to have escaped my notice. If it's still a problem, you can download the manual version on GitHub and modify the on_actions file to reduce the chances that the artifact spawn will appear.

@Freed Rey: Yes, technically this is compatible with any mod as it doesn't touch any vanilla code. Just be aware an occasional event might not make sense in the AGOT universe, but those should be very rare.

Any way to tone down the random clutter artifact spawn? Or limiting their spawn to emperor-tier characters? Game is getting bogged with random nobodies having 3 artifacts, that remain no matter what since I have another mod that prevents artifact losing on death.

I deleted a lot of them on the save file, but they keep respawning due events.

@Aonghas I'm guessing the mod overrides the folder as a whole, rather than the separate text files (since my mod only adds in new files, not edit existing vanilla ones). Not a common thing to do but I'm guessing it was necessary for what they wanted to do. Anyhow, glad it worked out!

i think the issue is that the nmih mod replaces the events directory. i tried putting the viet events into the nmih folder and now the events fire.

@Aonghas The mods should not conflict as VIET does not touch vanilla code. It's possible the mod did not download properly, which is an issue with Steam workshop across a lot of games from time to time. Try unsubscribing, loading into the game, exiting, and resubscribing - that usually works for me. If not, try doing that with all your mods, or verifying the integrity of the cache. As a last resort, download the Github install version in the link in the description to manually install the mod.

Very late to the party (I recently got the CK2 itch again), but you may want to check if you have this option activated in your Steam settings/Cloud menu :

"Enable Steam cloud synchronization"

I ran into the same issue than you (workshop mods wouldn't properly download once subscribed), and it worked for me.

I just uploaded a small update that contains the missing French localization (courtesy of Mouchi and the WTWSMS team) for anybody who's still playing CK2 in French.
